"I bought two preban magazines, never received a tracking number, and was made to jump through hoops. In the end, I never received them. Items appear to be relisted, and seller blocked me, and refuses to refund or replace. Upon notifying customer service, they blocked my account to "take care of the problem" because the seller (morgantrailgunstuff) is an "A+" rated user with 17,000 sales. Beware using this site, and this seller. "
"I was looking to purchase a lower receiver, my boyfriend suggested them, he had a good experience ordering a barrel from their site. I tried to set up a profile, but they flagged my account and would not let me register. I emailed customer service and they responded that there is already an account set up at my address, my boyfriend's account. They then suggested that I use that account to make my purchase. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, they told me to have my boyfriend commit a felony and purchase my gun for me."
"On 2/11/18 I attempted to bid on an item on GunBroker.com. With under a minute left, I bid on the item and next thing I know there is 14 minutes showing on the bid clock, I then got outbid so waited again until there was under a minute left to bid and hit the icon to bid and it took me to a screen that did not allow me to place a bid and the time ran out. This site is a toal scam, probably an employee was bidding against me and rigged the system...BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"They say there's an issue with my account which there is no reason for so I had my girlfriend setup an account and same thing this site is a joke!"
"Winning bidder on my gun (who had an A+ rating with 400+ transactions) immediately began trying to renegotiate price, renegotiate shipping terms, then falsely claimed that my gun was illegal to ship and he ultimately backed out. GunBroker.com would NOT allow me to sell to the runner up bidder and they charged me about $33 anyway for the failed auction, although this can be used as credit to relist the same gun for another brand new auction. I should have followed my instinct when GunBroker.com wanted to charge me $2.00 simply to register an account with an alias email (@gmail, @yahoo etc).
Minor gripes: GunBroker only lets you post 4 pictures. You can post 4 more (total of 8) through a remote site but only if it's secure (https). The only work around is to set up your own webpage full of pictures. You can post URLS in your description BUT once again if the site isn't secure GunBroker will not allow the link to work. A reader will have to copy and paste an http site. I don't know why GunBroker is so hung up on http websites.
Customer service is slooooooooow. If you have questions then it may take days to get an answer from GunBroker.
Ultimately I sold my gun on ArmsList.com at a set price. This site is more designed for finding LOCAL buyers. When you can meet someone in person (at a range or in gun store parking lot) you will get a higher price. Buyer can see gun in person and know that it's not potentially an internet scam. This commands a higher price. "
"Went to this thinking this would be a good way to sell off part of a collection....was I ever wrong! There is NO contact number. Their “support” show that under 50% of their users don’t think much of it. Cannot do there quick pay system is you don’t have a FFL. This site IS NOT set up for individuals. They did not mention the HIGH cost of shipping a handgun. Do not try and sell handguns on this site. Rifles and shotguns can be shipped ground for a lot less. I wanted to ship a handgun- $119.00! Had I known, in advance, I wouldn’t have put in there. A FFL can do a two day ship. A private person it’s overnight only through FedEx. Cannot ship the at all through the USPS. ZThis site does NOTHING to help. If I could give it negative stars I would."
"I didn't think I needed to look at shipping costs. Who thought a company would charge $20 to ship a 20 round bix of ammo that costs $45. lol. Do yourself a favor and buy from Brownells. "
"I think a website like Gunbroker.com should provide a secure environment for both seller and buyer to do transaction. If they just allow anyone to post and sell anything, or pertain to sell something. Then take the money and never ship anything; and just fine with them. Then they basically create an environment to allow crooks to do their business. I brought a rifle, never receive, and they basically do not provide any help. The bottom line there is enough fraud out there already, we surely do not website like Gunbroker.com to promote that kind of activity. So the best thing is still go to your local gun store. You might spend a few dollars more, but you actually talk to the people you deal with, and you actually walk out with the item. Rather than the frustration to deal with a non descriptive website like Gunbroker.com, and never get to actually contact to a real person if there is a problem."
"Bought a rifle that was described as “possibly unfired,or not fired much—all bluing great”. Bluing was rubbed off on part of the bottom of the receiver, several nicks on the barrel. Took it to a gunsmith to address the bolt being very hard to operate. He found that an internal part of the bolt had to be replaced (still waiting on the repairs over a month now). I contacted Gun Broker about this, opening a fraud claim. Their response was for me to contact law enforcement, post office, etc. They don’t get involved, but lead you to believe they will if a claim is opened. It’s not worth the aggravation to do business with this group. I will buy from reputable organizations from now on. "
" Been selling on GunBroker for two years now. Every time somebody doesn’t pay it’s a major hassle to try to get your feedback. These guys are so money greedy that you have to jump through so many hoops to get your money back and then they make you relist on their site. And the only way to get a hold of them is to email them. Talk about a bunch of cowards. I will never ever sell on this site ever again. They’ve stolen so much money from me I can’t even begin to tell you. And they simply do not Care!!!!!!!! Please I would love to start a class action lawsuit against these scumbags who have no phone number to call. Any company this big that you cannot call is shady to begin with. Trust me if you sell on there they will rip you off. That’s a fact and I can prove it. Please respond to this email if you would like to join in on a class action lawsuit against Gun Broker. If we get enough people will have a good leg to stand on. Because trust me these lowlifes have the best lawyers available."
"They are HORRIBLE, stay away from this site, I sent my money, never got the brass I paid for, and when I complained My account was terminated, and I will bad mouth them forever"
"This issue has been resolved thanks ONLY to Gunbroker suggesting that Riverfront Tactical give me a full refund for an item I paid for in full, however, was never shipped by Riverfront Tactical. A full refund was issued by Riverfront Tactical. I honestly hate to leave this at one star, however, hopefully by doing so it will prevent someone else from having to deal with the incompetence at Riverfront Tactical. Again, thank you Gunbroker for getting involved and getting me my money refunded in full. For those who have read this short review update, please search for my full review of Riverfront Tactical on ResellerRatings.com. I will end this post with a very serious warning... AVOID Riverfront Tactical at ALL costs! UNPROFESSIONAL and INCOMPETENT!"
"Won a bid on a gun and the seller never responded to my "contact seller" button. Unresponsive to emails for several days. Bought a different gun in that there was no seller contact. Seller fabricated a pack of lies and got GB to suspend my account for 90 days. No investigation into the matter other than the sellers BS as gospel. I explained what had happened regarding my version but didn't matter to them. Take your business elsewhere such as GunsAmerica. These people at GB don't know real customer service and cater to the lies of the seller in this case. I will never do another bit of business with them again and have urged all my friends who use the site to go elsewhere in light of the way I was treated. Also filing complaints with the BBB and AG in Georgia."
"Always use a credit card. Do not give banking info to anyone. Let GB charge your card; you can always dispute that. All you get is identification of the potential customer or vendor. After that, you are on your own!"
"I understand that if u neglect to pay for something u get suspended. However after winning an auction a financial crisis came up but i alerted them and they still suspended my account. Are these guys really that money hungry to where they say if u dont pay u cant buy anything. This website is so shady that it was almost not worth writing a review about. Yes i will admit there is some nice inexpensive guns on here but i knew it was too good to be true. Gun Broker needs to change its stupid rules and stop thinking of their own selves!!!"
