"These Guys are awesome! Got a great deal and buying was easy! They have a unique virtual system to get a good idea how the frames will fit you. Shipping was extremely fast too. Recently my Dog ate my 1st pair. Called to order a new pair. Customer Service rep was extremely nice and helpful and told me I could get 50% off 1 time accidental breakage replacement. I was expecting to pay full price! Rep told me my prescription was expired. I explained my eye doctor was really great and they may be ok with approving it. Rep called for me while I was on hold and they gave the go ahead. Will order from them again!"
"I LOVE that you can try on glasses for free in home before purchases. The frames are priced competitively; I couldn't find the ones I bought for cheaper anyplace else.
I got prescription lenses in my glasses, but the centering of the lenses were off, this might not have been Glasses.com's fault though, my doctor did not write my PD on my prescription so I used their print out to measure it and that may have been wrong. I ended up returning the glasses and purchasing the frames alone and taking them to a local place to get the lenses made.
I used the online chat whenever I needed to talk to anyone and it was super simple, everyone was very nice and super helpful. They even upgraded my frames to next day shipping when I ordered the frames without the lenses. Even on my previous order though, shipping was quick and I received my glasses before the estimated date.
Before you purchase check online for coupon codes, when I bought mine there were plenty of coupons!"
"I had read the reviews here and was concerned that I might have problems, but gave them a shot.
The free try-on is a fantastic feature, the four frames that I selected arrived in a few days and gave me the opportunity to find the pair I wanted. Returning the sample frames was equally effortless.
Having the frames picked out, I went online and placed an order for progressive bifocals with high index lenses, and photochromic tint. I paid the extra $12.95 for expedited (1 week) service.
The order was placed online on Tuesday August 13 and my glasses arrived via UPS overnight on Tuesday August 20. Right on time.
The glasses fit well, look great, and work (prescription and progressive bifocal is right).
I did have questions on two occasions during my selection and ordering, and received immediate and extremely courteous help via the online chat feature.
I have absolutely NO complaints, and the price was about half of what I'd have paid elsewhere.
I have never ordered from Glasses.com before, or bought glasses online before, but I'll be back."
"Their customer service are nothing but apologists! They are great at appoligizing, but little else. Ordered my glasses 5/29 expedited, and still waiting on 6/25. If you need your glasses I suggest looking elsewhere. My mistake was I didn't read their reviews before ordering. Never again."
"Eh... Bought them on May 2nd, 2013 and until yesterday, they were still in the process of "RX Verification." For 10 days... What a joke... I had to contact them and they expedited the process for free so I should get them within a week... I am being patient. I am 22 and my vision has dropped dramatically over the past year or so and I had to finally get my eyes checked. Do you know how difficult it is to not have glasses in a timely manner and not really be able to read a college exam? Outrageous... The idea is great but they need MAJOR improvement."
"Its scary that there's people on the road with glasses that are not fitted correctly andmmeasured with proper aide of Optical professionals. We are at an age of wonderful technology. But really now. Being in the field 1998 onwards,I know that so many have good and bad first, second, third etc time experienced. Do you all know that people who have no idea bow to make or read a pair of glasses simply rely on automated machinery to fabricate prescription eyewear. Your eyes adapt like physical therapy, and get used to induced prism. Incorrect powers, and it takes years to correct the damage these places can inflict. I'm all about a bargain...really,but most places nowadays offer packages and special promotions. I work in a Private Practice, and make glasses for $81 and up,depending on RX. yes...an entire pair for that..so there's some things that are worth money, your eyes are with you for your whole life when u begin to lose sight,it may be too late, your eye muscles will pay, your muscle and brain work together, things should really be monitored properly."
