"Yes, I left for vacay with my pergola's canopy shredded by Santa Ana winds.
My new canopy has been put on and looks great and I did it myself. It turns out that it was NOT the one I ordered, i.e., grommets to go over Costco's pergola's twisty things (the one with the rust colored canopy). HOWEVER, that was fine as the twisty things had rusted out so I removed them. I then altered the top piece to be a bit smaller and sewed it to the bottom piece. All is fine. I anticipate it to last at least as long as the original, so you probably won't hear from me for about 5 years. THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!"
