However, the products continued to show up online as if they were still able to sell them days later. Why continue to have them shown on the website if they are no longer in stock? Original comment: I have deleted most of this since the issue was resolved. The short version: Yamaha speaker ordered on 12/31/14; 7 days to receive turned into 7 days to ship which turned into "No ETA" 21 days later. At that point I was worried I had been 'taken' and wrote a negative review. The extraordinary response is detailed here:
Within 30 minutes of posting a negative review i received a phone call from the owner, Jeff Garrett, who spent 10 or 15 minutes apologizing and trying to explain there had been some sort of mixup at HIS supplier. I honestly was not convinced.
But before the day was out Mr. Garrett had:
* Spoken with his supplier; who wrote a letter to explain how and why they had messed up.
* Refunded my purchase price in full (w/o being asked to)
* Placed an order with another supplier for next day delivery to him (I'm guessing at a significantly higher price than his original suppliers price)
The next day:
* Mr. Garrett wrote to say the speaker had arrived at his warehouse and had been shipped -- EVEN BEFORE I PAID ! (remember, the initial payment had been refunded)
* In fact mailed it to me
I now have the speaker in hand and am very, very impressed - startled, even - at how Mr. Gattett has resolved this problem.
So --- I cannot promise anyone all will go well with Garrett Smart Electronics, or that if there is a problem they will see a similar response ... but there is no better predictor than the past, and THE PAST HERE, WITH GARRETT SMART ELECTRONICS, IS ABOUT AS TOP NOTCH AS I HAVE EVERY IN MY LIFE RECEIVED.
And, NO - I am in no way related to this company; just an online customer. An impressed customer who started out thinking this was really bad."

"Ordered a wired motion detector for my security system almost a month ago and no sign of it and no hint of info online about it's shipping date. I emailed and received a forwarded email from someone who I assume works at Honeywell that they looked around and found one and that it would be shipped the next day...no specifics. "Sara" sent the forwarded email. I wrote back to ask when I would be seeing it arrive and all I get is a rude, terse all CAPS reply that never answered the direct question. Finally after a few rude replies I got, again in all CAPS that they don't have the tracking number yet. Now that should have been the first reply to my first email, RIGHT? Very RUDE to customers and very unresponsive. They JUST NOW started looking for my detector? Almost a month later. NEVER AGAIN will I patronize them!
Update, NOW I'm getting harrassing emails telling me how rude I am for expecting this company to deal with it's customers in a civil manner. I mean I've run a business and I've never treated MY customers like this and then tell them it is THEIR fault. Unbelievable of so many levels!
Update 2: STILL getting emails from these people blaming ME. Delusional, delusions of persecution to be honest. I am SO SORRY I ever came in contact with this place. They must have a sign up saying "The Customer is ALWAYS WRONG." Avoid, Avoid, Avoid!"
"Very good prices and authentic products. We hired Garrett years ago in Seattle on our audio video install. We was an electrical contractor for security systems, whole house sound systems. He turned that original successful business into retail online, and we have been purchasing from him for the last 8 years or so. This is a mom and pop shop. So give them a break. Your Patience is worth the reward."

"I Ordered 3 Klipsch R-5650-W II matching speakers for front Left, Right, and Center channels.
13 days later I received a poorly packaged box (Little to no padding material) with only two of the three speakers haphazardly thrown in a large box for shipping.
Order placed on Tuesday, January 28 - Not shipped until Monday, February 3, 2014.
They do NOT answer phone calls for customer service inquiries, a prerecorded message indicates they are too busy. They left me hanging for 6 days - finally UPS sent me a message indicating my address was tagged for a shipment.
They do NOT proactively communicate incomplete orders. I only found out my home theater project would be further delayed when i opened the box on Monday, February 10, 2014.
Communicating with "****@****" has required 4 emails so far in an effort to receive a refund of the incomplete order. My original email included the original sales invoice yet they are unable to determine what to refund! I suspect I will need to contact my credit card company and stop payment to get their attention.
In summary, Unless you have an abundance of time and patience you may be better served to place your order with a reputable merchant - Garrett's Smart Electronics has proven to be a dumb decision for me and they haven't even offered an apology."
"I ordered the 10-piece CIA cookware set. Nothing showed up after 8 days, emailed Rep and he said PO was not cut on this. He asked if I like to still order or cancel. I said to continue the order but asked if he would discount the shipping, he agreed. $15 was credited to my CC. Cookware set came within 7 days in CIA original packaging. All pieces in the set accounted for and in new condition. Only had one lid with 2 inch scratch and a pot with a 1/4 inch scratch/devit (maybe to damaged during shipment). Despite the logistic error I would use the merchant again since the price was unbeatable and the customer service was gracious to give a discount."

Reading some fo the review below I ordered with apprehension, the pricing was too compelling to turn down, and figured I'd be covered by a Visa payment if anything went wrong.
My order was processed and delivered without issue, and the initial questions I had (by mail) were answered well and quickly.
I don't usually write reviews, but given the service I had compared to some of the bad review below I thought I'd add to this - I hope anything negative below was an unfortunate exception.
