"Has some great software, used to have good service but now, BUYER BEWARE. They do not respond to queries, do not honor their "re-download" service (paid $3 for twice!), and don't respond to complaints or requests.
Other software may lack features, but support will make up the difference -- why waste your money on something that might work quite well?"
"I would like to characterize their customer service as rotten, but it is worse than that.
I purchased a $99.99 application from them for my BlackBerry "Torch". My mistake was I didn't see the part that said it was only for BlackBerry "Storm." Simple mistake. Within an hour I used their "Request a Refund" form and asked for my credit card to be refunded.
A day went by, then two. On their boilerplate it says they answer in one to two days. Three days went by and I emailed them again--still friendly. After a week I was upset. I called my credit card co and put the transaction in suspense awaiting the credit. That was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't had a return email from Handango.
I went on to http://crackberry.com and saw that others had complaints with this co. and nothing good to say about them. How are they still in business with NO customer service and NO replies to customers?
Handango is a crappy outfit that should be avoided by all!"
"I used to use this company quite a bit. I never had problems getting my software until last week. I paid for my application, and then you have two options to get your software. You can have SMS to your phone, OR you can download it to your PC. Well, I am with Sprint, and the SMS never works from a 3rd part company. But, the PC option used to always work and that's how I get my software. Well, my last program that I bought errored out, "File Not Available". I tried it at least 30 times, with the same result. I tried their email form for support, and like the other guy above, I never got a response. It has been about a week now, and they don't seem to interested to help me. The only thing I got was an automated email saying, check out or forums??? That is shady business folks, they take your money, and you get nothing in return! That is STEALING in my book. I filled out a refund form, but seriously doubt that that will do nothing. The only thing that concerns me is, they have my credit card info.
July 7th Update: It has now been 3 weeks since I contacted their support numerous times. I even filled out a refund request. AS USUAL, I have not heard from anyone. I paid for a program, and received NOTHING. These people are pathetic, and I will NO LONGER use them.
They do not have any customer support! I would stay away from this company, they will rip you off as they did me.

"I purchased Mobile Satellite Radio by MobileLink. I tried the app. on two different windows 6.1 phones but it did not work. On January 20 I requested a refund. Since then the customer care representative Raj Kumar keep sending me the same e-mail stating that he will contacts the developer without intention to proceed with the refund. In the past I purchased several applications from this site but never had problems and never requested a refund. Since January 29 I don't have any response from them . I would not recommend this site. "
"Handango's automated customer trouble ticket system helps track and resolve order and product problems. Still prefer ability to talk to someone, but follow up from Handango was timely and when product problem was not corrected refund was provided."
"I purchased two copies of MSDict; one for my Blackberry & one for my spouse's Blackberry. The software downloaded, installed, and was unlocked without difficulty. However, two days later, when I went to backup both Blackberries, the backup hung at RMS Database, and I had to perform a hard reset on both devices to unfreeze them. Prior to installing MSDict, backup had worked fine. So, I uninstalled MSDict, and I was able to backup both devices with no problem. I then re-installed MSDict, and both Blackberries hung again at RMS Database during backup. Once again, I had to perform a hard reset on both devices. At this point, it was obvious that MSDict was the culprit of our woes. So, I permanently uninstalled the software from both devices, as well as from my computer. I then requested a refund for both orders, which came out to a total of $59.98. I didn't receive a response from Handango until 9 days after my initial correspondence, and rather than issue me a refund, they informed me that they had contacted the developer, and that the developer would contact me directly. I responded back that I was not interested in dealing with the developer, as there was no way I was putting MSDict back on our devices, as there's an obvious issue with the software. So, once again, I instructed Handango to credit my credit card $59.98. That was four days ago, and I just received an email that simply showed the status of both Return Requests as "Solved". No response from them, no elaboration... The Return Requests most certainly aren't "Solved", as Handango has NOT credited my credit card. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau on Monday, and I will also be contacting my bank to reverse both charges. Stay far, far away from this company, as they are disreputable, but they're in for a rude awakening if they think they're going to cheat me out of $60!"
