"Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my horrible experience with this company.
First off, I want to say I know for a fact they do not manufacture their paper towels. I received a shipment of paper towels and bathroom tissue and the paper towels were wrapped in plastic with the logo “Boardwalk”. This logo belongs to a company called Essendant Co., which is a national wholesale distributor of office supplies and they are based in Illinois. This brand of paper towels can be found at Walmart, Amazon, Sam’s Club, etc. As for their bathroom tissue, it was wrapped in their (FPC) logo, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just repackaged it from another company with their brand paper. I didn’t feel like expending the energy to find out whether my hypothesis was right or wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if Freedom Paper Company got their products from Essendant Co.
As for the quality - crap. The bathroom tissue is unpleasant to use and rough, and the paper towel quality is mediocre.
Now as for my actual experience with the company? Crap as well. Long story short, I informed them I wanted a refund, which they initially agreed to. After that conversation, I never heard back from them despite my numerous attempts at contacting them again, and they went ahead and took my money anyway and shipped the items I no longer wanted or needed (that could’ve very well gone to someone another family that needed them). I will NEVER purchase from this company again.

"It's been over a month from today's date since I've ordered from this company. I've sent two emails and tried to call several times and still no respone. I'll be calling the Better Business Bureau and the Maryland Attorney General. You should never ever run a business as slack as these jokers have and I don't care if there is a PLANdemic or not don't buy from this company. "I want to say horrible customer service but, well there is no customer service. After placing an order on March 23rd, I received no tracking number and no response from the emails I sent requesting an update on my order. Here it is May 5th and still no response, at this point I have to count it as a loss and let everyone know how this company is a SCAM. No options to get a refund. I have heard nothing from them. They do not respond to email request. Oh, and they still have not delivered any products to me that I ordered. Order only if you want to support the SCAM they have going."

"I placed my order on 3/29 and here it is 5/9 and I have yet to receive an update on my order. When I placed my order in March the website said 7-10 business days to ship, if that has changed to almost a month and a half I should've been informed and given the option to cancel. They have not responded to any of my emails requesting an update on my order or my eventual request to cancel the order completely. This is not about customers not having patience, this is extremely poor communication and customer service. This place is very shady. I filed a Paypal claim and will NEVER do business with them again! "
"I’m sure a lot of people complained due to the fact of lack of communication . We have to look at it from their side. It’s a huge pandemic going on. Shortages all over for essential supplies.. I’m sure they were bombarded with orders of which they were not accustomed and overwhelmed. They are doing what they can..,send them a text and if possible an email and be patient. It’s the same everywhere. Lack of tissue and toilet paper. I would order again especially once everything calms down. They will get to everyone as they stated on their web site. I’m sure things are not done purposely. They value their I’m sure because they built their foundation on it. Anger gets us nowhere.. we all ordered at a time when everything was crazy in life "
"Like everyone else on this site, I ordered TP on March 23. Prior to ordering I checked for complaints on this company online and only found 2 from 2012, and they were resolved. I figured it would be OK to order from them. I made a mistake turning my money to them. I made copies of their web pages showing their agreed ship time on the day I ordered. The continued to change their website all through April by extending their order processing time. From 1-4 days, 8-9 days, 14 days, then 4-6 weeks. And they never wrote their customers to advise them of problems.
I have emailed them 3 times per week to request an approx ship date, a shipping number, or a refund. Additionally, I sent them a paper letter. After advising that I wanted something from them, I also told them I would report them to the BBB, the Maryland Attorney General and request a refund via PayPal. Finally they replied to my email 6 weeks later and told me that I should I text all my order details to Ms. Muhammad of Customer Service. WHAT?!!! Why should I do that, they have all details!
I was told Ms. Muhammad would reply that day. I wrote her, took her 2 days to reply and still would not give me a ship date. She only said she would ship ASAP. Yesterday I received an email from another customer svc employee that said "we're having a bad time." Who cares. "Do you still want your order?" I replied, NO, I would not trust you to process a refund or ship mdse. Today I filed a claim for refund with Paypal. Only my opinion, but it seems they never had the TP available and took the money to operate on. They created an influx of cash using the COVID-19 shortages. They never showed the TP was sold out or shut down their website. I think they are very dishonest."
"The delay is caused by the corona virus. We must be patient & this is a Black Business and perhaps they are being targeted on purpose. "
"If I could give them 0 stars I still think that’s too generous. This company is literally THE WORST. I placed an order March 18th, at which time it said the shipping time was 3-5 days. After a week later I didn’t receive a shipping number I contacted them. They said due to COVID it would be 14 days. That’s fine. It’s not been a month and a half and I STILL HAVE NOTHING. I’ve directly contacted this company 5 times since and they’ve ignored my emails. Their website says no refunds and only store credit. But WHY in the h%#l would I want to buy AGAIN when the customer service was so trash before. I have reported them to the BBB and according to the BBB their rating is a D!!!! They’re horrible. Do not buy from them. "
"Ordered products on March 19 2020. To this date never received my product, howere they keep advertising they have products. Ive seen numerous emails no response. My next step is going through paypal for my full refund. I am almost tempted to contact the federal government since we are in a pandemic and this company promised a service and basicall6 scamming people out of thier money."
"I ordered on March 27th and here it is April 16th and I still haven’t received anything. Their phone customer service is non existent and they do not answer emails. I have not received any tracking # or notification. They will not be getting my business again even if I do get my product. I’m glad I didn’t order more from them than what I did."

I have called their useless number and have emailed them mutiple times over the past few weeks and have not received a response. I give more slack to black owned but this is ridiculous. Never again."
"I ordered several items from them hoping to support black business. After 1 week of not receiving a shipping confirmation I emailed them asking for status update - no response. After another 2 weeks I emailed them again requesting order cancelation and refund - no response. I submitted a claim through PayPal requesting a refund and several days later I received a shipment tracking number from Freedom Paper. I don't trust them and wouldn't recommend them. "
