"The filter was to be used on the intake grill on the return, which is a ridged metal frame. The filter also has a ridged frame so it wouldn't fit. If the air filter was just a quarter inch smaller on both length and width it would have fit. I trimmed it myself and made it work because I don't like to return things and I wanted a reusable filter. I assume it would have fit a different type of application than the one I have. The filter seems to be built very well and I will get good use from it.
If the company would take a quarter inch off the length and width it would fit all applications since it has about an inch of aluminum frame to work with. "
