"Prior to placing my order I spoke with an Eyesave customer service rep to confirm that they do not ship via USPS (I have received several damaged items from that carrier). I stated that I would not place an order USPS was to be used. I was told my order would ship UPS, and definitely not USPS. However, my item shipped USPS.

This is my first experience with Eyesave and I am not sure I will be ordering from them again.

"Worst experience. Order reading glasses I had chosen wrong magnification, I return it and wanted store credit, they only refund me the difference after taking the shipping cost. Zero stars.. So disgruntled at these people"

"My order for a pair of Smith sunglasses took 2 weeks for them to ship. This is the second order I have placed with them that has taken much longer than their advertised 3-5 days, the first order being for a pair of Nike sunglasses about a year and a half ago. I received no status updates on my order from them so I called to find out what was going on after a week. They said the order was backordered, which was the same thing they told me about my Nike sunglasses. They apparently carry NO INVENTORY and have to order everything from the manufacturer. They told me they were a small business and couldn't afford to carry inventory, like that was MY problem. Maybe they should advertise that they will ship in 3-5 days if that is the case. They told me my glasses would arrive on Thursday of the following week and that they would send them to me overnight so I would have them for an out of the country trip that I needed them for. When they finally shipped my order, it was on Friday, not Thursday, and they were supposed to send it by overnight delivery, and they didn't. They sent it via the US Postal Service priority mail instead, and they were not shipped out of their location, but Denver. I could have ran up and got them since I was only an hour away. My package did not arrive in time for my trip, though I had placed my order in plenty of time for it to get here. Their customer service is lousy, and for saving a few bucks it wasn't worth it. I could have got the same glasses on Amazon for about $5 more. Never again will I buy from them."

"Awful service. Sold me a product that showed that it was in stock and then informed me in my order confirmation that I had to wait 3-5 business days for the order to ship. After 9 days I called to see what the deal was and the service representative basically told me to stop being impatient. Then she proceeded to tell me that after two weeks I would have received an email that the order was delayed. When I told her that some sort of email or notification about the purchase would have been nice, she gave me the same excuse of how I would have been notified after 14 business days. Needless to say, I cancelled the order and won't be ordering from them again. On top of the delay, I would have only paid 5 more at REI without any sort of discount. I also would have been treated like a customer at REI."

"I researched what I consider the entire Internet for a specific style of sunglasses without paying an exorbitant amount of money. I visited Amazon.com and discovered Eyesave.com as one of their sponsors and clicked on the website's link. There, I found a huge array of sunglasses in addition to the pair I saw on Amazon. I was very impressed with the selection and the great discounts. The sunglasses of my preference were available and I purchased them right away. There was an issue with the time of delivery as the sunglasses weren't in stock at the time. I inquired about the delivery issue and was very pleased with the customer service in which each associate I spoke to was very courteous, concerned towards my issue and determined to resolve it as quickly as possible. The reviews on Eyesave.com were outstanding, with rave reviews on it's customer service. I see why. The manager, was extremely accomodating and pleasant. Although I waited a little longer than I originally expected after initially placing the order, it was worth it. When I received the sunglasses, I was very pleased with the style and how carefully they were packed. Eyesave.com truly mainatins a leading and a very solid on-line presence, and I highly recommend them."

"Horrible experience. They tell you to allow for 3-5 days for shipment. I just called them on an order I placed 7 business days ago and they said it has been processing and is shipping today. When I asked them why it says allow 3-5 days for shipment when in reality it takes 7 days just for processing she said she would "look into it". I will NEVER order again from them"

"It took almost 2 weeks and I still had heard nothing. I had to call to inquire about the lenses and only then was I told it was backordered. The check order option doesn't work. after 10 days all it said was wait 3-5 days to check on the order. Why is that option on there if it doesn't tell you any info? The Customer service person was great and helpful when I finally called to cancel my order. Overall the product is good. If you don't mind waiting a couple extra weeks and not knowing what the status of your order is, then this is a good site. Bottom line is you can't find replacement lenses anywhere else so there is a monopoly which is probably why the customer service sucks. There's nowhere else to go. "
