"I ordered Mother's Day flowers for my wife (card was from my daughter's). I ordered them early in the week and to ensure there were not issues with the delivery, I choose to have them delivered on Friday. I also happened to be traveling on the weekend, so I was surprised when my wife did not call to say she received them.

To make a long story short, when I arrived at my destination Friday night, I called FTD. It took about 45 minutes to actually reach someone who did not understand what I was asking. Eventually, I was able to convince the customer service representative that I was calling about an order that was not delivered. Her response was it could take up until 9pm to have them delivered. I told her it was 9:15 and could she please contact the florist to see if they would be delivered.

No way to contact florist so she said she sent a message to have the flowers delivered first thing Saturday. I was doing an all day event Saturday with not cell service, so I could not get updates. Once I was back within cell range (around 6pm), I checked with my wife (had to spoil the "surprise") to see if the flowers arrived. They had not. Yet another call to FTD. Another 45 minute wait for customer service to come on only to say, the flowers had been delivered. I reassured the representative that the flowers were not delivered to my house (if they were delivered at all). After another 40 minutes or so on the phone, the representative she would initiate a "proof of delivery" action with the florist and I could call back later to get an update.

I called later that evening and (again after a LONG wait) was told that the flowers were NOT delivered (yeah - I told you that). They would be delivered first thing on Sunday, Mother's Day. The flowers did arrive on Sunday afternoon (not first thing). The flowers themselves were very nice, but the whole experience was horrible. I would expect a major Flower Delivery Service like FTD would be prepared for one of the biggest flower days of the year (Mother'd Day).

At any rate the whole process was just miserable, I had to spend too much time on the phone, explain to people that did not understand me what was happening. At the end of the day, I will NEVER use FTD again! "

"I purchased flowers for my Mom for Mother's Day. They were terrible and did not look like the photo on the website at all. Half the flowers were dead and the arrangement did not even last a week. I will buy locally from now on so I know exactly what my Mom will get and not a half dead arrangement and not what the photo looked like. Extremely disappointed and with FTD's customer service when I contacted them about the arrangement that was sent...not one email or call back when I contacted them. FTD used a florist that was 45 minutes away from my Mom and how they can be a florist, I will never know. Just all around a terrible experience."

"I order flowers every year for my grandmother's birthday. The past 3 years have been a gamble. 2 years it was "delayed" even though I ordered a week in advance and delayed means not on her birthday. This year they were on time, but missing the card and even just a "from" or who the business was. Also the delivery person didn't knock or ring the doorbell and my family watched them place it on the porch vs knock or ringing to alert them of their arrival.Flowers have been nice but the service leaves much to be desired.
