"I shipped 13 boxes of personal effects from Toronto to Mountain View CA. Navis picked them up from inside my house and delivered them inside an apartment in Mountain View. Navis handled all the interactions with US customs. The boxes were not damaged in any way and there were no issues with US customs. My interactions with Navis were all by email and telephone. The Navis person (Bernice) was professional, polite, patient and helpful. I am 100% satisfied."
"BROKEN ANTIQUES!! SENIORS BE WARE!! We shipped a set of antique furniture from one state to another. They dropped the massive, unwrapped pallet on our driveway. What?? Imagine having to unwrap a pallet taller than your garage door!! The furniture in the pallet was DECIMATED. There were broken arms, legs, and shattered glass. And they left us with all the wrapping material, cellophane, and even the wooden pallet!! Unbelievable! To add insult to injury, they sold us an insurance policy, then typo'd the numbers and turned it on us to refuse to pay the correct amount. When pushed, the insurance rep Carolyn could not explain at all how the policy numbers could have added up. Really bad faith all around. DO NOT SHIP WITH NAVIS. DO NOT SHIP WITH ANY ANNEX BRAND COMPANY. Find a local, reputable company and ship with them instead. Find an antique dealer and ask their advice. Ask around, ask your art dealers, antique shops, friends, but don't blindly pick Navis. If you buy additional insurance for your shipment, call your state's insurance department and confirm that they are licensed in the state."
