"My fiancé ordered boots for me for Xmas. I had to pick them up, we were looking all over and here said they were in stock. I get there, mind you it’s Xmas time, around 6pm at night, mad traffic and I live over 20 min away. I get there and they can’t find my order and then one of the cashiers says to me was it a 7 1/2 ladies? I said yeah, she says we rejected that this morning. So I reiterated so you cancelled the order? Then she says all rude with this irritated look on her face, we rejected it. What happened to being a little more empathetic to a customer that just drove in rush hour traffic to pick up something and go home empty handed? She acted like I was bothering her, when I wouldn’t have went there if I didn’t have an order to pick up. So I call my fiancée and explain what happened, he gets on there customer service and they say it will take 2-10 days to get his money back. 2-10 days! Right before Xmas, like people have it like that to just wait an extra 10 days to get over $100 back. They took the money before without the guarantee of the product. But they were quick to take that money though. On the bright side, I’m a researcher. Went on Foot Locker and behold I find the same thing, same exact price and it’s being shipped to me. Moral of the story… the only thing Famous Footwear is Fanous for is letting you down. Go to Foot Locker instead and even let them come to you for the same price. God Bless!"
"I will never order from famous footwear again. I was home, got the email saying the shoes were delivered so I checked the door - nothing. Now, I have to wait EIGHT days for Fedex to make the delivery before I can even reach back out to Famous Footwear to submit a claim. It's going to take MONTHS before I get a refund for this. All for a pair of shoes. I'm going to spend so much time and energy righting FF wrong. This is an unbelievable process and policy in 2023. It feels so scammy....they just hold onto your money for products you never receive?"
"They discriminate against you. They use FedEx to do deliveries and they dropped my package off to the wrong house and then customer service told me that they can no longer deliver to my house for a error on their behalf. I have been a loyal customer for years but I am more then happy to delete this account."
"My wife, daughter and I shopped here recently. There were huge banners reading “Buy One Get One 50% Off”. Also, when we walked in the store, the associate yelled “we’re having a huge Buy One Get One Half Off Sale”. We found a pair of Nikes then decided because it was half off the next pair we’d get another. We also got a third but didn’t find a fourth we liked. So three pairs of Nikes. At the register the cashiers revealed that it only applies to certain brands (Crocs and some others), not Nikes. We reluctantly paid full price.
These are dishonest business practices. At the bottom, the sign says “some exclusions apply”. Excluding all Nikes is not some exclusions. It’s a huge exclusion.
My advice is: choose a different shoe store. There are so many better ones that actually honor what they say."

"Horrible customer service. I went to the Bountiful Utah location today 10 minutes before they closed. I was not going to take long but needed a good pair of walking shoes for an upcoming trip. I was greeted at the door by a young woman twirling the keys to the front door. She said they were closing in 8 minutes and asked me if there was something she could help me find. I felt unwelcome and rushed. At 1 minute before 6:00 she comes back and told me the store is closed and I needed to take my purchase to the counter. I expressed with some aggravation that I was just about to go to the counter. At the counter was another girl, Hadley. I expressed to her that I never felt so unwelcome as a customer. She snapped at me and said we are closed and you are making us stay late. Mind you it was exactly 6:00 when I reached the counter. She began to argue with me and I told her there is no reason to be so rude. She said I didn’t value her time and how would I like it if someone didn’t value my time. She reached over the counter and began pressing the prompts on the card reader as she argued with me. Then threatens me that she can refuse service and not even sell me the shoes! I asked for her name and the other girl’s name so I could report their bad behavior to the owners. She refused to tell me her name and the other girl’s name. I did happen to catch a glance at her name tag (Hadley). It was an awful experience and I don’t think I can even wear the shoes I just bought because it will remind me of the horrible experience every time I wear them. I will not ever shop at this store again. I’ve been a repeat customer at this location for over 15 years. No one should ever have to experience this mistreatment when just wanting to buy shoes. Ever!"

"I have been trying to get in contact with a customer service representative for an order (IN WHICH I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ) I have attempted via phone (1 hr wait mind you) and email (which they have 12-16 days to respond to you, UNHEARD of in a professional setting, right?. I will NEVER order from here again and yet to have my issues resolved. Pretty sure I’m just gonna have to take this loss of money and/or shoes. "I ordered a pair of shoes online from Famous Footwear because they were not available in the store. They came rather quickly but they had sent me a box containing 2 different sizes of shoes. I brushed this off, was fine with going into a store and returning them, (returning the shoes in-store was the only positive customer experience I had) and re-ordered the shoes again - which never came. FedEx lost the second pair of shoes. It said delivered, but I was home most of that day, checked all around my house, and checked with neighbors. They are nowhere. I called FedEx which investigated and said to give them 24-48 hours. I called FedEx again and confirmed that enough time has gone by that the shipper should file a claim and confirmed that their trace team could not track down the package. I called Famous Footwear after that and asked for a refund and told them I had gotten confirmation from FedEx the package was missing. They refused because they have to wait a full week to do that despite the confirmation from FedEx. Any other online retailer would have issued a refund with it being 4 days past when it said it was delivered and the confirmation from FedEx themselves. This will be the last online purchase I make from Famous Footwear the experience and care for the customer has been horrid. - especially since there are so many other retailers who sell the exact shoe. I ordered the same shoes for the 3rd time now, but from Kohls this time for only $1 more because Kohl's won't make me wait a week to fix their problem. I have had good experiences in the Famous Footwear store, but don't get there often and find it easier to order online. So if there is a shoe available in the store I will probably consider it, but I will never trust ordering online from them again. I am regretting not looking around for other retailers first. I'm sure if I had ordered these from anywhere else I would either be wearing them right now or would have had the refund I need."

"Horrible experience I will never order again, I ordered on November 29th to receive these two pairs before Christmas.
Then one pair came in but the other didn’t, also I ordered because they had buy one get the other half off.
So after a week of reaching out and no answer they finally replied to call in and I did to get hung up on before even talking, so I went on live chat for a rep to tell me they see the problem and that my order is lost that they are sorry but they can either refund that one or I’d have to order again. Let me tel you not once did they say that if I order again I will receive it before Christmas since it was their mistake when I brought it up he was quick to say “ is there anything else you need “ the whole purpose of me ordering on a. Deal is to get both pairs and your refunding the deal price? Does that make sense to your customers plus lying saying that we’ll get it before Christmas and not taking the time to make it right. Because they just don’t care.
