A rep from Greeting Card Universe, gcu-support, has responded:
“Due to a technical issue that caused a backlog in our fulfillment process we had to bring on additional staff to help process thousands of orders that were behind. Unfortunately some of these individuals were processing the orders by scanning the back of the cards without actually checking the front, and a handful of orders made it through and shipped even though the cards were printed in reverse. We've taken steps to ensure this doesn't happen again, but you're correct, this should never happen in the first place and we're terribly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
