"Sales person did great over phone but was not where we purchased item, which was the Doylestown store. They however did not offer warranty, and did not advise about getting rebate. Delivery was just ok. A little intimidating with their appearance as well as not speaking English as a first language. I did like the link that let me know when they were almost here. It would have been nice to have a picture with the name of the people delivering. The only reason we purchased from Gerhard’s was that they were the lowest price to Lowe’s, Home Depot, Queen and Bill Vandergrift. I am hoping our after purchase care is as good as the purchase care. After all that is what brings us back."
"I hope there is negative star I can choose. I went to their Ardmore store. This store is a liar. I ordered six appliances from them for two address. The first trip delivery guy didn't install anything for me by using ridiculous excuses. They said they can't move anything above knees. I had to take off a cabinet by myself. Thank god my contractor was there that day. When I placed the order I mentioned I have an extra washer need them to haul away, they said they can do it if the truck has space. The delivery guy said they don't have space. I said if I give you $20 tips will you have space? They took it IMM. The second trip was even worse. The delivery guy said can't pass the stairs, have to take off the back door of my house. But they can't do it. I have to find someone do it by myself. And they will come back to install. I said please take the washer and dryer back as I can't use them now and I don't want to pay again for your next visit. The delivery guy said NO, we are not going to charge you again as today's job is unfinished. That day was really hot and I feel bad to let them move heavy stuff in and out. So I agreed they can leave the washer and dryer in my sunroom. I called a friend who has tools. He came over and took off the door easily. I called Gerhard IMM try to get them back. But all 8 calls were connected to their voice mail. That was 6:00pm, their store is open until 8:00pm. I can only ask my friend to put the door back. The next day I called them, guess what? They insisted there has to be additional charge for installation. I said your delivery guy PROMISED it will free! The office said they are wrong, there has to be charge. Come on, this is cheating! And, they said they will not touch my door, and they can not come until five days later. So, I have to get someone come over on the day they are coming, take off the door, wait for them, then put back the door after they leave. This is ridiculous! I said then I have to return because I can’t meet your requirement. They said then we will charge stocking fee. Unbelievable! Now I have the washer and dryer sitting in my sunroom and mountain of cloth waiting to be washed. I seriously don’t understand how can such as a store survive the business. They are rude and liar. Can’t imagine if any of six appliances goes wrong, what a terrifying experience is waiting for me! Stay away from them!"
"Purchased complete kitchen set May 25th and was told by Matthew Ashley I would receive shipment around the 1st of June. Said he would follow up contacting me with shipping information. A shipping person (Trisha) emailed PDF of Purchase Order within minutes later but no shipping data. Immediately following the purchase received a weird email about the Owner Gerhard would be out of country on a Christian emergency services in another country and to contact the following email address for customer support! The email address was blanked out! Tried their online chat and got a reply to lead email address since they were busy. Have made repeated phone calls and sent emails. Not sure what to do at this point! "
"After purchasing a new refrigerator from Gerhard’s we were awaiting delivery on a day with snow in the morning. The delivery was scheduled for between 11-3. We emptied the refrigerator and freezer and shoveled the driveway to ensure a safe path for the delivery. At 1:45 PM we received a call that they would not be able to deliver due to poor road conditions. There was just an inch of snow and the streets were plowed. Due to the holiday they would not be able to deliver until the following Tuesday or Wednesday. I called the store and spoke to our sales person and was told that safety comes first which I said that I agreed with 100%. My issue was with the lack of customer courtesy and service. I asked why they didn’t just call earlier in the day when it was clear that delivery was going to be an issue? The answer was a bit odd something like “well they didn’t know”. They are unable to give us a window for delivery and now I will need to take a day off to accept delivery or wait even longer for a weekend delivery. The sales person was not rude more like arrogant. Very disappointed with the customer service and especially the delivery company they use. The way the Gerhard’s lauds the service and delivery company I expected better. They were unable to tell us when they would deliver. The sales person told me that I will receive a call from the scheduler the day before with a time however since that will be a holiday I am not going to hold my breath. A catastrophe NO inconvenience YES and a total lack of customer service. Buyer beware!"
"Bought a wall oven April 13 2017 online , Ian immediately called back and said Whirlpool was not in stock. Whirlpool hand not updated their stock list. He offered right away to return money right way. He assured me it would be in stock on the 20th. It was !!! Ian great guy to deal with. "
"This review is in response to a washer/dryer purchase which was handled incorrectly starting from sales man and ending at owners.
Product was bought on March 29 with delivery and installation. I disassembled and removed old units for expected delivery date of April 7.
Problem #1 - Salesman put delivery date on FEBRUARY 7 (two month prior) instead of April 7. Had to call in and rescedule delivery on March 10.
Problem #2 - No delivery was made on March 10.
Problem #3 - Delivery occured on March 12. Units wasn't in original package and crew didnt install them. Was told that someone will contact me.
Problem #4 - No one ever contacted me. On March 13 had to call numerous times to Delivery manager, Store Manager, different sales people. NO resolution. Delivery manager was asking for more money to come out and install units.
Problem #5 - On March 14 just more messages with promises to resolve an issue with no follow ups.
Experience has been less than acceptable "

I was a little nervous ordering appliances on line, prices were so great I took the chance . Appliances were delivered to our beach house in Maryland within a week. My contractor installed them and I'm loving all my new appliances !!!!!!

I feel this Esther is what I could afford. And although it was not the most expensive I still love the washer and am so grateful to finally get a washer after 2 years without. I would like Gerard's not to comment on the washer I bought since it is the one I could afford. "
"I had purchased an item online on 6/10, I called to check on the delivery status today 6/24 and was told that the unit was not available and they tried to sell me a more expensive one. No one ever called me to let me know that it was not available and I have not received a refund. I checked their website and it still shows they have 2 units available??"

" I just called to find out delivery on an order for two washing machines placed on May 22. I had called a few days after the order was placed, requested delivery the week of June 8 and was told that I would get an email from A&MT trucking with details. When I called today I was informed that the order was cancelled and Gerhard's had called and left me a message to that effect. I advised there was no such message on my machine and at that point the person in the internet department disconnected and left me with a dial tone.
All in all it has been a very bad experience."
