"This site needs to make it more clear that it is not affiliated with the IRS or US govt., and that there is a fee for this service. I couldn't figure out why I was being charged, until I realized after the fact that this is a 3rd party completing the application for me. If I had known that, I could have completed it myself, or had my CPA do it. Other than that, I received my EIN quickly, allowing me to complete other necessary paperwork in a timely manner. I am not saying I wouldn't have used the service if I had clearly understood its lack of affiliation beforehand, but at least I would have made a truly informed decision about that purchase. By only stating that in the small print in an out-of-the-way spot, I feel I was slightly misled by your site."
