"My old phone was sold very quickly and the whole process of sending it in and waiting for the check was really easy and streamlined. I'd definitely recommend it. "
"I sold my older iPad and it was fast and easy. I set it to direct deposit the money into my checking. "
"I'd happily use the service again."
"The process of selling my phone on Glydr was sooo easy. Provide info about your phone, they list it and send you everything you need. "
"Working with glyde was so easy and painless. Wouldn't go anywhere else to sell my electronics..."
"Worked as advertised. I would use it again."
"My use of the Glyde site was very easy and the emails they sent were helpful."
"Learned an expensive lesson. Model is not ";as advertised" (marked a different "carrier") also arrived with non-functional sim slot and broken charging port. Will not charge or hold a charge. Kind of makes me madder than I already am at Koreans."
"Yes, Glyde suggested I write a review, but I would have done it anyway. Wow, this is an amazing service, and who knew? Once you take care of the tech details—making sure your phone is wiped clean, removing the data card (Go to YouTube to see how to do that in about 5 seconds), and canceling your service, Glyde makes the rest amazingly easy. They send you a box with a postage paid shipping label that goes direct to whoever bought your phone, and you just drop it in the mail. So incredibly easy! When the buyer receives the phone, they have 72 hours to accept it, and then Glyde deposits the money in an online account, which you can easily transfer to your bank or receive by check. There was only one minor glitch when the website said my phone's ID number was wrong (an obvious error, since I'd bought it at a Sprint store), but an email to customer service resolved this right away. Bottom line: A great way to easily sell your phone or tablet. (Check out the site, as they sell other equipment, too.) "
"I've been a user of Glyde's service since they started offering it to the public. I've clocked dozens of both purchases and sales of used games, without any difficulty, for years.
Until 12/13/16. I attempted to purchase a used Wii U game. The order appeared to complete normally through Glyde (received confirmation email/receipt). However, a few minutes later, I received a second email saying my card had been declined. Which was odd, as I had used that card the same day with a different retailer with nary an issue.
So, I added a different card to my profile, and attempted the purchase again. Same thing - confirmation, then decline emails in quick succession. I verified I'd entered my card info correctly, and tried one last time. Deja vu all over again.
I emailed Glyde's support to see if I could find out what was going on their end (after contacting my bank to ensure there were no issues they could note on my card - there weren't). Their support was polite, but decidedly unhelpful.
Classic case of a business apparently not wanting to take my money. I'm disappointed in you Glyde - this level of unconcern for your long-time customers is unacceptable."
"I shipped my LG G4 (freshly refurbished) in the Glyde provided box and USPS shipping label. USPS lost the package and it's somehow my fault? No compensation for the phone and they even threatened to charge me for the shipping/box! If the liability is going to be on the seller, they should at least provide the option for more reliable shipping. Why even go through a 3rd party and pay a large commission fee if I keep all of the risk?"
"I've only used the trusty ol' Gazelle to sell my used iPhones in the past, so I was a little hesitant to use Glyde when their quoted sale price was ~$40 more than Gazelle. Glyde has a good system set up for sellers though, and they walk you through every step of the process. The whole process takes about a week longer than Gazelle and the shipping box Glyde sends you seems like it won't protect from scratches very well, but I received the full amount I was originally quoted in the end and am a happy customer.
UPDATE:: full payment from Glyde posted in my bank account just two days after the buyer received my phone. Good stuff, Glyde."
"What a headache! I was told about this site for used electronics. My boys wanted ipads for their birthdays, and we wanted to find a good deal, so we watched glyde.com for a few weeks and made a couple purchases. Waited a couple weeks and had some luck with one of the orders, but it still took a good two weeks to receive it. With the second order, after two weeks, it was cancelled because the "seller never sent it after receiving the packaging materials." I felt terrible when I had to break it to my boys that they were going to eventually get their ipads, but that they wouldn't get here on time.
So here we are six months later, I thought I had learned my lesson and started looking two months before Christmas to find a good deal on some ipods.....wish I would have learned my lesson the first time.... I was told my orders that I made would be to me by the end of the week on Thanksgiving week. Well since it was Thanksgiving week, I told myself they probably wouldn't be here and to give it at least until the following Tuesday. Well, instead the following Monday I received an email stating that the seller didn't send it and that they were cancelling my order. I told them, okay, and that I would even give my second purchase some extra time to see if it would come through. Well here we are another week out, and I STILL have not heard anything about that order. There have been no updates and I have sent two emails hoping to get an update of some kind, whether it is a cancellation or ANYTHING. And in my panic and desperation, after the first ipod cancelled, we saw another ipod for sale (which there haven't even been any available since the middle of November), and I hastily purchased it. I fell for the trap AGAIN thinking that this can't possibly go bad AGAIN.
In the end, I have asked Glyde to go ahead and cancel all of my orders and I will not be purchasing anything from them in the future. And, SURPRISE, I have not received any kind of response. Their website says it will take at least 48 hours to get a response and to not send multiple emails, but I'm sorry, when there hasn't even been a response to my first email I sent a WEEK ago, then I'm going to send another email, especially when there isn't even a phone number to contact them. What kind of business runs off of strictly emails?!!!!
NEEDLESS to say, I will not be purchasing or selling anything on this site again, and I DON'T recommend that anyone else does either."
"I was very displeased with Glyde and how they scammed me out of my iPhone. I owned an iPhone 6 that had a cracked screen. Glyde appraised it at $102.00 and I accepted the offer. I clearly described my phone as a cracked screen, but everything was else was operable. My wife used it for 3 weeks after it was cracked before getting the new iPhone 7s.
I shipped the phone in and they responded a week later that the LCD screen was damaged. I bit the bullet and accepted the lesser value of $67.00. I assumed the damaged could have happened by the drop. I withdrew the money and believed the transaction was resolved, although I received less than originally planned.
Wrong!
A week later, they emailed me and asked for another reappraisal because the phone is "bent and the camera is inoperable. When it left my possession, it was operating great with a cracked screen. They reappraised the phone at $22.00. I have already withdrew the money and the transaction was closed.
Keep in mind I purchased the phone for $650.00 and they are wanting to give me $22.00 for it. This company is a scam and I would never recommend this to anyone else. I cannot believe how Glyde would take advantage of their customers by low-balling a previous offer each week. Run now and sell to competitors or at your local Best Buy. "
"Does have longer timeframes than ebay but definitely a good site."
