"I read all the terrible reviews online, but Finish Line had a pair of shoes I wanted for the cheapest price I could find. I ended up calling customer service to ask if my item was on stock. They said yes, and I ordered my shoes online from them (on July 4). Within minutes, I received a confirmation email, and the next day I received a tracking number. Today (July 8) I received my shoes, and I couldn't be happier. "

"Horrible customer service. I received the item quickly but one of the two pairs of shoes I ordered was defective. Customer service said I had to return them to a store and that I could not mail the item back. I went to a store (30 minutes away from my house) and they would not return my money for the defective shoes. My choices were in store credit (I could not find anything) or to reorder the same shoes that were defective. So I reordered the shoes. Their customer service info online or on he receipt did not reveal that this is there "policy". What a joke. I will not ever give them my business again. The nominal savings you get from shopping there just is not worth the hassle."

"Order placed 2/21, checked status on 3/3 after not receiving any email about it, the status was "cancelled" w/out any correspondence between dates, UNACCEPTABLE. I waited on hold to customer service and was told I was 37th in line by their automated system...good grief, I hung up after 7 minutes of waiting. I have never had an online merchant cancel an order w/out being sent an email or other correspondence. Now I have nothing to give my niece."

"I love to shop online. Never EVER in my online shopping life had I ever had such a hassle as when I purchased a gift for a friend of my for a birthday party on February 6th. I purchased my item on January 23, with hopes to get it early for this party. On the site, it said about 3-5 business days to ship. I waited patiently. No problem. After about 7 business days, I began to question my order. I sent in 5 total messages to Customer Service, called twice. No response. AT ALL. "BE HEARD." So much for that. It wasn't until today, 2 days before the party was I informed my order was going to be canceled. Couldn't they have sent me a courtesy email saying, hey we don't have your item in stock any more, days after I order as opposed to 2 weeks later! I am extremely upset and furious. Now I have to find a last minute gift that will be late. I am so embarrassed. If you don't want a hassle and stress... then don't shop here. Simple. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER shop here again. I hope you don't either."

"I ordered a pair of Nikes about a week ago. I looked all over for the pair that I wanted. All the local stores were selling them for $120. I decied to go online to see if I could find them for any cheaper. Finish Line was selling them for $99. Also I found an online coupon and with tax and shipping, I ended up paying only $100. I read all the bad reviews that Finish Line was getting so I called them and made sure my item was it stock before I ordered them. The customer Service was great and told me that they had plenty. I ordered that day and they shipped out my order the next day. I recieved them in the mail 5 days later. I will definetly order from them and again. "

"I ordered some boots online for my wife 2 weeks ahead of time for her birthday. Never shipped, despite me calling them up twice to check on the order, once a week ahead of time, and another a day before my wife's birthday. I even sent an email inquiry from their "order inquiry" website, and it was never returned (even after 2 weeks). If you want to talk to them, you have to call and wait on the line for a LONG time. The worst thing is my wife never got her birthday present. I will never order from these clowns again, and I suggest anyone reading this not as well. 2.5/10 is not a rating you want to work with. Apparently they will NOT tell you if the footwear you are buying is in stock or not.

"Placed an order on 12/10/09 and received confirmation. On 12/16/09 barely more than a week before Christmas they cancelled my order. This was Completely unprofessional and inexcusable. I could not find the item in time for Christmas."

"I ordered a pair of shoes from Finishline.com and my credit card was billed the day I ordered the shoes but then three days later they still had not shipped my item. When I asked them about this they informed me that they do not guarantee their products will ship in any amount of time. Do net ever purchase online from Finishline.com"

"Finish line had a great price on Brooks Beast 8. I ordered a pair for $55. Never saw them. I spent hours talking to customer service (mostly polite people - but ultimately not helpful).
After a week i called to ask about the order - they said it was at UPS -- UPS took another week to look for the shoes. In the mean time Finish line sells the rest of their Brooks Beast in my size and refuses to order me another pair.

