"This is the fourth pair of glasses that were sent to me. The lenses are HORRIBLE. Every time I get them the lenses end up with smeared white spots. The last pair they sent me they put a protective coating on. Promise me no more white spots. Guess what white spots. I use the black cloths to clean that they supply in the case. Never ever will I order from them again!!!! Never!!!!!"
"Cheap glasses that had to be returned that were defective after 3 weeks and still haven't received replacement pair after almost 2 months. Wish I'd have looked at the reviews before purchasing. Will never use glasses.com again!!!!"
"I had an amazing first-time experience with this company. I had tried on a paid of Coach glasses at Lenscrafters that I loved but even with their 50% off lens sale going on, they were just wayyy too expensive for me. I found the same frames a little bit cheaper at Glasses.com and decided to give them a try since their basic lenses are free, including UV protection and scratch resistance. They also had a promotion offering their anti-glare coating for free. I didn't have a paper prescription, so they contacted my doctor directly for that (which only took 1 day). I did have to measure my own pupillary distance since the doctor didn't provide that, but that was a cinch and they gave very good directions on how to do it. 2-day shipping was free, AND they updgraded my lenses to polycarbonate out of nowhere for free too!!! They included a handful of lens cloths and also a Coach case. I ended up paying over $200 less than I would have at Lenscrafters! I am so incredibly pleased with this company, I can't say enough good things! I will absolutely be using glasses.com in the future, and recommending to all my four-eyed friends! :)"
"Frustrated with the service from glasses.com, I ordered on Monday and requested to have expedited shipping so I could have them by the weekend. The representative said if I used 2-3 day shipping I would have them Thursday. My glasses still hadn't shipped as of Wed morning so I knew there was no way I would have them Thursday and most likely not Friday either. I called them at 5 AM on my way to work as they are open 24/7 and talked to someone, explained my concerns and she assured me she would email to have the delivery speed upgraded and would have someone call me back. At 9:45 I got an email that my glasses had shipped. It didn’t say what speed or the estimated delivery so I messaged someone who told me they shipped and there was nothing they could do, they basically disconnected our same time before I could respond so I called and the gal I spoke with assured me they were sent out next day air and that I would have them Thursday. I checked the tracking number all day to get confirmation. At 8:30 I finally got an update from DHL that my estimated delivery is set for March 1st...that’s SIX day from the day of shipping. Keep in mind that I paid for 2-3 business days that is 4 business days from the date of shipment so even though I paid for 2-3 day and was told they shipped next day it is going to take FOUR business days. And there was nothing that glasses.com would do to get me my glasses sooner. They did refund me 15% of my purchase price and the $9.99 I paid for 2-3 day shipping but that does not have my glasses here. Hopefully I like my glasses or they will be sent back."
"Ordered a pair of RX Oakley sunglasses a month ago and haven't heard squat. Do not buy from glasses.com unless that is your only option."
"I (almost) never right reviews. But I had such a great experience with my first purchase at glasses.com recently I was just had to write a review. Like many, I was initially reluctant to conduct a purchase as personal as glasses with an online provider. My concerns ranged from style (how can I be sure the glasses will look good on me?) and function (how can I be sure the prescription will be right) to quality, processing time and of course price. Well I have to say glasses.com hit it out of the park on all fronts. Not only do they have an unbelievable selection of frames, but after you’ve done your research, picked the right frame and place your order they even offer a risk-free at-home try-on program. They also nailed my prescription. The lenses (I went with just the basics) are of excellent quality and probably the clearest I have owned in more than 25 years as a glasses wearer. The price was also unbeatable and even the packaging the glasses arrived in was smart and well presented. But the most surprising aspect of my purchase was the processing time. I ordered my glasses early on Saturday morning and I received them via UPS Next Day Air Saver on Monday afternoon at no extra cost. Glasses in two days! That’s unbelievable. If you’ve ever purchased glasses through a retail brick and mortar outlet you know it can take at least a week if not two to get your glasses. To sum up it was a great experience and I would highly recommend glasses.com. To those of you who might have concerns like I did rest easy and give them a try. If I could award more than five stars I would. Glasses.com was exceptional!"
