I would like you to share my experience with Hudson's bay. They did not issue the refund for returned items and still state that it was issued 5 month ago. However, the bank confirmed that I have never received the refund for this order. I will not spend any cent for purchasing at Hb again. "
"Spent about 1/2 hour trying to get through to the order desk, disconnected by operator once I'd started to place the order, disconnected 3 times by the system itself once the automated message asked me to "stay on the line as there is an approximate 3 minute wait", finally spoke with an agent who was very difficult to understand only to be told the item I wanted (which is advertised as a sale item on the Bay site) would not be available until July and it is March 22 as I write this. Trying to support a struggling Canadian company with my purchase but that kind of service just isn't going to cut it."
"I have been waiting 3 months for a refund on a coat I purchased in November. I call at least every 2 weeks spending countless hours waiting on hold and am told they have not received it back, it is being processed, the refund has been done etc etc. Always a different story if I am not disconnected first. Most agents don't even speak clear English. Worst customer experience EVER!! It is 200.00 so I want my money back. I don't know what to do at this point. Ive asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and no one calls me back. No one appears to have any clue as to what is going on. Staff are getting paid to lie to the customers apparently."
"I ordered two perfume set on December.. it’s said it’s going to be deliver on 14th of December but came on 24th of December by Canada post .. only one item came.. other one missing .. called Hudson’s bay twice there still investigating.. almost month now still waiting for the item.. I been using Amazon for 5 years now not one time missing item or delayed like this . I wouldn’t recommend any one to use online order from Hudson Bay "
"First, I paid online three times. Finally it worked. It charged my bank three times. Took 2 emails to get the other two charges off my bank account and 48 hours for the money to come back. Then, the sheet set arrives, did not even fit my son's double bed, let alone my queen. Then I call their Customer Service Center. The rep did not speak English the first time, did not know how to track my order the second, and hung up the third. I emailed, waited 3 days no response. I would like my money back the sheets are not a Queen and are not even a double and calling and emailing do nothing to help me. Terrible product descriptions, terrible customer service, dreadful experience, will never shop at HBC online again. So they get the sheets back - they issue me a GIFT CARD for 50% of the purchase price - they sent me the wrong size of sheets. I want a full cash refund.
Update December 29, 2020: I call the toll-free customer service line. The wait time is estimated at 27 minutes. This is horrible. I speak to a Customer Service rep after this long wait. The English was not great and the agent was hard to understand. I eventually understood her to say "it is the custom of Hudson's Bay Co to issue gift cards no cash refunds. If customer want cash refund, customer have to call us and say". OK that is odd practice, I tell her of course I want a full cash refund you sent me the wrong item. Apparently, you also have to tell them you want a FULL REFUND and not a partial refund and a partial gift card. Would it not be understood that if I returned the item with tracking that I would want a FULL CASH REFUND FOR THE PURCHASE PRICE? Having successfully navigated this Customer Service nightmare in broken English, I am told I "will wait 15 - 30 days for refund process". I say gee, this is a long wait and I ask for a transaction # to confirm the refund. The agent tells me "system no does generate these". Strange again. Ok, I ask the agent for the dollar amount of the refund, to ensure it is going to be a FULL refund. Agent responds "system no give this information". Gee. You are able to process a refund but it does not give you a transaction # or refund amount. That is strange. Anyway, I will advise if and when the refund appears and if it is a FULL refund apparently sometime in the next 15-30 days.
UPDATE: January 5, 2021. Received an HBC Gift Card for $63.00 Canadian, less than half the cost of the sheets that I returned in the package to HBC and tracking states delivered. No matter the calls I make, I get a call center somewhere in Malaysia and I cannot get a cash refund just a 1/2-price gift card even though HBC sent out twin-sized sheets instead of Queen. Queen is apparently out of stock. So now I have no sheets and half my money back on a useless gift card. If they get the order wrong and won't honor the return with a refund, why would anyone want to buy more from them with a gift card or via any other means. Horrible company, tantamount to fraudulent. Do NOT shop at HBC, especially not online."