"We're refunding your money." they said. I said I have several hours invested in getting these shoes. You advertized these shoes - i didn't ask you to put that price on them. When you foul up, you need to do what it takes to follow through on your word. UPS should give you overnight for free and you should be willing to take a minor loss ($10) to make good your offer. But apparently Finishline.com is NOT a company with that kind of integrity.

"Hello... I just spoke to one of the custom service people (Name: Brittny Extention 5031) on the phone... She was absolutely unprofessional and not helpful at all...When I asked for to speak to surpervisor she told me that its not possible ... then I ask her to find a solution how to solve this problem about my shoes... she was not willing to work with me in any kind of way nor provide me with any kind of compensation or any future discounts towards my future purchases... due to the fact the FinishLine have caused me to loose alot of time in regards or getting my purchase and all this other inconveniece...FinishLine should of never posted the item as available online if they were out of stock to begin with... in other words my wife would of gotten them shoes for me at the store the other day but i told her not to get it since i odered online through FinishLine and was confident that I will be receiving my shoes soon... but not you guys are telling me that shoes are no longer available for me... Well the shoes at the store that my wife was gonna buy it for me are not available anymore aswell... Thank you FinishLine for being such a great company...YEAH RIGHT !!! shame on you guys ... on entire company and its workers and customer service people... If you dont start solving your customers problems soon.. you will be facing some serious charges soon !!!
Bottom line is I am requesting a compensation from Finish Line for the time lost , very unprofessional customer service and all the other inconvenience that you have cause me !!!

"I placed an order for in-store pickup because I knew the item was to be discontinued. The web site said it was available, and it would take about two hours to receive notification that the item is ready to be picked up. After about 6 hours and no message, I went to the store, who had TWO pairs of the sandals I ordered in stock, but had not received any notice of my order. They called customer service who said "We can't do anything; it's processing." It has now been 26 hours since I have ordered. Still "processing." Called to cancel the order, since the sandals look nothing like they are pictured on the web site anyway.

At least the actual store is still efficient... will shop there, but never again online.

"Great service! How I hate shopping with two teenage boys for shoes. Finish Line was great. We shopped for their Nikes at home then ordered. Our shipments were mailed out the next day and we could see from UPS tracking where they were each day. I recommend shopping here. Great prices and beats the mall...."

I ordered a pair of shoes on 12 Jan and finally received them on 21 Jan. The shoes that arrived were mismatched. I called the customer service line and was told that they had located the correct shoe and would NEXT DAY AIR it to me to arrive on 23 Jan. The shoe did not and has not arrived. After more calls, I took the mismatched shoes to the local store on 3 Feb but was told the correct shoe had already shipped out so they could not accept the return. It still has not arrived. I called again tonight (9 Feb) and was told they cannot locate the missing shoe. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

"Ordered a pair of Heelys on Dec. 1 for my daughters Christmas present. Upon opening them at Christmas, we discovered the shoes didn't have any wheels with them. When I called the company on Dec. 26, the rep was apologetic and said it had happened to a number of customers. She promised to have the wheels shipped 2nd day air. We waited a week and a half and they never came. I called again on Monday, Jan. 5 and was told that they hadn't sent them yet but would immediately ship them next day air them to arrive no later than Jan. 7. They gave me a UPS tracking number as well. Unfortunately I told my daughter they would be there by Wednesday. Of course no delivery and I had to deal with my daughters tears. The tracking number they gave me turned out to be invalid as well. When I called on Jan. 8 they said there was nothing they could do, that they had sent the wheels and would not send any more. When I had her check the tracking number she found it was invalid as well, but insisted that the wheels had been sent. I told her UPS won't ship without a tracking number, she seemed puzzled but still refused to re-ship the wheels, if they had ever been shipped in the first place. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she said none were available (right). I told her I wanted a supervisor to call me back. She said she would have one call would but of course I waited all day and never received a phone call. It's a shame they will lose a customer over a $15.00 set of wheels but hopefully enough people will read this and find another place to shop."
