"According to an August 11, 2011 news report posted on the NBC affiliate television station in Savannah, the owner of Furniturebuzz (based in Savannah) told the BBB that his business was closed and was in the process of filing for bankruptcy. Also the original website for Furniturebuzz is currently "inactive." Finally in the story posted on the television station's website, an official with the BBB was interviewed, and he said the Beter Business Bureau had received approximately 200 complaints about Furniturebuzz and its business practices in the preceding months."

"STOP... don't use this website to order anything! Back in July 2011, I ordered a Powell parsons chair from them. Two days later I received an email that said the chair was on backorder. I tried tracking the order but to no avail. When I checked my credit card, Furniture Buzz had charged my account, even though the item was backordered. After two months, I tried calling the company about my order and discovered the phone number was disconnected. When I tried researching the address, it did not exist. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!"
"Furniture Buzz is out of business. They took the money and ran. They did not ship furniture for their customers or pay their suppliers. The Georgia attorney general is on the case. If you bought anything from them you need to get in touch with the authorities before any money available after bankruptcy is gone. We are a supplier and our collections company said that they skipped. Good Luck!"

The American justice system has failed us as these clowns should have been arrested months ago and sent to jail for fraudulent internet story and grand theft.
They are worst than bank robbers and I have turned them into the DA, IC3 (Internet Crime Division) and BBB. If they were here in the Northeast I would pay these clowns a visit myself and have NJ's finest arrest them and put some of my top tax dollars to good use for once.
Hopefully they all die a slow and painful deathh from cancer, AIDS, or some other drawn out and excruciating deathh before they go to helll...

"I am ecstatic that this company is out of business. I have used internet furniture companies over and over and have never had an issue with service or delivery...until this company. The only easy part of the process was placing the original order and having my credit card charged the full amount of the order (this didn't seem odd until I thought about other furniture companies and how they operate).
After placing my order, I immediately received a receipt in email. that was literally the last contact I had had with anyone in the company for 3 months (expected wait for the delivery was 4 weeks). I called to obtain an order status, and I was continuously put on hold until I was finally hung up on. After repeated calls I finally got a rude representative that informed me she could do nothing but send me an email update from the manufacturer.
Fast forward 1 more month and I contacted the manufacturer myself. Not surprisingly, I was informed that they never received my order, my invoice meant nothing to them, and that they've had multiple ongoing issues with Furniturebuzz. I immediately contacted my attorney and began the process of disputing the charge on my credit card.
The dispute is final and the company is out of business. The takeaway from the story is do your homework first for online furniture companies. If you see bad reviews, listen to them. I will never buy furniture again without first reading other people's comments related to the service they've received. Had I read this site about furniturebuzz I would have never ordered from them."

"Yes - It's a scam alright. I ordered a Lane cedar chest for my daughter's grad from college gift. Should have suspected since the price was so much lower than others online. Furniturebuzz the only one that had the cherry wood. Ordered 7/18/11, I have been checking the so called tracking link to see if order had shipped. Nothing until today when I clicked the link and the words "Furniturebuzz is out of business". My stomach was in a knot. Out of business and out $475. Thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Owner that couldn't treat a business as a business and treat other human beings with honestly and respect. We are all having a hard time in this economic climit. If you business can't survive, I am sorry, I really am, but don't take others down with you. Do the right thing and give our money back. When I read my confirmation and the first two paragraphs were about receiving damaged items and what to do in the event of... should have been a HUGH clue, who puts that in the first two paragraphs."

"If only I would have looked for reviews BEFORE ordering. I purched Catnapper Softie Reclining ChaiseSKU #: PV1489. I emailed a week later to see if it had been shipped yet. Finally they sent me a email saying sorry the company does not make it anymore. Why was it on their site when it's not made anymore! I kept calling my credit card to see if they had returned my $539.10 (price was lower than that on site) but nothing. I wrote Furniture Buzz again and said my money wasn't returned yet and to send me a email conforming the refund. No replies to emails after that. I then called them and the girl just said ok and did nothing. I told her I called my credit card company and told her they had 15 days to refund the money. And the 15 days was about up actually. And very odd after talking to her I finally got a email saying the "refund process had been started." Odd, only after my calls and emails was it finally started! Credit card company said they could actually have refuned my money within on day! As instructed by the credit card company I called back on 15 day and the card company took the amount off my card. FurnitureBuzz did not give my my money back and it's now been over one month. I know that I will never get it back as scammers. It's just to bad that most people wont think of looking at reviews until after being robbed. I was lucky, I knew I was going to order the chaise so had sent $500.00 in advance and they were really nice to me and the problem I was having. But something needs to be done to get this place off here to quit scamming people."
