"My experience with GameOutfitter was very good. I placed my order and received my tracking number by email within 48 hours.
UPS delivered the package to me within two business days. The box arrived well-packaged and the products were in great shape.
I had a question for customer service and they had a reply to me within four hours.
This is my second order through GameOutfitter.com and I plan to do business with them in the future."
"I ordered 6 games on Dec 9th. I received three. I didnt even realize it at first and there was not mention of it in the shipping. When I realized it I emailed them and was told they would ship them. They still have not and when I get the same response - they are shipping them.
It appears their strategy is to get you out past the 60 day credit card challenge period. I would strongly recommend not using this site. "
"I ordered 11 items from the online store, all were listed as in stock. I received a confirmation and shipment notice 2 business days later. The package was delivered 2 days after that. Of the 11 items ordered, only 5 were in the package. There was no packing slip or invoice included in the box.
The next day I used the online contact form to inform them of the 6 missing items and also my displeasure at having been charged for the full amount. I received a prompt response from Vicky apologizing and indicating they would ship the missing items soon.
Days have passed and nothing more has happened. I have since contacted them again asking for clarification on the status of the missing items. If I don't hear anything within the next day or so I will try contacting them once again seeking to cancel the remaining items and failing that I will likely be contacting both my credit card company and the BBB because this level of customer service is completely unacceptable.
I can understand missing 1 or even 2 items from an order, but missing over half the items with no invoice to check to see what is going on? That is not good business.
Edit: Just an update, after repeated emails saying the missing items would be shipped failed to work I finally asked that the order be cancelled and money refunded. I did not get an immediate response so I waited a couple more days and then sent another request for cancellation & refund. I finally received a response to my initial request that same day saying the money for the missing items would be refunded plus the cost of shipping. Then I received another email from another customer representative responding to my second cancellation request with ANOTHER form letter saying they would check on why my order hadn't been shipped???? This place really, really needs to get its act together. Bottom-line, the money was indeed refunded according to my credit-card company and I am done with ever doing business with gameoutfitter.com. It's just not worth the hassle of a pittance in savings over some other online store."
"GameOutfitter.com failed to keep an agreement for shipping and is unresponsive to buyers' communications.
I asked for and paid for expedited shipping; UPS 3-Day Select. I noted in the "comments box" that I needed the order processed quickly to enable my son to receive the games prior to returning to his training program. (The program doesn't allow items to be shipped directly from a place of business.)
The order was shipped UPS "Ground"; it wasn't processed/ shipped until 14 FEB, 8 full days after the order was placed (@ 1625 on 06 FEB).
The order arrived complete but entirely out of the delivery parameters I had specified and paid for. Since then none of the email or phone calls to GameOutfitter.com have been returned. I will be taking this up with my credit card company and also the Better Business Bureau in Duluth, MN."
"I would have to say I am satisfied with my purchase from Game Outfitter, especially at the price I paid. I'm not ecstatic, but I'm satisfied.
I ordered "Starcraft: The Board Game" on February 4, 2008. After a week of waiting, I was caught up in my work and forget entirely about my purchase. One Month later I had still not received what I ordered (Which is why I'm not overly excited about this company).
Curious about this, I finally sent an E-mail to the company asking them what's up on March 6th (Yesterday). I provided my order number in the E-mail, and the automated response said I would get a reply within 24 to 48 hours excluding weekends.
Approximately 12 hours later, I recieved an E-mail saying my shipment was on the way and a UPS tracking number was given. 4 Hours later I received another E-mail saying that the matter would be checked into and a tracking number would be sent (Heh. Do the work first then send an E-mail... fair enough). That was pretty good response time in my book, and the order is now set to arrive on Monday.
While this is a long way off from the 5 to 8 business days they said it would arrive, my E-mail had a response rather quickly. They definitely gained some points there."
"Terrible service. Ordered from them before last Xmas and paid extra to get it shipped in time for the holiday for a present. They failed to include all the items I ordered and told me they would overnight the rest of my order and the next day told me I was out of luck. I have emailed them 3 times since then and called once and over 35 days, I have not received ONE reply from them.
Contacted the Better Business Bureau and I am the 9th person to list a complaint with them about their service. I let them know the product was an Xmas present, yet they chose to ignore me and keep my money...still waiting on the complaint to be resolved.
Obviously this is incredibly poor service. They responded to my first two inquiries (including one reply form Keith who is higher up in the company) but chose to leave me high and dry after that."
"On December 22, 2007, we purchased two games from gameoutfitter.com. Their PP button wasn't functioning properly, so we received an e-mail from "Steve" that said to click the "Pay by Check/Money Order" button and go to PayPal and "Send Money" straight to their address. We immediately did that and then received this e-mail.

