" I ordered two bathroom light fixtures and received them in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately one would not fit into the available space (due to lack of adequate dimensions on the web site) and I had to return the order. After contacting the return department with three follow up calls, it took 10 days before they issued me a return authorization number.
They require all returns to only be made via UPS or FedEx. What they don't tell you is that the return shipping cost is very high. It cost me $49.02 to ship the two lightweight boxes.
In addition they are very slow to refund your money. I shipped the two boxes via UPS on May 20. Going lighting did not issue my refund until June 10.
Do not order from Going Lighting if there is any chance that a return will be necessary."
"I had ordered a vanity bathroom light fixture from Goinglighting and it was delivered on-time. We didn't immediately open the box as our half bath remodel hadn't started. A few weeks later, when we opened the box, we discovered one of the globes was broken. We took a chance and hung the fixture anyway hoping that they could just ship another globe.
We immediately notified Goinglighting and within (24) hours, they acknowledged our e-mail and advised another globe will be shipped from their warehouse. Two points:
1. They did not require me to ship the entire unit back; some vendors require the entire unit to be shipped back in order for a replacement to occur. This is the definition of a convenient and hassle free transaction.
2. Responsiveness was excellent; some vendors, I don't hear back for days and have to end up calling.
Nice work Goinglighting; when something goes wrong, and it will, it's how you respond that makes the difference. Put the customer at the center of everything you do and you'll win every time.

"Do not buy anything from this company! I have been struggling for weeks to return a damaged chandelier. They are refusing to accept the return, after requiring photos (two rounds of them) to show the chandelier hanging crooked and bent from the ceiling. Since they order from another manufacturer (they told me) they will not accept a return. They told me that I'd screwed the threads in wrong -- even though the chandelier came already assembled where the threads were bad. I've seen other reviews about this -- so buyer beware!"
"They let you buy items w/o telling you it is on backorder and you have to wait months for the item. If you used paypal they keep your money instead of charging when it ships."
"I am so happy with the customer experience. My lights arrived very fast! I love the quality and style. One light had some black smudging that would not clean off, I sent a email seeing what could be done, they responded in a timely manner, they fixed the problem by sending a new light out. This made it easy for me to get the problem fixed and showed great honor in their products and company. I would use them again for sure! (Better than amazon in my experience) "
"I ordered a pendant chandelier from this company. It arrived in perfect condition and arrived five days after it was ordered. They were 30% less than a local vendor, and when I pointed this out to the local vendor they would not honor the price, because they said going lighting was not a certified vendor.
