"This is a company that sells tools and equipment to amateur and professional watchmakers.
I have contacted them via email twice and was responded to in a condescending manner on both occasions.
I asked about receiving a printed catalog. The response was that I have to use their website because it's
Better and faster. Gee, how about simply saying that they no longer produce printed catalogs instead of that stupid response? There are times when you get ideas browsing paper catalogs, and furthermore,
There are times when you won't have access to an internet connection.
Very recently I dropped $500.00 on 2 orders consisting of inexpensive to expensive items, like Bergeon screwdrivers (almost 300.00 right there). I emailed them about a Bergeon work mat that's 23.00 because it arrived creased and requested a return label so that I could effect an exchange.
I paid for NEW and undamaged merchandise, I expected NEW and undamaged merchandise.
The loser who responded to my email wants me to take a picture of the item as if I'm lying.
I'm going to call them repeatedly until they send the label or refund my money.
When you consider time hourly wages, I will make certain that it costs them more money
Than the item they're being so petty about. I trusted them with my credit card information but
They don't trust me about a damaged Bergeon mat. They take a customer's trust for granted
Like a lot of other businesses.
Watchmaking as a hobby is expensive, and I'll think twice before ordering from Esslinger.
Imagine having had an issue with an expensive purchase...
Now I know that buying from Esslinger, my satisfaction means nothing to them.
Keep my experience in mind before you part with your (many) dollars.
Arrogance like this eventually catches up to any business.
Esslinger, do you really think that I need to scam you out of 23.00?
How F'ing petty!
If this happens to you, contact your credit card company and open a dispute,
Which I plan to do after I call them.
Tip for consumers:
Shop around before you plunk down your hard-earned dollars at Esslinger.
Don't go to them first, like I did. I learned my lesson.

"They accepted my return filled the same day of receiving the machine. But I had to pay the shipping return because it is not their mistake. Receiving non functional machine is the mistake of the customer? Plus if you opened and used the machine there will be no refund. How do I know that the machine doesn’t work if I do not use it? In my opinion stay away from this company. Their return policy is a scam. "
"I’ve purchased many times from Esslinger.com
And always left satisfied. I always felt like my order was treated with urgency and I always got what I paid for. I just received another crystal like two days after purchase. Always well packaged and I always keep the old plastic cassette packagings to keep tools and old watch parts. Always happy to do business at Esslinger.com. I hope they never run out of business and keep up the great prices! "
"I ordered some tools from this company - several times. They delivered and everything seemed fine. Then I ordered a set of fairly expensive screwdrivers now that they had my trust. I bought the wrong set! I wouldn't happily exchanged them or even accepted the correct insert bits or anything to help. I went through their return process online - was emailed an approval and I sent them back as per their instructions. They said to pack them really well etc. So I did! I didn't send the original box due to it being flimsy and I didn't think it mattered. They contacted me, rejected my refund and told me, I didn't send the original box. They didn't offer any assistance at all - no restock fee - no, "please send the original box...", no - "we can send a lesser but, correct set out to you but, can't give a refund" etc. Why accept my return, make me package and pay shipping on top of already buying the product THEN telling me "you didn't send the original box". They could've asked instead of immediately rejecting my return. OMG here's the kicker - they asked me several times "do you want us to send these back". Really? Why would I want them to keep my expensive set of screwdrivers that I can still recoup some of the funds as they are NEW. WOW the NERVE! I can't believe the horrible return (non-return) experience. It was a small price to pay - at least they won't continue to rob me. Good luck to the rest of you - hope you don't have to return anything to them..."
"A truly bad experience, I purchased a wrench to open a Sky-dweller watch, it was not built to the proper size so I returned it for exchange or credit for future purchases. I never was credited, they do NOT answer emails and do NOT have a phone number!
Ironically, if you place an item in the cart on their web-site, immediately you start getting emails to hurry and buy the product. I believe I got taken advantage with this Company!"
"I bought a watchband off of eBay and the clasp was absolutely horrible (the safety kept coming loose and the clasp size didn't match the size of the bracelet). Esslinger had a double deployment clasp in the perfect 16mm size for my bracelet for $5.95 and they shipped it out super fast! Just installed it and it's perfect for the price point! Highly recommend!"
"The tool kits they offer are the same as the Chinese tool kits on eBay, just 5 times more expensive. They get 2 stars for having decent prices on Bergeron tools but you can get them just as cheap at Otto frie. Also DO NOT BUY THEIR MULTICOLOR ALUMINUM LOUPE SET. They are all the same magnification."
"Tried paying wt my debit card didn't work. Paypal didn't even connected. The only method Esslinger Account, something that I wasn't able to find any explanation what it is on their website.
From my point of view it looks like a phishing web site. Asked them to cancel my order, can't trust something that is not explained."
"I ordered a simple watch strap and selected their standard shipping option. It arrived within two days. Happy to be sporting it so quickly!"
"I needed 2 min clock movements and they had them and sent them out promptly. Was very easy to navigate their website and the pictures were very good. I properly measured and knew they would fit and the did.
Thank You for a great web store and prompt shipping.

"After placing an order for a screwdriver, I let them know that it was missing a part. They do NOT have a phone so the email is the only way of communicating. The screwdriver was like 20$, I asked them to send the missing part but they responded with saying for me to just return it and didn't give me a return label. I paid $14 more for return shipping.
After they received the package, they filed a UPS claim. Now its turning into a long process.
Bottomline, NEVER EVER ORDER FROM here.
Esslinger and company is horrible to deal with, absolutely horrible. Esslinger will take your money, and then make it impossible later to resolve anything."
"Needed the friction pin for my tri fold clasp on my Invicta watch. Took a few measurements and ordered the set of pins. For around $5 I received 10 pins. They are actually a bit thinner than i needed (my fault, nothing against Esslinger!) But the pin worked great and I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again!!!! A+"
"Ordered a watchband, just $15.00. A week and a half later, the USPS texts just stopped, the post office checked it out and said it seems it never left Minnesota. Esslinger seems to have no phone number, so I emailed them via their website. They responded that I should wait another week, and then if it hasn't come they will file a claim with the post office. I asked them if they could send out another band, and if it ever comes I would return it. No response. I am not going to wait a month for a $15.00 watchband, so I ordered another one elsewhere. I asked for a refund, who knows if I'll ever get it.
This is no way to do business. Amazon is so much better when there are issues with an order."
"Placed two different orders with Esslinger. First one went fine but the second one was a little different. I received a button cell battery which was almost completely depleted, although it had an exp date of Feb '21 on the unopened blister pack; I had ordered two. One good, one bad with the same expiration dates - go figure? Long story short … Esslinger refused to replace the battery and thus lost a ongoing longtime customer over $1.40 battery - the original order was for $61.00.
"What you have just done is to call into question my integrity and honesty and THIS I will not stand for! Esslinger has just lost a new and ongoing customer over a battery which Esslinger probably paid $.65 for thanks to you. You should have offered to replace that battery at my word WITHOUT QUESTION - I would have even been willing to send it back (as proof). Either you are VERY poor at the function you are performing for your employer or Esslinger is a company that I wish to NO LONGER deal with".
The final result: Esslinger is a company I choose to no longer do business with.
P.S. never even received a comment from them on my letter

"Got the Mini Quartz clock movement today. Two days after order! Yeow, hooked it up, works great. Thanks."