"Don't ever get the Bay's gift card guys. I tried to use the gift card online but decided not to go through with it. Next thing I know someone HACKED my gift card on THE BAY and bought stuff with it. Basically 80 dollars GONEE. And the bay just said too bad so sad. Never shopping there againnn. "
"Ordered 7 bras on line on dec 14th the box arrived a few people were there and when i opened the box on,\ly 4 were in but the packing slip said 7 . Called and was assured I would get a refund for the 3 not sent but it would take up to 3 weeks. After 3 weeks i submitted a request for an update via chat- i was told they would have to investigate. When i i formed them I had already been promised a refund they said fine but it was 3 weeks of business days- strange terminology. I waited another week and then called and was told it would take a little longer. A week later i chatted again and was told- no they had investigated and 7 were sent so no regund. Basically saying they could never make a human error and I was stealing from them and a liar. I was highly offended by this. I called and got nowhere- they said they would send me a 30 gift card “for my trouble” but since the refund was suppose to be over 80.00 i told them this was not an acceptable resolution, they basically ended the conversation. They would not give me a number or email for a superior. I had been a in store bay customer for over 30 years and gave them a great deal of business- keep away from online Hudson Bay"
"I order some furniture online and it had been told will be delivered on February 27th. And two days before that they told me will delay my order for a week. I called them to confirm the time for the delivery. Because apartment have limited time zone to allow me to use the elevator. They told me they will call me a day before delivery. They cannot tell me now. One day before the delivery they told me they can deliver between 8:00 to 11:00. I told them I only can use elevator between 11:00 to 1:00pm. They told me to reschedule the delivery date again. And I need to inform them 48 hours before the delivery date. But I called them 5 times already to confirm the time. No one tell me that. "
"Worst customer service! It took us more than 5 months to be able to change our mattress and we were only able to do it because the employees at the physical Hudson's Bay location where we purchased the mattress, took it upon themselves to resolve the situation. We called at least 20 times to their Customer Service and have received the worst treatment by Mathieu and his supervisor Shawn (who actually hung up on us!) They, at one point, lost our customer informations, asked me to provide them with the SKU number of the replacement mattress, because Mathieu said, he couldn't find it online and if he called The Bay location, they probably would not pick up the phone anyway so I should do it and call him back! I will never go back to a Hudson's Bay to buy anything important, they obviously do not want to respect their return policy.
The company Ovation doing delivery did not want to take the mattress out of their truck. These guys did not want to work! They were supposed to deliver us a mattress from Hudson's Bay on february 11th 2020, but they stayed in their truck in front on our house calling the wrong phone number until I actually came out to see them. Then they said it was potentially too slippery in our driveway, so I sanded it even more for them. All the time, they stayed in their truck. I understand the concept of safety first, I work in construction, but it was -4 degrees celsius, the driveway had been plowed that morning and sanded twice. As soon as I was done shoveling sand, they just left, without even telling me anything! I couldn't believe it! I called Customer Service at Hudson's Bay and it took them 1 week to realize that the delivery guys had mistakenly (?) returned my mattress to Toronto at the end of that day! They finally returned yesterday february 25th 2020, while my wife was at home during the day with our baby and they did not even take the mattress to our bedroom, just left it in the living room and took off! "
"I bought expensive linen sheets on sale at HBC online. They shed so much lint that the dryer lint trap had to be cleaned twice when I washed them-- and I washed them 4 times to try to deal with the bizarre amount of lint coming off them, They were such poor quality that they got a hole after these 4 washings. HBC online told me they were used and therefore could not be returned... So I guess they figure a set of sheets should last 22 days? "

Twice from my acct....the cost of the shoes i ordered also went down a few days later and they promised to refund the price adjustment, but never did....it has been 2 1/2 months....no resolution yet..... Horrible service and they steal your money....never again"
"I used to think HBC was a good online shopping experience as items are delivered quickly. However twice in two months I have had items missing from a set! Unacceptable! One was a neck warmer from a snowsuit, one a pillow case from a sheet set - which was a twin so it only includes one pillowcase which means we received none! Now I have to trek to the store to return while waiting for a new set - hopefully complete - to ship.
It’s just not worth shopping online with them anymore."
"My experience was absolutely horrible!!!! I ordered something for my husband online on November 28, 2019 and was told within a day that my order had supposedly shipped, which it never did!!!!! It was something that I ordered for him for Christmas and obviously I never got it, And up until today January 15, 2020 I am still dealing with these idiots!!! First of all my order never ended up shipping, secondly I called probably every three or four days to get an update from them, even personally reached out to UPS who was supposed to be the shipping carrier, they said that they never received the shipment from HBC based out of Ontario Canada, And the customer service # when you call, that supposed 1-800 number, are a bunch of people that are based out of the Philippines who don’t even know what the hell they are doing half the time! I am very disappointed with the customer service and overall with HBC as it is a well renowned Canadian company which in my opinion should have a Canadian customer service, not people who sit out of their homes in the Philippines and answer the phone!!!
And since this never shipped they offered to give me a refund with they said should take approx 21 business days to receive like WTF!!! 21 business days to receive a refund, give your head a shake!!!!
Never ever order anything from Hudsons bay online, and do not deal with their customer service people they don’t even know what they are doing or talking about half the time. "