"Glasses.com mishandled my order from the start, they keep on promising things that they could not do nor handle. I lost my glasses so I placed an order for a pair of glasses last April 17, 2013, sent them the image of my prescription via text and email just to be sure that they get it, they texted me back that all is good and that they will begin processing it. after a few days I checked my account online on their website and found that they had put the wrong prescriptions in so I called them up, the rep I spoke to said that they will fix it and expedite it so that I would still get my glasses in the 2 weeks time-frame that they had promised. After 2 days I checked again and saw the glasses were marked shipped but the invoice said cancelled, I called for clarification and the rep I spoke to said that they cancelled the order but they did not notify me, I did not get a phone call, text nor an email. After a few chats and phone calls they offered to expedite it and promised me that I would get it in a week but when I called yesterday they said that the lab (in San Diego, Ca) had just released it and that they are waiting for it in Utah to get checked before they can ship it out to me, Carol (the rep) said that they will overnight it and that I would get it on Saturday, she also called back and said that they will an issue a refund of $205 because of all my troubles and aggravation. When I got an email tonight at 10:02pm that said one of the glasses was shipped, I checked the tracking which said the glasses will get to me on Monday not saturday, I called glasses.com and they said that the shipment is considered "overnight" because the weekend doesn't count. I have been very patient with them but I have had enough. I have told them from the start that I need the glasses before May 3 because I will be going away on a business trip and I need my glasses. They had promised that they will expedite it and would not mess my order up the second time around. I will never order from them again, I would rather spend the extra money and get it done right rather than deal with these people that doesn't care about their costumers.

"Amazing customer service. Dr prescribed me bifocals. I ordered through Glasses.com (saving over 100.00 from a local store) and received the glasses very quickly. I loved the frames but HATED the bifocals. I was calling them my "drunk glasses". They made me fell all kinds of crazy. I called them today to tell them that I didn't like them and that I wanted to send them back and have single vision lenses made. I thought that I would have to send mine back in, wait for them to receive them, wait for them to make new ones, and then wait for them to ship them to me. WRONG!! They told me to ship them back to them with the shipping label they would e-mail and that they would start processing the new order right away.
I just got a e-mail that says the package will be delivered tomorrow! I just called today! I have not even gotten the return label e-mail yet but the new glasses will be here tomorrow! Now that is what I call service!!"
"Ordered a pair of prescription Oakley's at a decent price. Paid $12.99 extra for expedited shipping. (To be received in one week.) It has been nine days since my order was placed and they can't even tell me when it will ship, what the status is or why it was delayed. I requested a refund of the expedited shipping which they did and promised the glasses would ship yesterday. Nope. Contacted them again and they said they would get back with me. Not impressed.
Update: Talked to them once more and they promised they would ship overnight for delivery today. Contacted them yesterday to make sure, and they gave me another excuse and that they hadn't received them. I cancelled my order. One of the worst companies I've dealt with in a long time. (Customer service is helpful, but their inability to provide any information or to actually ship items is unacceptable.)"
"I was looking for contact lenses and came across this site via 1800contacts. They don't have the largest selection of frames, but I was looking for Oakleys and they do happen to have 20+ different options. I found some that I liked (and tried on in a store) and ordered them. They shipped within 4 business days, and came in a glasses.com box, fairly well protected. The glasses were in good shape and came in a fantastic Oakley case.
Fast forward two weeks - the glasses are persistently uncomfortable, pinching my ears, hurting my nose, etc. I contacted customer service and they paid for return shipping and I got a different pair of Oakleys. After two months, they're still great, and I would not hesitate to use and recommend glasses.com to anyone out there. Judging from my experiences, they really do want to get things right and they want you to be happy with your glasses.
As for the quality of the frames, they are very good, though I did see an instance of over-torquing one of the screws on the glasses that I returned. Not a huge deal at that moment, but I could see a possible issue with removing and re-tightening the screws on subsequent lenses. Just something to look out for. The lenses are polycarbonate and there are a few options regarding anti-glare that you can pay extra for. I found that the normal anti-glare is comparable to the Crizal coating I had on my previous lenses, though they are maybe slightly more difficult to get completely smudge-free clean.
Overall, glasses.com is recommended."
"I purchased some Oakley prescription glasses from them. Excellent service, outstanding lens quality! Fast shipping - even with free shipping I got them in a week!
They were able to price match another internet offer and they provided much better service than expected.
They have a nice tool to allow you to upload your face and you can try on glasses, but I found it was best to go to a local store and find a pair I liked -- then I shopped online.
Saved lots of money compared to local stores! No TAX, free shipping, no hassles! They even called me to check in on me a week after my purchase."
