"Portugal was new territory for us. We were very favorably surprised by the beauty and diversity of the country. Rugged Atlantic coastline to the serene river waters of our river cruise. The food was fantastic and the hotel selection was way above our expectations--- fortresses and palaces in a quantity to satisfy anyone's desires. Blue and white porcelain tiled story walls provided a unique way of presenting Portugal's history and culture. Our tour director was a hoot providing laughs along with baked goodies and other treats that were typical Portuguese fare. All in all, a wonderful trip and great memories."

"The trip to the Greek Isles was delightful. Around every corner was awe-inspiring landscapes and overwhelming history. Meeting new friends to share this experience with is always one of the highlights of any Go Ahead Tour. Our Tour Director, Raquel, was super organized, fun, helpful and very knowledgeable of the country. An in home traditional meal with a local hostess in Athens was something we will never forget. This trip is fast paced, but every minute was enjoyed and we will treasure the memories, new friends and experiences all our lives. Go Ahead can't be beat!"

"Very, very enjoyable. The guide and naturalist were amazing! The staff on board ship were accommodating and helpful. Delicious food, wait staff and chefs were top shelf. Obvious seeing the wildlife and landscapes were the the reason for traveling to this location and they did not disappoint. I mean this was terrific and amazing just lovely. My naturalist was smart and made the descriptions of the flora and fauna perfect.
I wish we had more time. always felt rushed, I know schedule is important, but allowing more time for shopping visiting Quito and the surrounding area would have been great."
"Had a great time and will do GoAhead again on another adventure. They took care of everything from lodging in fine hotels, dining, and transportation in luxury buses. Many local tours are included with several optional adventures to choose or pass. They keep you busy every day, get up early and get moving. Seeing the Swiss and Austrian Alps was the best for us. Walking along the very top ridge was awesome. Lots of Castles, Palaces, and Museums. A bit too many Palaces & Museums for me but you can opt out if you wish. (See one fabulous ball room with marble, ornate gold decor, & extravagant Cristal chandlers, you've seen them all). The Neuschwanstein Castle that was the inspiration for the Disney Castle is a terrific sight to see. But the tour inside was a let down; lots of steps to get up to the tour floor to see four dark rooms with old furniture. I am the type that would prefer free run of the castle, there has to be over 500 rooms, its huge. Overall a great experience. "

"Wow! Our trip was wonderful. The food was amazing, the tours excellent, and the views were spectacular. Oktoberfest was so much fun, Germany was so beautiful , Switzerland breathtaking, and Austria’s Salzburg and Vienna just so pretty. We highly recommend this trip that we will always hold near and dear to our hearts. Only disappointment was that we had to handle our bags much of this trip, something we never had to do on any tour."

"We had such a great time exploring Italy this fall! From signing up with the Go Ahead office, to saying a sad goodbye to our Tour Director in Rome, we could not have asked for a better experience from start to finish. Go Ahead makes travel easy and seamless.
We enjoyed the history, architecture, art, and of course the people, wine and pasta. All of the details were attended to while we were on tour. The hotels were centrally located, which gave us the opportunity to explore on our free time knowing we were not too far away from our home away from home. The optional excursions were so very well planned out and added another dimension to an already well thought out itinerary. The included meals were yummy - and nice that they included beverages. It was nice at the end of a long day to have some of the meals planned for us! We can hardly wait until our next adventure with Go Ahead.

"As expected, Greece was beautiful. Our Tour Director was one of the best I've had. He was knowledgeable, organized, and extremely friendly. He did his best to take us to every scenic view and point us in the direction of great restaurants. He even gave us the option to participate in extra excursions if we wanted to. "Florence hotel was awful!! Mold in bathroom, hotel was a 1 star,street car ran from 5 am to 2 am, had to walk a block with luggage to get to hotel, imposdable to find room, no restaurant, no way to get a beverage, breakfast was really bad, coffee out of a vender machine,bed like a rock, no english news channel, it was a dump! Same with sorrento, both were 1 star ,if that, my friends who did the trip earlier stayed at nicer places very disappointed for whatipaid"
"This is my second Go Ahead tour and it was very nice! There was plenty of free time to explore London on my own in addition to the planned and optional excursions. I took the optional excursion to Stonehenge and Salisbury. It was nice but it took so long getting through traffic in London we didn't get to spend much time in Salisbury. I'd suggest spending less time at Stonehenge. The people in my tour group were friendly and fun! Kay was my tour guide and she was GREAT, very attentive ahd helpful. I'm already thinking about my next tour with Go Ahead."
