No Comparison!

"I ordered some SonicWALL licenses from another vendor: it took them 8 days to complete the order...8 days to deliver an email with a license key!
Firewalls.com promised delivery of the license key within 24 hours; I actually got it within 12 hours of purchase!
This is my new site for this kind of shopping!

Fastest vendor tovendor license issue of all time

"We order license renewals from watchguard and sonicwalls and others. Watchguard has always issued our renewals within 3 days or so. We placed an order with firewalls.com and received our license within 24 hours. So we placed another order for renewal and received the license within 12 hours. So our company is sold on our new vendor and appreciate the sales team via phone as well."

"I have bought several Sonicwall firewalls from them over the years. I have always had great service. Ordering is simple. The firewalls arrive quickly. If I every have any configuration questions, they are excellent at getting me answers. Discounts are usually reasonable, especially for upgrades."

Poor Customer Service

"I honestly don't understand all the high ratings for this vendor. My recent first experience with them has been very unfortunate.

I purchased a Sophos XG85 at the end of December 2015. It took a little while to arrive, but I may be spoiled by the speed of Amazon Prime. In the defense of firewalls.com, it appears that it was shipped from another vendor, probably a distributor, but that's of no relevance to me - my transaction was with firewalls.com.

I finally received the device and installed it. When I made the purchase it included a year's subscription to the Sophos TotalProtect threat management updates. However, I did not receive any licensing information in the box. I attempted to contact firewalls.com through their contact form on the site - no response. I called to speak to someone but it went directly to voicemail, which concerned me. I left a message and hoped for the best.

I never received a written or verbal response from firewalls.com (poor service), but I got an email with a license schedule for the device from their distributor. Well, better late than never, I guess. Except it doesn't appear to include the necessary license key and password for me to license the software! Grrrr! An email to the distributor has gone without a reply. Meanwhile my evaluation license on the device is about to run out and my web sites and email will be inaccessible. Grrrrr!

My recommendation for firewalls.com - AVOID!

EDIT: Removed reference to distributor name and site as per Reseller Ratings TOS.

EDIT: Heard from the president of firewalls.com, who apologized and has been extremely helpful. The situation is not yet fully resolved but I'm feeling more confident at the moment and appreciate the customer service. I hope to update with a happy ending shortly.

EDIT: Sorry, but there is no happy ending to this fairy tale. Manufacturer support has failed to correct the situation despite making me jump through several hoops. This has been an epic failure on all fronts. Time to RMA this device.

EDIT 2016-02-15: The manufacturer finally corrected the licensing situation but with entirely too much effort required on both sides. I have revised the rating for Firewalls.com upward to reflect their diligence in attempting to help come to a successful resolution despite the fact that the problem was ultimately not caused by them. They even offered an RMA past their 30 day requirement due to the delays. It's still not a completely satisfied rating since they initially did not respond at all until I posted a negative review on this site, but I do appreciate the effort Firewalls.com made once they got in the game.
