"HD Hut has been a suspicious and unreliable organization since we started out transaction. We purchased a Sharp Aquos LC65E77U (which was originally advertised for $2,378.99 and included a free BluRay player if you purchased an extended Warranty) and by the time I obtained a Company PO the price had been suspiciously "jacked up" to $2,499.99 and the BluRay would not be included even if we did get the extended warranty.

No big deal. We went ahead and got the unit with warranty and a wall mount but the wall mount shipped was the wrong model. We called numerous times to try to resolve the wall mount issue and we were told that "Mark", the returns guy, would help us but he was not available. He would be in later and contact us.

A week into it we still have no resolution in sight and have never spoken to "Mark". We have had to contact our Credit Vendor just to force some sort of resolution.

Based on the experience we have had I would not recommend doing business with HD Hut, and if you do I would seriously think twice about throwing your money away on an extended warranty. I doubt the company will be there in 5 years to honor it anyways.

UPDATE: After posting here I got am immediate phone call from Peter who was upset about getting a bad review from me on this site. I explained why I went to the effort to post here and why I believed that he was behaving unprofessionally (keep in mind I was getting no return calls from him until I posted here).

A discussion ensued and he agreed to credit back my card the $200 for the improper mount. He also asked for me to rescind my negative feedback here. I explained that I would make mention of his willingness to work with me but I would not give him a stellar rating because, in my mind, one should not have to go to the effort I did to get good customer service. This should be a given.

In light of the situation I would be willing to promote HD Hut from 1 star to 2 stars. Not a huge improvement, but an improvement nonetheless."