"I was extremely skeptical about ordering glasses online. They bait you in with the "free lenses" and "free in-home try-on". Well I decided that I'd save some money and order instead of getting them from my Dr.'s office. NEVER AGAIN. When I hear of free in home try on, I assumed i'd be able to pay a deposit and choose a few frames to TRY ON to see if I even like how they fit my face, compare, contrast, then make my choice and have them customized. After contacting glasses.com and explaining this to the "manager" he assured me that I would be able to place two separate orders, both of which would com already customized and I would just pay for the ones that I wanted and return the ones that I didn't. Well...4 days later I get an email that something is wrong with my order, I gave them a call and "of course" the sales associate and even her manager claim that they can't authorize that? So pretty much now I have to wait 5-7 business days for them to ship out the first pair for me to try on, and i guess take a picture to see how it looks on me, then send those back if I want to TRY ON another pair? Wait 5-7 business days for them to get pair 1 back then another 5-7 business days for them to send pair two out to me. And what if I decided that I like pair #1 better than pair #2? Yep you guessed it, I have to wait 5-7 more business days for them to get those back in the mail and then ANOTHER 5-7 for them to ship pair #1 back to me. In total ill be waiting for about a month just to OWN ONE PAIR OF GLASSES. This is such a huge hassle compared to trying on AS MANY FRAMES AS YOU WANT in the doctors office and then waiting for them to add the frames, not to mention glasses.com requires that you authorize your credit card before the try on, so its not like you can run off with the glasses or anything like that so why be so stingy with the options? These are people's vision your dealing with, its clear that they are just in it for the money. Not convenient what so ever! Needless to say this will be my last time shopping with them and everyone else that I referred to them before hand has been notified of this crappy company. Spend the extra $$ and get more personalized and better service. BEWARE. "
"I am pleased with the transaction. I purchased progressive bifocals. They took a little longer than expected but the quality is good and the price better than I have been paying. I will buy my next pair from them."
"I was skeptical of ordering online so I used the order by phone process. I bought 3 pair of glasses. The first pair for my daughter came quickly...I paid extra for the 2 day shipping. I wanted some Ernest Hemingway frames. Although they had advertised them, they were out of stock. Ok, I was flexible and ordered one pair with clear lenses for driving at night and choose Ray Ban frames. I also ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses with Ray Ban frames. So, my driving glass arrive but not the sunglasses. I call them and now they explain that the sunglasses take 2 weeks to make. Funny, they didn't tell me that when I ordered them. So finally my sunglasses arrive and....they sent the wrong color lenses. I called thinking that they would value my business and provide me some kind of compensation. They offered to send a return mailing label and a refund. In the mean time I would be without glasses. Sorry folks but you really let me down. You see, there are many online companies providing the same products. Service or lack there of can make a big difference. The way to build business is to let your customers know how valuable they are. Glasses.com failed."
"Great experience shopping with glasses.com. They had my glasses done quickly, I paid for 2-day expidited shipping and literally had my glasses in my hand 2 days after I ordered. They came extremely well packaged, double boxed in the cutest packaging as well as the glasses case itself. Will most def. be shopping with them in the future "
"Excellent service! I was a bit skeptical about ordering eyeglasses online, but the local stores all take about 2 weeks to get glasses in and I needed glasses quicker, so I decided to give it a try. When I ordered I had forgotten to include information and they emailed me immediately. After receiving the order, I asked for an invoice to submit a claim and they again responded very quickly and friendly. I was also amazed that the glasses fit perfectly without any need for adjustments. This was one of the best and quickest online purchasing experiences. I will order all my glasses from them in the future!"
"I ordered a pair of Oakley prescription glasses with hi-index Transition lenses from Glasses.com. The entire process, including email communications was flawless. I paid for expedited shipping and my new glasses were delivered to my door 4 days after I had placed my order! I could not be happier with the glasses and the price I paid."
"Not one to write online reviews but I thought it would be best to give a word of warning to anyone thinking about ordering off glasses.com. Everything about their customer service is very friendly, quick shipping, etc. BUT, if you happen to not like your glasses and file a return, you NEED to stay on them about the refund. Bookmark your return tracking and call them the day they receive it. Verify that the return was processed and ask them to send you an email stating such. THEN, call back in the next day or two to verifiy AGAIN that the refund was processed. DO NOT just assume they will process it. I asked if it is automatically done or manually initiated and was told it was manual. The first customer service rep I talked to stated that my refund had been processed. When it didn't show up in my account the next week, I called back and even though they had record of my prior call, they had no record of a refund being issued. This is poor management or it is done on purpose for many various reasons. I'm now waiting to see if this second customer service rep is telling me the truth. You should never have to hover over a company as big as this one for a refund that they state is so easy to complete. Unfortunately, I would never purchase from them again. Depending on how this refund process continues will determine to what lengths I go to to deter anyone else from ordering from them."
"Great customer service, they verify a couple things and offer the best service around. I had two issues with my glasses of two months. The first pair was delivered but the vision was poorer than my older glasses, they gave me some tips on how to troubleshoot the issue. Found out, they had made the lenses with the prescription higher than my pupils were located ( or something like this). They sent out the new pair, a return box, and were on top of updating me daily. The box came overnight. Unbelievable. Now two months later, I have a permanent grease mark on both lenses. After I attempted to clean them over and over...I realized something is wrong. I contacted them and within 24 hours of email chat, the new pair are on their way. The acknowledged that it may have been a product defect, basically. Fine. I don't care because they are handling it. I am pleased. I don't care if they make mistakes because they handle it quickly and in a friendly manner."
"Would never shop here again. The process is easy, I'll give them that but they lost my package, lied about, tried to send me another pair without my knowledge, it was delayed, then when I finally opened the box today... The glasses were the wrong RX and the even worse...these were not even the frames I ordered. THIS COMPANY WILL FAIL YOU on the back end. "