"Horrible Customer Service. I ordered something for my blackberry and could not get it to work. I emailed then for help since you have to pay to call for help. I never heard back even though they state within 24 hrs they will respond. I then proceeded to ask for a refund and again, never heard back. I would never order from them again and would not recommend them AT ALL!!!"
"I ordered "MyCast Weather" from Handango in May 2009. The application downloaded OK but the unlock code didn't work. I contacted Handango via customer support email. It was 10 days until I even got any acknowledgement of receipt of my request for assistance. Meanwhile, I contacted Garmin, the originator of the program. Garmin immediately provided the correct unlock code which permitted me to use the program. Garmin also told me that for quite some time they had been in contact with Handango to get them to issue the proper unlock codes, but they had not complied, and that they were still trying to get them to comply. (Handango provided a 5-digit unlock code where a 12-digit unlock code was required). I just recently ordered a BAKup program for Blackberry from Handango. Again this unlock code doesn't work and I've been waiting three days for any type response from them. That will be my last order to Handango - - based on poor customer service and inablility to work with the originator of a program to comply with their requirements to issue appropriate unlock codes. I will update this writing if/when I ever hear from Handango. UPDATE: 10 days and no response from Handango. The internet indicated phone numbers for Handango have been disconnected, including their fax number."
"Buyer Beware. They are a great shop unless you run into a problem.
I bought four applications. Two of them were upgrades from apps I used years ago on an old PPC. The two that didn't work didn't have trials, but I had faith in Handango's service. I was wrong. I have not had any response from them since I sent a help request hours after my purchase. I have received no communication from them at all, and their site shows no way to contact them except through snail mail, or their online support form."
"I have purchased several items and the experience was OK. I even obtained a refund without too much difficulty. The basis for my purchases were mostly influenced by the "customer reviews". None of the purchases came close to having the virtues extolled by the reviews. On my last purchase the item was simply very bad hence I posted a negative review. Well guess what? that review never showed up. It would appear that they only post positive reviews and now I even suspect they may be "manufactured" or posted by those that have vested interest. Furthermore some software that are billed as new and/or improved have no reviews that are less than two years old. As an example look up ascendo photo and notice the last review is dated June 13, 2007."
"I bought the Funk and Wagnalls humanities encyclopedia for Palm. The .prc never installs in any of my Palm devices. Technical support, from Handango (and Mobifusion) is laughable -- I don't think they are even trying. I will never buy from Handango again."
"Handango wouldn't allow you post a review with a poor rating. They have such a long list of restriction in writing a review, your review wouldnot be posted if you are not a happy patients. Do not turst the reviews on their web site. I would not recommend to shop there either."
"I have recently discovered how un-competitively high Handango's product pricing is. You can usually find lower pricing on the same products if purchased directly from the software developer's own website. Even Handango's number one competitor (PocketGear.com) consistantly offers lower pricing.
On top of the high prices, Handango charges an optional fee called "Download Protection" with every purchase. This so-called "service" allows you to re-download your purchased products at a later date for up to 1 year. This service is provided by Handango's competitors (PocketGear.com and others) at no charge to the customer and is not time limited.
For the 2 reasons stated above I feel that Handango's policy is to nickel-and-dime it's customers to death.
Handango has also been known to treat it's developers poorly. Do a google search on "Omnisoft" or "John Cody" to know what I mean.
I will no longer do business with this horribly unethical vendor.

"Please do not shop at this site, they are terrible with customer support and steal from their developers. I am not a developer for Handango.com but I wanted to share how they treat them.
Summary: Handango, probably the largest online mobile software store, has abruptly closed John Cody's account for no stated reason, thus making it impossible to honor a raffle prize that he won from them last year.
Please check out http://www.omnisoft.com/articles/handango/default.asp or http://msmobiles.com/news.php/5692.html."
"It was very easy. Handango is a good company. I didn't have any problems, I got the products I ordered right away. Handango is the best shareware-reseller I have found."
