"The Worst Shop ever, please avoid!!!! inaccurate policy and bad customer service!"
"This is the worst site I have ever ordered from! I ordered 2 sets of replacement lenses for $167.85 and selected priority (3 - 4 day) delivery. At 7 o'clock p.m. on the 4th day I received an e-mail saying they were currently processing my order and that one of the sets of lenses are out of stock. I checked the site immediately and it still said nothing about being out of stock. The e-mail was absolutely unapologetic and purely wanted to know if I wanted to cancel, select a different model, or wait. I called since the e-mail wasn't particularly descriptive and I got the same lack of any kind of care about me, their customer. This company doesn't deserve your money when there are so many other sites that do all the same. The only difference is that this site doesn't tell you until a week later that their products are out of stock. And when you paid extra for 3 – 4 day shipping, a week later isn’t the first they should have noticed. Go anywhere else for your own sake."
"Like most of the reviews, this place is sketchy. I do not normally write reviews but hopefully I can give notice for others not to buy from here.
I placed my order almost 3 weeks ago and heard nothing back from them. I tried calling and emailing to ask the status: the phone number they have listed rang and rang and said nothing about it being an eye doc shoppe. No one replied to my emails either. I was able to contact someone with their online live chatting with "honey", and after answering one question, she logged offline. Today I called twice and the second time around, a girl did pick up, but I thought I had dialed the wrong number because all i heard was a small voice "hello?" I had to confirm with her I was speaking to someone from Eyedocshoppe. I asked her to cancel my order because she said the glasses were not in stock and who they order them from is not calling back???
All in all bad customer service and not worth the time and hassle since they do not respond or let you know that your order has been back-ordered. Hopefully the return shows up on my credit card."
"EyeDocShoppe.com was a great deal. I bought Oakley prescription Flawless frames and a customized lenses. They fit perfectly and the lenses are excellent. The turnaround time was 11 days probably due to the lenses.. Now for the bad news... The lens coating peels. The glasses had to be sent back for repair twice, 6 months and 12 months after purchase. When I received my glasses back the last time, there was a slight -SCRATCH- at the top of the left lens AND the frame was not screwed down tight on the right lens. I'm not risking it again with this company. The second return was handled by SunOptique.com. I believe that had I purchased at a local store each repair might have been done correctly before they were handed to me. Buyers Beware!"
"I was concerned at first because their prices were quite a bit lower for the frames I wanted plus some of the earlier reviews were less than stellar to say the least. However the product was shipped quickly and arrived brand new and without any issues. They earn my recommendation."
"Eyedocshoppe.com did an excellent job of filling my prescription. I faxed them my doctor's note, and they asked for additional measurements which I got from my local optician with no problem and at no cost. Eyedoc has an extensive stock of frames but, what is unusual, is the fact that they also have a very complete array of lenses according to manufacturer, quality, features, and price. I found no other online merchant who offered this service. "

"I was sceptical when I read the negative reviews but realized that there was an element of truth in all of them.
I ordered my sunglasses on the 24th of November in time for a Christmas gift. I was not e-mailed any tracking numbers as adised I would be. I had to use their live chat system to get the tracking details.
When I received them they were the wrong sunglsses!!!
I was advised that I could send them back and also get a refund on my postage.
I sent them back on the 10th of December 2009.
I did not receive any correspondence that they had received my return order until again I had to use their live chat system.
They advised me that they had just received my returned sunglasses on the same day I called them. They told me that they would send my replacement pair on the 20th of of December. Again I received no correspond of tracking details.
I contacted them today which is 31st December 2009 (Australia). They have said that they only sent sent my replacement sunglasses 2 days ago. They also said that they sent me my tracking number but they did not. I had to get that off them today only via their live chat system. I will have to wait and see if I do receive my sunglasses and my refund of my postage which was over $20.
I would like to say that I am extremely disappointed with the level of service and would not recommend this website. It has taken over a month and I still have not received my original order. I am a patient person and took into consideration the Holiday season. However when you do not communicate with your customers and let them know what is going on it creates distrust which in my case it has.
I would exercise caution if dealing with eyedocshoppe. I do not take the time to actually write reviews but my frustration and disappointment has lead me to this."

"This transaction was ridiculously AWFUL! The frames arrived with an arm broken off, no padding, bubble wrap, NADA. Just a pair of broken frames in an empty box. I informed EyeDocShoppe immediately and said I wanted a refund. I sent this letter to the 2 email addresses I could find to be sure they got it. No reply.
So now they have my money and the (defective) glasses, and I have received nothing in return(which is the technical definition of theft). I let two billing cycles go by on my credit card in case the refund was not made soon emough to be reflected on the first one. Nothing.
I contact my company, explain the situation, and have the charge reversed. Guess what? Now these guys appear out of nowhere, and they actually contest the reversal! They have accepted the money and the return of the defective frames, and refused to respond to me to boot! Unbelievable!
In their ridiculous reply, they provide the entire email thread proving that I tried to contact them on numerous occassions with no answer from them for TWO MONTHS! They actually prove their non-performance for me!!
Incredible. Right now, I am expecting (finally) the return of my money, and have every intention of filing a report with the Better Business Bureau. It won't be the first one they've recieved regarding EyeDocShoppe.com. I checked.
My advice to you is STAY AWAY! These people conduct themselves in a fraudulent and dishonest manner, save yourselves the agita.
I really can't believe the terrible condition that these frames arrived in. Btw, they offered to file an insurance claim against the shipper! As if the shipping agent would open a box, take out the glasses, snap an arm off, remove all the padding and the eyeglass case, the cleaning cloth, and the wondrous "certificate of authenticity" that they claim goes into every 'carefully inspected' shipment... and then return the broken glasses into the empty box, re-seal the box and then send it one its way. can you spell "attempt to commit insurance fraud?" Who would believe something like that?!
Do yourselves a favor and shop elsewhere for your glasses. These other reviews must have come from the owner's embarassed family!

"I don't think this website is any where close to legal. I am not sure how those 5 star review got their orders. But I still have not received anything from them since I placed my order at the end of July. Contacted them through email and phone many times but never got a response. The voice mail on the phone gave me a fishy email address of "****@****" which never sounded legit to me. There is no "account" page or whatsoever for you to check your order status. finally disputed the charge at the end. After all, buyers stay as far as you can. "
