"Ther worst online return system know to online mankind. No documents in the box to return items. Call and they tell you to go to a store..if I wanted to go to a store I would have to begin with! When you say no, you get a list of instructions you need to follow, labeling each item seperately with a different number, then labeling each invoice seperately with different return numbers, then you must call them back and give them the tracking number so you can be credited. Wake-up Finishline, buy something from Bean, Lands End, Tiger Direct, Amazon, etc tec...they make life easy as they should and they get my business. FINISHLINE YOU ARE FINSHED WITH ME."

"With the summer sale, prices were really cheap. Not to mention you're able to find more coupons online. Bought two pairs of shoes. The came in about a week. I waited about 4 days for the second item to ship but it didn't. I called up customer service and asked them what's up. The lady I talked to was awesome and called around to find out what happened to my order. She got it shipped out that day with 1 day shipping. But I would have rather it shipped out on time."
"I made my purchase prior to reading these ratings. I thought the finish line would be a reputable place to buy from, but the reviews on here had me spooked. Especially since I had made TWO purchases from them; the second with a $15 off coupon that came with the order confirmation of the first order. I hoped for the best with the order and here's how it played out. My 2nd order arrived first. It was shipped within two days of the purchase. The first order was shipped after the 1st order had arrived. I received both products in a timely manner, so I can't complain. It seems that the products ship from actual Finish Line stores. My assumption is when you place the order online, it is pushed to all the retailers who then pick up the order from the system, pack it and ship it. This means that they don't have a separate warehousing system for their online purchases which could lend itself to a relatively inaccurate inventory system. I got my order, but I can see how some other people could get shafted by their system on a low stock or discontinued item. If it's a "new model" buy with confidence. If it's an outgoing model that is in short supply, hold your breath and hope for the best.
The prices were excellent, and well below what the same product cost in store. Worth the gamble IMO. Worst case scenario you get your money back if they're sold out."

"Ordered a pair of shoes on 9/27. Sent 2 email inquires as to order status and received nothing in return. After 1 week (10/4) I called customer service and was told that the store manager had no explanation for why the item had not shipped and they would send it next day air. 10/10 I called and was told it was sent UPS ground on 10/9. No explanation. They will "review to determine if shipping charges should be refunded". In all, it took 16 days to get my order. "

"I really cannot understand the bad reviews! Finish line has excellent prices and excellent customer service. I ordered a package on the 17th and it arrived two days later - without any kind of rush delivery added into the order! I was at camp the whole week and when I returned was extremely surprised at how fast the package came, and not to mention satisfied with the product. The tracking number they sent was also helpful even though not really needed as the package came so quickly. I highly recommend this store."
"It seems I had a similar experience with some other reviewers. I entered my address during checkout, but their system used my 2-year old address for shipping and the new one only for billing (I guess it was for "my convenience"). I immediately realized what happened (from the receipt page) and the story could have ended there - with just a badly designed checkout.
I called and was told by a friendly CSR that I had to wait a few hours for the order to register. Later that day (Friday June 23) another friendly CSR told me she would call up the store and correct the address. She went on to tell me that even if she did contact the store and had them note the correct the address, neither changing the address or canceling and re-ordering is guaranteed, and I could make sure with UPS.
Every day I would check the site for a tracking number. Next Wednesday I got a tracking number, but calling to UPS from Wednesday to Friday I was told they only had billing info, the store had not actually shipped the package so they could not help me...
I left for the July 4th extended weekend and when I returned on the morning of July 5th, the shoes were already at the wrong address (where current residents claim they did not receive them - another story). Apparently they were shipped later on that Friday, one week after my original order, still with the wrong address.
Apart from the $75, the shoe I wanted is sold out.
So, the prices are good, but the checkout problems, the friendly but apparently powerless customer service along with slow shipping made this a really frustrating experience."

"I purchased two pairs of shoes from Finish Line last week. I received one pair in two days and the other in a week. The time depended on where the item was shipped from. Shoes were nicely packaged with original box, invoice, and receipt included. "
"Avoid this store at all costs.
First off I made a purchase on August 16th, over $170 of clothes and shoes that eventually started to ship like a week later (slow initially).
So each item seemed to come in a different box at a different time which was not a lot of fun to deal with since I have to drive to an office to pick my stuff up. Following this, by the time September rolled around, I still had not recieved three items from my order.
I emailed them politely, recieved no response, then proceeded with two other polite emails following that over why part of my order says canceled and why they failed to tell me it. Finally a fourth email, following them charging my credit card, got their attention. After I threatened to dispute, they sent me a one line apology email over the lack of inventory.
So then I was charged in full for shirts that were on sale if you bought 5, but three had been canceled. Just lovely.
Following all of this, I called customer service and filed a complaint. I was on the phone for 20 minutes while she typed away what I said and she basically hung up on me afterwards, saying you won't recieve a response.
So great, now I got charged a little too much, didn't get three items I really wanted, experienced the worst customer service I have ever seen, and finally I had to wait forever to get all the items they actually sent. Avoid this store at all costs, no matter what the deal is."
