"I admit that i am new to the whole name change...dealing with the SS Office thing.. but you can actually get the form you need for free online or at your local SS Office OR you can pay $97.00 for Gov Simplified to mail you the paper... and i acknowledge that they mention on the website that the form is free etc. but i honestly thought that there was more to it than just that form so i went for it anyway... honestly i wish i'd just called my local office because as a single mom on a tight budget i think this website is the biggest waste of money I've ever spent.
Do yourself a favor and CALL YOUR LOCAL OFFICE before you make this mistake.
This isn't something i can comfortably afford right now so i guess that is why i am a little bothered, and i could have easily avoided paying anything...