Dear Janis,
Thank you for ordering from GameOutfitter.com. A copy of your invoice is attached.
Your order is being processed and is expected to ship from our warehouse within 1 to 3 business days unless an expedited shipping method was selected. Delivery may take up to 5 additional business days depending on your location and your chosen shipping method. An email will be sent to you with the UPS tracking number after shipment.
Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance. We appreciate your business!
Kind regards,
GameOutfitter.com

After two weeks, no e-mail had arrived (as promised) including a tracking number, nor had the games arrived. We e-mailed again and were told that they hadn't received the payment. Once I sent a copy of my PP receipt, they said "we'll get to it as soon as possible". That was five days ago. The next thing we get is an e-mail saying that it will take an additional 5-7 business days to process through their "billing department". We wish to conclude our one-sided business with these people and receive a full refund, so we have filed with PayPal for a chargeback. Bad news. Unfortunately, we didn't find resellerratings.com until two weeks had passed from the date of our payment to them. Late is better than never, though. Thanks for being here.
Janis"
"Same experience apparently as everyone else here. We ordered a board game on 6 Dec. and received an electronically authored confirmation e-mail that our order was received. After not receiving a tracking number or any other correspondence we wrote to Game Outfitter on 19 Dec. We also registered with their site on the 19th and their wasn't a record of our order. Game Outfitter did respond on 23 Dec to our 19 Dec e-mail saying that the order was processed but not properly inputted into their system...their "technical" staff was able to recover the order though. They had not charged our credit card. We had ordered the game for Christmas so obviously it wasn't going to make it. We sent a note back canceling the order and on the 26th they said it was canceled. We ordered Christmas presents from approximately 20 on-line providers and this was the only company which failed us. Do yourself a favor...take your money somewhere else that actually knows what the words "customer service" mean!"
"I placed an order for 4 games on 11/24 and requested standard ground shipping since it was 1 month before Christmas Eve. Then I spent the next 3 weeks asking why my order had not shipped, when would it ship, etc. 24-48 hours for CS response...more like 5-7 days! I was sending an email every other day! I finally demanded they ship everything overnight at their expense - they didn't. They shipped 2 games on 12/19 via ground. They delivered on 12/24. The best part they charged me for all 4 games & shipping! The box contained no packing list, no info on when the other 2 games would ship. I emailed immediately on the 24th asking all this and still no response yet! Next time, I'll read the company's reviews before ordering!"
"Since their website says "Orders usually ship in 1-3 days", I figured I was fine to order a Christmas present from them 12/15. Christmas Eve when I hadn't seen the package yet, I logged in to check my status. The items had not even been shipped.
Unfortunately this is when I came across the negative reviews on the company. Based on the feedback I decided to cancel my order.
After reading much feedback on other companies I placed an order Christmas day with trollandtoad.com . It shipped today and will be here before New Year's.
I am VERY thankful I knew not to wait on GameOutfitter. If I hadn't read the feedback here I would still be waiting for a shipping notice instead of having my games on the way. "
"It is now the 21st and the order is still not shipped. I sent an e-mail inquiring on the status 2 days ago, and still do not have a reply. I've attempted to call game outfitters.com but to no end. I found the home line, through it the cell phone, but no one picks up and I cannot leave voice mails (probably full). I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. After a few more issues (they told me they had shipped the order at a certain date, but the given shipping date was earlier than the order placement date which seemed incredulous), I finally got my money back although they did ship the item anyway and I had to do an RTS.
Anyway, as long as you're in no rush, it's probably a good place to order from. Just don't order around Xmas time. It won't make it on time.
For those of you who are having trouble, here is some information which was a little hard to obtain and I hope it helps you. Hopefully, it turns out on google =)

"I ordered three games from this store 3 weeks ago. I never received an email with tracking information and, to date, have not received the order in the mail.
I emailed the company 1 1/2 weeks after I placed the order requesting tracking information. I still did not receive an email except for their automated response that they would get back to me in 1-2 business days. I waited 3 business days and still did not receive an email. I emailed them again.
This time I did receive a response a day later. The Customer Service Rep said that "It appears that your order has shipped, unfortunately I was unable to find your tracking number. We will do what we can to see if we can find one for you, but you should be receiving the package very soon." I emailed the rep back asking for the ship date. I never received a response other than their automated response. I emailed them again 4 business days later. I still have not received a response.
This was supposed to be a Christmas present and I thought that ordering it in the end of November would ensure that I would received the package in time. It is now 1 week before Christmas and I am very nervous about not receiving the order in time, esp. because I just checked my credit card statement and the purchase does not show up on it.
So it appears like my order was never filled (even though I have the confirmation) and I will not be receiving it from them. I decided to cancel my order and find it someplace else.
I will never order from this company again, even if they are cheaper than others. This hassle has not been worth the few dollars I could have saved.
I would not recommend ordering from this store. If you do, I would recommend registering with their system before purchasing. I did not do this but it looks like if I had, I would have been able to view my orders and shipping information through their site."
"Our order was twice held (once without warning) for items that were not in stock. These items had been listed as in stock on the website. After 2 weeks, I cancelled the order and ordered elsewhere. gameoutfitter was slow to respond to emails. I do not recommend them if you need your order in any specific timeframe."
"They said they'd ship my order within 1 to 3 business days and email me the tracking number. It's now been 6 business daysand I still haven't heard a peep out of them, nor did they respond to an email inquiry I made concerning my order.
The phone number another reviewer listed below reaches a business, but not GameOutfitter.Com.
I will be canceling my order today, and will notify my credit card company to not honor any charges from GameOutfitter. Worst online company I have ever done business with."
"Hmmmm... A lot of people have recently been unhappy with this retailer, but their overall score is good. I decided to take a chance on something that was too good a deal to pass up.
I was not disappointed. The product arrived in a reasonable time via UPS Ground (it took them a week to ship and two days to reach me after that). I only have two qualms. The first that they didn't put ANY padding in the box (not even some wadded up paper) and so the box had a small ding in the corner. The second was that they didn't send me an e-mail at all. Not an order confirmation or shipping details, so I was in the dark about it all (a little disconcerting), but they came through, and it was a great deal... "
