"Initially, I was so incredibly stressed out ordering this lighting fixture because this order was very complicated; lots of moving parts. This light is huge (which SHOULD mean expensive), complicated because there were many different variations in product (size, etc), and shipping time is a factor because we have to have it installed by a certain date due to other projects we have going on in our home. Thank goodness my chaos fell into the hands of this INCREDIBLE customer service rep. This has been one of the best experiences of my life dealing with a sales rep/cust serv rep. "Devora" took complete control of the situation, releaving all of my stress. She made calls to the distributor for me, getting exact details, helped me get a smokin deal on the light, went out of her way to help me in numerous different ways without getting irritated with me, especially while I rudely had to keep interrupting her because my 2 year old was being a monster . She made me feel like she enjoyed helping me. I will definitely be ordering from this company in the future. Good customer service is so hard to find these days...

"The return policy states "Returns without a valid return authorization will be refused and no credit will be issued." My husband passed away suddenly and I had all I could do to get over it and to settle everything. I noted I had a light fixture for two months. I called and asked it they would accept the return since I have to move and can no longer afford the re-model. The response was, after two days, of "you have to pay a restock fee and shipping". The other fixtures I had to return to other stores gladly accepted them back with free shipping and NO restock fee. That is because they have human compassion. Why would I ever want to shop at Going Lighting again? "
"When my order was delayed due to supply chain problems, I was promptly and courteously notified. The delay stretched out to the point that I decided to cancel my order, and Going Lighting issued me a very prompt refund. The problems were not their fault but they made things right anyway. I will give them my business in the future. "
"I was a bit hesitant to order a chandelier from this company based on some of the reviews. I did place the order and the process was very smooth; I immediately received an e-mail confirmation of the order. Although the web site said that the chandelier was in stock, I received an e-mail and a couple of phone calls two or three days later, informing me that it wasn't in stock and that it was back-ordered from the manufacturer. They asked if I wanted to keep the order in place or cancel it. I decided to keep it in place. I felt that this was excellent customer service, keeping me informed and providing options. A few days later, I received a shipping notice with tracking details. When the box arrived, it was in terrible shape and appeared to have left the warehouse that way (it had a partial box taped around it). Despite our fears when seeing it and opening it with trepidation, the chandelier was in perfect condition. Overall, very happy."

"I ordered 6 lights on August 26th. I was charged for all 6 and received 1 light with a packing slip saying that all 6 shipped. Called Going Light to see where the other 5 lights were and was told they are backordered for 4 weeks. I attempted to cancel my order and send back the 1 I had already received however they encouraged me not to. Called 6 weeks later asking the status of the other 5 and was told this time they were backordered "indefinitely". Again attempted to cancel. I purchased new lights from another store and within 2 days I received the remaining 5 from Going Lighting. Call them to return it and they told me I would be charged a 15% restocking fee. The customer service agent even said " I see here where you wanted to return it."
Oh did I mention they are also telling me I have to pay the return shipping too.
Crooked business I do not recommend. "
"I shopped through their GoingKnobs website. They had very good pricing, esp. with a sale coupon, and it was easy to select and order.
There was a very minor issue with manufacturer quality control, BUT customer service from GoingKnobs (/GoingDecor/GoingLighting) was very responsive and helpful, sent replacement product, and their rep was a pleasure to deal with. Old-fashioned customer service -- a nice surprise.”"

"I was worried about buying from a website I was not familiar with, but I pulled the trigger and went for it because they had great prices. I am so glad I did. I contacted customer service a couple times and was given tracking numbers and was told where my ceiling fan was shipped from. I was surprised how quickly it arrived. When I had an electrician install the fan I found a couple led light bulbs that did not work.. once again I called customer service and to my surprise they mailed me two bulbs. Really what more can you ask from a company, Great customer service and they stand by their products."

"I received my light fixtures after months of backorders. I wanted to fixtures, so I was patient to await them to replenish stock. Upon receipt, the install revealed one of the fixtures was defective. I reached out to customer service and they told me I could not use LED bulbs. Thinking this was a bit of a bizarre response, I reached out to the manufacturer of the light fixtures and they said LED are compatible. Back to Going Lighting customer service and they still tell me I can't use LED despite the company who makes the fixtures saying it was compatible. They refuse to give me a refund for a broken fixture. Credit card claim has been start, but sad it has to get to this point in today's world of online commerce."
"After attempting to cancel an order that I placed not even 24 hours ago, their office was already closed early on Fridays at 1 pm. I just missed this time but left emails and phone calls to cancel. Unfortunately, even though their office was closed, apparently their shipping department is open and it was too late to cancel. They proceeded to send it out to me by UPS which was delivered back to their New Jersey office from California. At this point it was supposed to be shipped back directly to California but then a week later it arrives to my address even though they told me it was in transit to their warehouse. Then it became my responsibility to take these two heavy items back to UPS and then they only refunded me partial credit. They deducted $80 for restocking fees which I really fine ridiculous since there were so many errors and lack of concern on their part. Make sure you really want with your ordering because you do not want to deal with their returns department!"
"I'm embarrassed that I didn't look up reviews before I purchased from Going. Received a product that was unknown to be damaged until fully installed. Cost prohibitive to uninstall and send back. Going Decor was totally unwilling to work with me to find an adequate solution. I feel bad for the CS people. Zero power to take care of customers. Wanted to give the local guys a chance, but it's better to shop at the big boxes, unfortunately. Buy from them at your own risk."
