My wife and I ordered a plasma tv from this "site". Three weeks later we checked the status and it said "will ship", we called to get a tracking order and got hung up on. I then emailed them 3 times (no reply) called once ( kept getting transferred..then hung up on). My wife called again a couple of days later to cancel..as soon as she said she wanted to cancel they hung up..have not been able to cantact them since. So i wrote the BBB and also the district attorney. So please do not take the chance with this company or any of its branches. There are many other companies that offer the same products for a hair more, but well worth it.

"I'm just glad that Resseller Rating exists. It makes my comparison shopping searches a lot easier. I think it's a great thing if a merchant is able to get high ratings on your website. "I ordered a Plasma TV online for what I thought was a very good price. The next day, I got an email instructing me to call and verify my order. I've never had any other merchant ask me this and now I know why. After waiting on hold for 10+ minutes, I got a very impolite salesman on the phone and let him know I was calling for "confirmation". He immediately starts trying to sell me other products, which, unlike the TV, were roughly double suggested retail. After telling him I just needed the TV, he informs me that they can't ship it because they can't verify my information!!!!! Why not tell me that up front? I suspect that this store only completes transactions that include their overpriced accessories. After all, most people aren't going to notice that their stand is $150 over retail when buying a $3000 TV. Save yourself some time and skip this store."

"I contacted PriceMad for a Plasma TV because of it's high customer ratings at multiple merchant review sites. I'm now skeptical of some of the one-liner positive reviews of PriceMad. My buying experience with PriceMad was a complete disaster and I could never recommend buying anything from them.

First off the salesman steered me toward buying the 3-year old Pioneer PDP-4330HD. After discovering the outdated Pioneer model, I called and requested the order be cancelled and requested a new model Plasma. He then recommended the Panasonic TH-42PW50U for an additional $300, which I cautiously agreed. Within a few days I checked the status and found that the order was for the older Panasonic TH-42PW25U/P model. I immediately called PriceMad Customer Service and informed them of the problem, and after checking the order, the agent assured me that the order status was incorrect and the new model Panasonic was shipped.

Guess What! When the Plasma TV arrived 9 days later, it was the older Panasonic TH-42PW25U/P model. I again contacted PriceMad to see what they would do about the screw-up, and they said a manager would call me to work out a solution. After talking to the manager, he offered me a $200 refund to keep the older Panasonic unit, and said the older unit cost them more money. The new Panasonic TH-42PW50U that I ordered corrected several deficiencies found in the older model, specifically; lack of 3:2 pulldown circuitry for DVD's recorded from film, and lack of 720p display format. On the positive side, the older Panasonic TH-42PW25U/P unit has better speakers, more input connections and is aesthetically more pleasing. I reluctantly settled for a $250 refund with PriceMad to keep the older unit. Within a few days of settling with PriceMad, I noticed they started discounting the older Panasonic TH-42PW25U/P unit, $125 less than the refund amount that I settled with them for taking the older model.

Can you imagine something like this happening at Sears or Circuit City!! Not in my lifetime. Please be aware this is the risk you take when dealing with shady outfits like PriceMad. In addition to the order screw-up, PriceMad mailed me the wrong (less expensive) Mack extended warranty, which would have voided the warranty. After mailing back the warranty card and several phone calls to PriceMad, I finally got the correct warranty. In addition, PriceMad took over 2 weeks to refund my credit card for the $250 refund I negotiated. Do you think it would have taken that long if I owed them money. I think not!!

Take my advice and stick with a reputable brick and mortar retailer when shopping for an expensive Plasma TV. AVOID PRICEMAD

"ORDERED A TH-50PX50U ONLINE FROM THIS COMPANY. I WAS SENT A CONFIRMATION WITH THE PRICE PLUS TAX AND SHIPPING (TOTALING 3539.00 PLUS 249.00). ON THE EMAIL IT WAS STATED THAT I WAS ONE STEP AWAY FROM COMPLETING MY ORDER, DUE TO HIGH FRAUD INCIDENTS I NEEDED TO CALL THEM AND CONFIRM MY ORDER. AT THAT POINT, THE TELEVISION CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON BROUGHT UP MY ORDER AND ASKED IF I NEEDED A WALL MOUNT? A WARRANTY? HE HAD OTHER PLASMAS THAT WERE BETTER. WHEN I SAID NO TO ALL HIS QUESTIONS, HE THEN TOLD ME THE PRICE I WAS QUOTED IN THE EMAIL DID NOT INCLUDE INSURANCE AND THAT WOULD BE ABOUT ANOTHER 300.00 TO COMPLETE MY ORDER. I AM NOT SURE HOW THIS STORE COULD HAVE GOT SO MANY GOOD REVIEWS?? THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON I TRIED TO MAKE MY PURCHASE WITH THEM.(BIZRATE AND RESELLERRATTINGS). I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM THEM IN THE FUTURE!!!"

"I checked prices and reviews and decided to take a chance. I ordered over the internet 8 pm and had email with tracking info in my mail box the next morning. Item was well packaged, was as advertised and arrived on time. USA warranty, no grey stuff. Very pleased with this company and just placed a second order.
