"Until I had to return (1) product that I purchased long ago I did not realize that Hammacher-Schlemmer offered lifetime guarantee on all products purchased from the company. I had ordered a new fogless shower shaving mirror thinking I had no choice but to toss the original unit and buy its replacement. I had not tossed the original unit when the new unit arrived but the new one failed in the same way as the older unit almost as soon as it arrived. I called customer service to return the new unit for an exchange. Although customer service could not find the record for the older unit, I was instructed to return both units under the reference number for the newest.
I think this is terrific. A couple of points to keep in mind when comparing pricing as we all do that there is no need to buy an extended but limited time warranty if the product comes from Hammacher. My second point is that the ability to return products to Hammacher is not time limited but lifetime satisfaction. There is only one other US company headquartered in Maine with which I am very familiar that offers this same type of lifetime satisfaction guarantee and warranty. "
