"My light fixture came seemingly overnight and when I noticed a defect in the glass bell jar and called customer service, I was sent a replacement part immediately. Unfortunately, the replacement glass from the manufacturer also had a defect (and I didn't notice until I had already installed the light) but they worked diligently with the vendor to find a solution. I received a new glass bell jar and this was all within one week! I also saved $110 over my local lighting store. Will definitely shop here again!"
"The Going Group, specifically "Going Decor," provided the kitchen cabinet hardware I had been looking for on other sites, and for a lot less cost. Moreover, they actually had the items in stock, which the others did not, and they shipped them to me right away. I ordered two styles (29 of one, and 11 of the other), and when they arrived, the count was slightly off: there was an extra in one style, and one missing in the other style. I emailed customer service and received an immediate response saying they were sending out the missing handle right away, and I could keep the extra one. Wow! Now THAT'S what I call EXCELLENT customer service - on every level!!! As an Interior Designer, I would not hesitate to recommend this company to all my Clients. They got my credit card information, sent me order confirmations, but six days later they emailed me to say they were cancelling the orders because the products were discontinued. Why would they even let my order go through in that case, and why did they wait six days to tell me? This leads me to believe they are a very disorganized business. I'm very disappointed and this has left a bad first impression so I will not be placing an order with them again."
"This place is so out of sync with how ecommerce works. First my order was one month delayed. When it didn’t fit I was charged a 15 percent restocking fee and it took two weeks to get a return authorization. And I had to pay shipping back. I was out $100 on a $300 order. And the customer service rep was so unhelpful. I have about 30 more lights to buy for my new house and would never go back to this outdated site. "
"I bought a chrome trim 12 pack for recesed lights. I got it from #goinglighting because one of our friends had got it and the website says they 110% price match. I called them and now they dont want to honor their word and tryiong make excuses. Horrible customer service. Every other website has it proced lower than them and yet they dont want to price match. Its a big scam!! Extremely dis satisfied and I am planning to return the product even if I have to pay for shipping. Never ever shop from #goinglighting. "Going Lighting is a division of Going Decor with multiple products they sell. They do not honor the manufacturer's warranty. I had a problem with the switch of an $800 lamp I purchased. After waiting 6 months for the product to arrive, the switch stopped working after 26 on/offs. When contacting Going Lighting, they put me in touch with the manufacturer. The manufacturer doesn't honor their warranties when selling through Going Lighting. Thus the switch was not going to be fixed. Going lighting wouldn't take back the lamp and exchange it for one that works, and after many failed attempts to get some resolution, the very polite customer service team failed to respond to me.
In addition, when I ordered the brushed nickel finish, I was contacted multiple times about the item being backordered. I was finally encouraged to go with the satin nickel finish. After receiving it, the brushed nickel lamp arrived the same week!!! Would they take the satin nickel lamp back? NO. Because it wouldn't be in the exact same box. I'd tossed the satin finish one. Then they claimed because I didn't cancel the brushed nickel order that I was paying shipping charges. Now this was a devious play on their part. "
"I recently bought five lighting fixtures from Goinglighting.com. One of the five arrived damaged - apparently dropped from a height - by the carrier. On opening, the lens for the fixture had shattered. I phoned Goinglighting's customer service. They asked for a picture of the damaged fixture which I sent by email. They then promptly shipped a replacement. I am very satisfied with this merchant's handling of the matter."
