"I chose East Coast TVs because they had the lowest price TV’s on the internet, soon after placing the order, they called to tell me that I needed to add insurance and expedited shipping or it would delay delivery and they wouldn't be responsible if it was broken. I ended up paying the additional $150, and was told they had it in stock and I would have it in 2 or 3 days. I called numerous times and got different stories about how long it was going to take, but in the end, The order was placed on 9/22 and I received the TV on 10/2 (10 days later) and that's with paying for expedited shipping.
The price was still lower than Amazon and most other retailers. East Coast TVs told me that all of the lower priced TV retailers call their customers for the upsell.
The TV was delivered in perfect working order and the delivery team opened it, plugged it in and allowed me to check it out. This is very important, because according to East Coast TVs disclaimer, once you’ve signed for it, it’s yours even if you find it to be damaged later.

"Ordered a 65 inch Samsung from East Coast. Their price was the lowest by far when I did some research using Google Shopping. They were prompt in processing of the order. There was no real attempt to up-sell anything when they called to confirm the order. In fact, they included a 12 foot HDMI cable for free as part of the order. The TV arrived in perfect condition. The white glove delivery was very good. The delivery people were very polite and did everything they were supposed to do. I would definitely purchase from East Coast again for any big ticket items."

After reading reviews on Yelp and other sites, I had a good idea on what to expect after placing my order late on a Sunday night. While placing my order, I stated in the notes section that I did not want the warranty or the white glove service. Although I used the 2% discount code while paying by CC, I knew they would reject it (I was fine paying the additional $40+ for the TV. I was saving $1200+ +tax by going to a local store.
As some of the others reviewers stated, I did receive a call Monday morning from Steve who in the end, was a nice guy and just doing his job. He did try to sell me briefly on the warranty but more so on the white glove service, stating I would get the TV much quicker, as it could take 2-3 weeks without the white glove. I was in no rush for the TV so I declined. He didn't seem happy about it but thanked me for my order and wished me luck with the TV but not before explaining the 2% discount being removed unless I paid by check, COD or wire transfer. I was fine with the CC payment as stated earlier.
Within the next 24 hours I received an emailed receipt for the updated amount and shortly after an email with tracking information. On Wednesday, I received a call that the TV would arrive on Thursday between 1-5pm. I wasn't surprised since I'm in NY and they are in NJ. Not sure what the white glove service would have done here and I'm not sure what it would do for people ordering from states further out.
The TV arrived at 6pm on Thursday (yesterday). My wife was home to receive it. The TV was opened, plugged in and checked for damage/proper operation. I arrived shortly after to find the TV sitting in the bottom of the box on the floor, ready for me to get to work. Please note, that for TVs above 50" (it could be 55", please see the disclaimer on their site), the delivery people are to open the box and check the TV as they did for me at no extra charge to ensure everything is ok before you sign off.
The Samsung PN60F8500 is a stunning television! I am happy to report, all is well with the unit and I am very satisfied with my overall experience with EastCoastTVs. I will be ordering from them in the future when my basement is ready! I would also recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new TV.

Don't waste money on the "White Glove Delivery" because it will NOT include assembly and installation. My TV weighed only 30 pounds, so I wasted $99.95 on "white glove" shipping. They also charged $52.88 for "shipping protection". Shipping is supposed to be free.
I ordered the TV on 10/16 and it was delivered on 10/22. I had previously ordered the TV from SEARS, but after two days of failed deliveries, I switched to East Coast TVs. The delivery company from East Coast called to give me a 4 hour window of delivery, called saying they would be late and asked if I still wanted delivery that night. Since I wanted delivery, they came and were efficient.

They exceeded my shipping requirement and got the displays to me a day earlier than what was promised. "I have to admit I was a bit nervous making such a large purchase over the Internet. However, it worked out a lot better then I expected. My husband and I did our research via Consumer Reports and then checked local stores. The cost for the TV through East Coast TVs was substantially lower. The time to ship was minimal. The TV was in pristine shape when it arrived, they carefully carried it in and removed the box and packing, lifted it onto our entertainment center, and the delivery folks waited patiently while I inspected the TV and then powered on to make sure it worked as advertised.
All and all it was a very good experience and both my husband and I feel that we purchased a awesome TV and got a good bargain on the price.
