"We use these stars as finisher medals for our stair-climbing race. The funds we raise are used to support our local Boys & Girls Club, so we have the kids decorate the medals. They are super cute and I would love to post a picture if I saw that option. We spray paint the stars bright yellow, and the Club kids design different graphics and use marking pens to create the designs on the stars. Each star is unique; some are elaborate, some just simple blocks of color. Our runners absolutely love them. We drill a hole in the star and use a shoelace through the hole to create a lanyard. We place the hole so that the star hangs at a slant, looking like a little star person running up hill...or in our case, up stairs! Cute as can be. Note that there are two part numbers for these stars...one to purchase individually and one to purchase in 24/each bulk. You can save a lot of money by buying the bulk if you need a lot of stars (and we do!). Also, when we buy them in bulk, we generally find at least one out of every bulk bag has some splinters or scars. Sometimes they are still usable, sometimes not, so do plan for a few not necessarily working for your project."
