"Govsimplified provided what they promised and the process was fast and easy. That said, it is a very bad value. I used them to apply for an EIN. I was almost completed with the process when I remembered you can do this for free through the IRS. Still not sure what the supposed value added is. And in fairness they do let you know you can work directly with IRS for this service (always read the fine print). But I did it and that's on me. Caveat Emptor. Yet, I received my EIN within a very short time (15-20 minutes) though I paid $129 for the three day service. I could have paid somewhere around $20 more for the one day service and $50 more for the one hour service. It appears that it would have been the same turn around time. The business' web address is something I should have picked up on immediately: www.ein-gov.us.. Any U.S. federal government web address ends in .gov, for example irs.gov or opm.gov. However, their address could make you believe that you were working directly with a government organization. I was taken in as I was working quickly. Should have known better. But what was an annoying mistake for me, could be a very costly one for a fledgling business person. You are far better off working directly with the IRS to obtain an EIN. There is no added value here at all in my opinion."
"Initially I had problems with the site being down, but this morning I was able to complete the process and obtain my EIN within an hour. The cost of the service was a bit intimidating. I suppose that the time to do the leg work was minimal though it cost as much or more than an attorney's hourly fee. I guess even cyberspace comes at a price. "
