"I shipped 13 boxes of personal effects from Toronto to Mountain View CA. Navis picked them up from inside my house and delivered them inside an apartment in Mountain View. Navis handled all the interactions with US customs. The boxes were not damaged in any way and there were no issues with US customs. My interactions with Navis were all by email and telephone. The Navis person (Bernice) was professional, polite, patient and helpful. I am 100% satisfied."
"Fabulous in a word. The gentlemen who delivered our furniture and household goods were at the house 15 minutes early, were very gracious, and their attitude and willingness to help in any way was above and beyond. We are glad to highly recommend Navis to others and will call upon the company in the future should the need arise. "
"Steve helped our organization with a complex move and was a true partner at every step of the planning process. His crew, led by Andrew, were prompt, timely with their work, and diligent in ensuring all items were handled and packed with care. Highly recommended. "
"These guys are experts at packaging and crating unusual items for shipment.
My item was packed well and palatalized perfectly. I found it surprising that they did not place any labels or stickers on it noting "Fragile" or "Do not Stack". Minor issue for sure.
The specialized service they provide does come at a price. And they process the jobs at their own pace, they will "let you know" when the item(s) are ready to ship so don't ask for a timeline or projected arrival date.
Overall they do what they say and they do it well.

"As a long-standing company in the medical equipment field, we have done business with numerous crating companies over the years, some good, others great, and some awful. The Downers Grove, IL location of Navis is absolutely the latter, with their corporate customer service & franchise services coordinator primarily being the deciding factor for this review.
Problems occur in the logistics industry, we fully understand the risks involved with hiring a company to crate a valuable piece of equipment, but the expectation of common sense should always be present.
We received a job update picture from this location, and noticed they had packed & placed a medical diagnostic scanning head on its side within the crate. When asked about the choice, the owner replied with, " The head unit is laying sideway. It was bubbled and boxed. Head unit is mostly frame, so we didn’t think there isn’t any issue laying sideway....." Needless to state, we contacted corporate immediately, the location actually unpacked the head as described, and shipped it bare, simply sitting it under a power table. As expected, upon arrival to our facility, the unit was severely damaged & out of calibration.
After reaching out to corporate to address our concerns, and consider our options, we were met with a request for information, once provided, the official Navis reply was simply, "We don’t see how any of the damage you claim there is occurred because of the way the Navis handled your items. It seems more likely to us that any damage that occurred was caused in transit and therefore you should be filing the claim with your carrier." We spent a good amount of money on a functioning piece of medical equipment, entrusted its care to Navis, and are essentially now left with a non-functioning unit & an extensive repair bill.
We handle numerous inbound crates weekly, and can confirm there was zero external shipping damage to this particular crate. We find this lack of accountability & responsibility unacceptable and want to ensure the next individual or company does not make the same mistake.
There are numerous crate companies in the greater Chicago area, save yourself the headache and expense.
