Do Not Buy

"Their routers are garbage and their service is cryptic and useless at best. Their hardware needs daily if not more resetting. You CONSTANTLY have to reinstall their "flashrouter app" into the router because it loses it all the time. How about the fact that I might as well be using my regular router because it is FASTER and the flashrouter puts me in my real location instead of another country where I have it set. These guys "claim" to be all that but it was a pathetic purchase that I wish I never made!!!"

Avoid Flashrouters

"I canceled a $675.00 order for Netgear 9000 and three year subscription Nordvpn.
Thank God I accidentally discovered their zero customer service immediately following the order, which led me to cancel.

Reviewers mostly are young professionals. Each should be held accountable for lack of integrity.

Zero Customer Service

"After spending $ 500 buying and receiving a new router, I needed to make small adjustments following their detailed instructions. Something went wrong and I had to return it (just a few days after receiving it). It has been with them for weeks, without any information whatsoever other than: "we will let you know when we ship it". All efforts to get some sort of time frame have failed because THEY NEVER RESPOND with information, but simply some sort of "form letter" that is clear evidence that they have never read the countless e-mails I have sent them. I have now indicated to them that I will have to take legal action to recover my router - my instructions were: simply reset to factory conditions and return it to me. Even that instruction has not been verified. No clue what these folks are doing and I URGE anyone interested in buying a Router to BUY FROM SOMEONE LOCAL and not someone, whom you cannot phone or seemingly contact in any meaningful manner."

Worst piece of tech gear I've ever owned

"Don't, just don't. I've had nothing but trouble with the Linksys WRT 32x I purchased from them. I'm on my second one. During set up be prepared to reboot the thing constantly. The DD-WRT admin console hangs constantly and the only way to get back to it is to reboot. After owning my first one for a few months I could only get into the Admin console if I rebooted the router. If it sat for more than a few minutes the admin console would become unusable. I spent 5 hours working with customer support and they finally threw in the towel and agreed to send a replacement. Well, the replacement is crap too. Still had too reboot the thing constantly during configuration. Configuring DHCP reservations so you can disable VPN for certain devices is a mess. My replacement doesn't have USB enabled so I'm going to have to figure that out again. I have some USB printers and usb drives I want to reach over the network. I'm not sure if the problems are FlashRouter's problems, DD-WRT problems or Linksys problems. But it shouldn't really matter. Reaching Tech support is as easy as opening a ticket thru their website and waiting for some one to call you. Nope. Just NOPE. "

Numero Uno in Sales and After Service of Pre-Configured VPN Wireless Routers

"I purchased my Flash Router over a year ago and it has worked perfectly since installation. But, Flashrouters.com not only provide a quality product, there technical customer service is some of the best that I have come across. I contacted them on various occasions since my purchase, in relation to VPN setting guidance, and for impartial advice on providers. On each occasion, they responded promptly with uncomplicated and sound advice. For anyone who values keeping there online identity secure/safe, I would not hesitate in recommending the purchase of a ready-to-go VPN router from Flashrouter.com. There promise of free technical customer service for the life of your Flash router is also not a myth, like other similar service providers. "

"This router will not disappoint - it's fast - it's powerful, it's a beast. The range is excellent and with dd-wrt you will have options for configuring VPN, guest networking, radio configuration, etc that will not disappoint. I've even been able to add custom scripts that allow me to monitor and track usage of my bandwidth across computers in my house and with guests when they're visiting.

Tom, Jake and the rest of the Flashrouters team are outstanding, too. I've had multiple conversations with them and they're great guys. Their support is worth every penny.

Earlier versions of the firmware that had issues have been turned resolved and the most recent updates have proven to be rock solid with the R8000.

Worth every penny.

"Excellent experience at Flashrouters.com. Received professional and respectful help during my purchase as well as later on when I required their technical support. Other businesses would do well to emulate Flashrouters.com's commitment to customer service. It really does make a difference in my purchasing decisions and I'm sure it does in the decisions of other consumers.

I'd like to point out that one of their technical support gurus, Tom, went above and beyond in dealing with my technical issue. He was professional and was patient with me, being that I have just enough tech savviness to cause chaos. We utilized TeamViewer for him to provide real-time assistance on my desktop and it was flawless. Excellent job.

Flashrouters.com has my business in the future due to the overall experience from placing my order to receiving technical assistance.

"After months of no problems with IP Vanish on my R7000 (which performs very well!), there was suddenly a location issue through the VPN set into the Flashrouter. It turned out not to be a quick fix... Tom and Jake of Flashrouter Support worked tireless with me for weeks via E-mail, then via Teamviewer to set my router correctly, even though the problem may be on the IP Vanish side. They are the best Support Department I have ever encountered. I am low level tech savvy; they patiently guided me through steps and procedures. Thanks team! "

"What a great experience. From the first phone call to ask if I could get the router within a few days, I've been so impressed. I requested that they test the router thoroughly as I was bringing it back to Mexico with me and had no way to test it before I left the US. The router arrived on time, fully configured with my Hide My Ass and it works great. Since then I have asked a couple of questions of the support staff and they always replied quickly with not just the answer but with tips and additional information I would find useful. I have already recommended FlashRouters to two of my friends here in Mexico. Great company, great service, great people. "

"These guys are awesome and it's been such a pleasant experience! I purchased the HideMyAss Asus RT-AC87U AC2400 DD-WRT FlashRouter and it was delivered within a few days. I needed help with the setup instructions and contacted them. An support assistant named Tom contacted me shortly and walked me through the setup. He was very knowledgeable and within a few minutes I was set up and in business!! I will certainly recommend flashrouters - great product, great technical service."

"I got exactly what I wanted and then it was followed up with great customer service, what more could I possiblye ask for? One question I asked was answered within five minutes of my sending an email. The product does what it claims, it was already set up for me to plug and play and the customer service is ridiculously fast and on point. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a VPN enable router."

"My experience with Flashrouters.com was excellent!

I recently purchased a new router and came across the flashrouters.com website while searching for instructions for flashing my router to DD-WRT. I was pleasantly surprised to find the service offering from flashrouters for VPN setup which included remotely flashing my router @ $75.

The tech assigned to me was Tom - his attention to detail and willingness to stay after-hours to finish upgrade is what impressed me the most. I was able to watch Tom complete the upgrade and was involved every step of the way - a great learning experience for me since I don't flash routers very often!

I will be using flashrouters.com again in the future and give them my highest rating!
