"Our experience was funtastic from the time we arrived in Venice, aboard the cruise ship, touring the islands of Croatia, Montenegro, Santorini, Burano, Torcello, and Rome. We were teamed with groups from others areas that were like family.
We shared our experiences and discussed our families and shared family pictures. We also shared previous excursions with Go Ahead Tours. We enjoyed the historic sites and sightseeing sites, but we wished we could have had more time to tour on our own. We had a blast and looking forward to our next excursion in 2021."
"It was a great adventure daily. Our tour guide made the trip the great experience it was. He made sure we were all satisfied, educated, and added trips to the itinerary that he was passionate about and wanted us to enjoy as well. "
"I began using Go Ahead Tours in the 70's in taking students to Mexico. Everything went well, but after two tours I stopped taking students abroad because I didn't have any adult chaperons to help me. Since I retired, I have done 2 Tours with Go Ahead. Go Ahead Tours is a great company to be a tourist."
"EF Go Ahead Tours is a very good tour company and I have had positive interactions with them over 9 different trips. However, this trip, Highlights of Northern Europe, has some built in problems.
First, the trip starts in the wonderful city of Amsterdam. But to get to the real focus of the trip for most of the travellers on this tour, that is Scandinavia, there were too many long, boring days of travel. It took two days of long bus travel through rather boring countryside to get to Copenhagen. Then there was a long day of travel, although only a one hour flight, to get to Stockholm. For half our group this, sadly, was the end point of their tour. So for them there were three long, boring days of travel in a nine day tour. For those of us who went on to Norway, the extension to Bergen was by far the highlight of the tour."
"Being my first tour experience Go Ahead met or exceeded all my expectations. Our tour guide Roberto as well as all the local guides were excellent. The lodging and meals were excellent. The transportation was comfortable and timely. I have and will continue to recommend Go Ahead to all who are interested in taking a tour."
"Personally I liked our tour guide, Silvana. However calling what we had a tour is just not the case. It was a walk around through towns and souvenir shops."
"We did Italy with friends and it was wonderful so we were hesitant to give control over to a tour company. We were worried about not seeing everything we wanted to see and being with people that we didn’t enjoy. But Go ahead changed our minds, we saw more than we could’ve ever seen on our own with Go ahead taking care of the details of transportation and tickets. And we met some great friends along the way. Our tour director Juergen was from the area so he was able to give great a history along the way but also knew the best places to shop and eat. Best part, luggage in your room when you get to the hotel! Miss might be when your on your own you get to interact with locals more but that’s just the nature of being with a group. Definitely will travel with Go Ahead again ❤️❤️❤️ "
"A lot more active than most Go Ahead Tours But well worth the effort. Our guide was excellent. We hiked into the Dolomites where the trails were not bad and the view was fantastic and we hiked from one town in Cinque Terre to another and the trail was more difficult but amazing views and great experience one of our hotels was disappointing but the others were good "
"Was a great tour made up for the last one we were on with go ahead. We are trying another in May"
"From the sheep swept fields to the great misty Atlantic surf pounding the island with the fresh sweet air of the lush flora and fauna, on the winding roads, to so many beautiful sights we were skillfully driven by Billie, a great driver, and wit! Mansel, our very knowledgeable tour guide, regaled us with tales of history, culture, and through music, the poetry of Yeats and other Greats, interspersed with narratives about the places we visited. Despite having caught a cold along with some others, he kept the tour on schedule while accommodating our requests as well in a timely manner and giving us tips and options for free time. I'd recommend having your Euros ready before you hit the road for the shops; dress for the weather with a lightweight wind/waterproof jacket and good hiking boots, but be prepared to shed them for glorious sunny warm days as well. And be sure to have some chats with the locals who are more concerned with being genial and kind than on time as we learned at some local bus stops on our own extension as we waited past the scheduled arrivals so allow time to be late! I'd definitely recommend this trip!"
"This trip was a once in a lifetime experience. Walking on a glacier was such a thrill.
Our Tour Director, Frank, had some of the best one-liners I have ever heard. He also prepared an itinerary and slipped it under our door every evening with an inspirational quote which was quite nice. He knew the area and took care of every detail. Our hotels were all in or very near the towns so we had only a short walk to the town center when we had free time or dinner on our own. We had absolutely no worries. The included breakfasts were more than you could ask for and all of the included dinners were superb. We covered a lot of ground in our 10 days. I can't say enough about the Canadian Rockies and Banff, Alberta Canada. Glacier National Park is astounding. The 2 hr. float trip down the Snake River through the Grand Tetons was so relaxing and absolutely beautiful. The early September travel dates were perfect, weather-wise. Frank timed it so we arrived at Yellowstone 10 minutes before Old Faithful went off which was just perfect. The calderons and mud pits are so different from anything you will ever see. The trip was well worth it. We had fun and made memories with new friends. "
"Great tour guide
Meals were some of the worse I have experienced on any of my tours
Walk in the forest was more like a dangerous hike with several of our tour falling
Airline to Croatia was the worse last seats in the plane, however the flights home were definitely an improvement
Looking forward to next tour

"What a trip! I was concerned when the first thing that happened was the Nazca lines excursion was cancelled as only 4 of us had signed up. Not to worry, they set us up with another tour and we got a sand dune addition (and they are incredible). Everything was wonderful. Leo was so attentive. We were an older group and he was always there to assist if the footing was bad. He gave great recommendations on free time things to do and where to eat. He shared stories of his life in Peru which gave extra meaning to the places we saw. Everyone should go on this trip with Leo. "
"Patrick Long was the greatest. He was full of helpful suggestions and was great with the history of Paris. He taught how to use the Mentor which was a super way to get around. He took us to Sacrê-Coeur the back way through the streets of Montmartre. I saw so much more of Paris then I thought I would because of him. He a very very nice gentleman. "
"The guide was excellent and the sites were amazing."
