Order originated in England, took 12 days to deliver, 2 of the 3 same size items were too large, they deducted $12 to return because 3rd party Petembra was not included in the free return group. The Bay thinks they are Amazon now, but they fail. I will not use The Bay Marketplace. "
"I ordered a jacket from The Bay Marketplace. They sent the wrong size and the jacket was huge. I tried to return it but the Seller ghosted me. I had to escalate the issue with the Bay customer service. They made me return it at my cost. I will never again buy from The Bay/Zellers Marketplace."
"I order a pair of men shoes from The Bay's Market place. I wore them two times and they fell apart. I got in touch with the Marketplace sellers S3 HOLDING LLC. They email me and asked for pictures. I sent them the pictures with ordering information. They email that they would get back to me and instead they didn't. Now they won't reply to any request of mind. The prices of the shoes were so 64.00 dollars CAD, real cheap. I guess you could say I got what I paid for. I've given up. It's not worth my time and I believe this is part of their strategy and it works. Beware! "

I had a concern about how to obtain a refund for an order from a market place seller, and the customer service agent by name Laurence Jade Lazaga, worked so hard to get the issue resolved for me, so easily but professionally. "I have shopped with Bay for over 30 year. They were icon for their customer satisfaction. First incident was ignored as mistakes do happen. This time I have purchased items a month ago for Xmas gifts and are missing most items( 1 received). It shows package is sitting at at terminal since December 4th . Last week called to find out and was advised that they are tracking my shipment and will email me. A full refund was also promised. Today called again after seeing no refund and no status change on shipment or any email. I was told they can credit me and I can buy same items on 10% off.. unfortunately no managers were available.. I will think 10 times before buying anything from them. The new courier is horrible. I never believe I would say this but Please bring back Canada post. At least they were delivering packages."

"I placed an order on the Hudson Bay website market place, Worst decision I’ve ever made not only did I have to pay $25 for shipping for items that did not fit, After countless emails and phone calls I still have not received my refund !! The customer service agents keep giving me some false story that the refund will be in my account in 10 days it’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my money I am truly appalled with the level of customer service or lack there of , I can for sure say that I will never order something from them again!

One of the items had wrong tag ( as it was not clearance) but she matched the price and gave me the clearance price. It was a nice experience for me . Thank you Carla!"
"DO NOT SHOP AT HBC. Save your time and money by shopping elsewhere. Anywhere else! Bought 2 pairs of boots 2 years ago, both arrived in damaged boxes, and looked as though they had been worn quite a bit. I returned one pair, and was charged a return fee, even though returns were free. It took 6 months to refund my money, as they had deposited my refund into someone else's account.
This February I purchased a seasonal Swatch watch. When it arrived, the gift/storage box it comes in was damaged. I immediately contacted HBC to try and get a new box. After a month of back-and-forth a manager told me the only way to get a new box was to return the watch I had and purchase a new one. She assured me she would personally make sure an undamaged box and watch would be sent. When I expressed my concerns about the refund process, she assured she would personally make sure the refund was deposited into my account. I believed her - my mistake. Instead of a refund, they sent me a gift card. I called repeatedly, sent emails, and filled out their online forms trying to get my refund as promised. When I called, the reps answering refused to let me speak with a manager; despite my numerous requests for a manager to call me back, no one ever did. Email replies constantly said different things. They tried to say I was past the return timeframe, so they would not give me my money back. I wrote lengthy emails explaining the situation, and how a manager told me to return the watch, with the promise of a refund to my original form of payment. I asked to speak with the processing unit to explain the situation, but the phone reps refused. Everything I requested was refused. Any form of help or decent customer service was refused. And to add insult to injury, the second watch also arrived in a damaged box, which HBC refused to acknowledge. What a horrible, horrible store. Never shop there - they are thieves and liars."
"I ordered a pair of shoes online for my mom's birthday and she wasn't happy with them, so I decided to return. The seller (from Marketplace!) made me pay for the return shipping cost which was $16 for me on a $100 pair of shoes, ridiculous! The Bay didn't stand behind the seller to return the product , they literally say it's marketplace so go and deal with them yourself, so no recommended at all!"
"Seriously if anyone is thinking about buying any big ticket items from the Bay.......DON'T! It has the worst customer service on this earth. We have been dealing with them since January on a defective mattress and today we are "suppose" to receive delivery of a new replacement. 10 whole months we have been fighting with them and jumping through all their hoops to get to the point where they finally sent out a tech who deemed it defective. Not a call from the delivery company (with a promised call notifying of a 3 hour window, so here we sit) and the Bay customer service is absolutely useless."
"Ordering online is disaster. Half their products are sold by a third party and can’t be returned in store or to the third party without a charge. What a joke.
I contacted both hbc and the third party to cancel the order before it shipped (as soon as I realized the bay wouldn’t let me return in store if it didn’t fit) and then it was still shipped and now I’ll have to pay rerun shipping.
Horrible experience. "
