"I would like to characterize their customer service as rotten, but it is worse than that.
I purchased a $99.99 application from them for my BlackBerry "Torch". My mistake was I didn't see the part that said it was only for BlackBerry "Storm." Simple mistake. Within an hour I used their "Request a Refund" form and asked for my credit card to be refunded.
A day went by, then two. On their boilerplate it says they answer in one to two days. Three days went by and I emailed them again--still friendly. After a week I was upset. I called my credit card co and put the transaction in suspense awaiting the credit. That was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't had a return email from Handango.
I went on to http://crackberry.com and saw that others had complaints with this co. and nothing good to say about them. How are they still in business with NO customer service and NO replies to customers?
Handango is a crappy outfit that should be avoided by all!"
"I usually go to the brick and mortar CVS pharmacy nearby and never had a problem with them. But I finally got persuaded by a $10 off coupon to place a $50 order with their online store. Not so good...
Although there was nothing I needed immediately from this order, there were several things I would have liked to have within 5 business days. The order says delivery by UPS may take 5 to ten business days.
So when 4 days went by without a ship date, I called their friendly c/s person. They were very relaxed and nice and told me that my package should be delivered somewhere in the 10 day window. I told them I thought their process was a little too relaxed for an Internet operation and I felt it should have been shipped within 2 days, maybe 3, but not 4!
I don't have this order yet but there are still about 3 days left in the 10 day maximum delivery time.
I will say my main complaint is that my expectations were not met and they have a very relaxed, layed-down attitude about their business. I won't order anything online again but I will still go to their store. I have been spoiled by Amazon, Zappos, Holabird Sports, and other excellent outfitters that get the product out the door in 24 hours and somethimes, in Zappo's case, have it on my doorstep the next day."
"Super friendly staff rushed out a pair of their Nordic Walking Sticks when I told them I needed them for a weekend walk. The product is beautiful, perfectly balanced with great ergonomic hand grips, and turns a good healthful walking program into a full-body workout with no increase in exertion level. I strongly recommend Exerstrider to anyone interested in Nordic Walking or just walking smarter."
"Service and merchandise to brag about! I ordered around 5PM their time (PST) and had the hard-to-find shoes at 3PM the next day! Out of sight.Free shipping and if I had to return them, which I don't, it was free both ways. I am their customer for life."
"The product was cheaper than anywhere else on the Internet. The shipping was free. They had a friendly voice on the phone. The product was delivered in three days. No hassle, great service, best price. What more can I say?
I see that some people had negative experiences and that had me worried. I can strongly recommend WirelessGround.com to anyone, but would recommend you call them on the phone and check inventory status before placing your order online."
"I have purchased items from Buy.com on several occasions and have had no problems. My most recent order was about 45 days back for a MAXTOR 1 Touch III hard drive and a Norton Ghost backup program (still waiting for my $50 rebate to arrive).
The transaction was normal with no problems. I have never had to call the CSR department and, after reading some of the experiences here on Resellers forum, I will be careful not to place an order on anything too expensive with them.
Additionally they need to change their return policy from a deplorable 14 days including delivery time to a moderately acceptable 30 days from day of receipt before I will have much confidence in them in the future."
"Fast, fresh, and clean. I ordered a set of Sennheiser Headphones (RS 120) and they had the best price + free shipping.
No problems and the price is usually right. I am always happy with my orders to JR.com."
"Most amazing electronics store I have ever seen! It has 'one of everything' and everthing in the July 4th sale ad was in stock, priced as advertised. They printed rebate coupons complete with necessary rebate receipts at the checkout. These folks have got it together in every way. I hope they stay this focused...we expect to buy a plasma screen from them soon."

"After cancelling my order at Alienware (see my review at Alienware) I ordered an XPS 600 from Dell. It will be my third purchase from Dell. I had and Inspiron laptop that gave good service even though it had a keyboard issue that Dell never fixed properly. And I have a Dimension 8200 purchased from the Dell refurbished store online in May or June of 2002--obviously getting a little close to its use-by date.
I like Dell's online order service. It is an easy interface and allows the buyer to select or deselect any number of components to tailor a computer to his needs now, and hopefully offer expandability for the future.
I had no problem putting together my 'dream' computer, and was given a delivery date about 10 business days later which was fine.
About 6 business days later, the computer order number was cancelled and reentered as a new number. This did not disappoint me as I hope if anything goes wrong on the diagnostic table they scrap the computer there instead of sending it to me.
The second order number is now in production, has been for 3 days, and they gave me an un-requested upgrade to overnight delivery...my (new) computer will still be delivered within the original forecast!
That's where it sits this Friday (3/24) at noon. I hope to come back with a followup by the end of next week with my new XPS 600 quietly purring on my desktop!
April 6---My new Dell arrived in perfect condition on April 3...three days early. I had changed the order one time and that changed the delivery date to April 5-7...but it came in on April 3.
It is a beauty. It purrs, it flys, it is everything I wanted and more.
I am sure most of the unhappy folks post their critiques in resellerratings.com. I also think most happy people go their own way and don't post anything.
I have been totally thrilled with all of my purchases--3 computers--from Dell and the prices have always been more than competitive. Sure there are little bitches here and there, but when you spend $3,500.00 on a new box you want to trust the manufacturer. I trusted Dell and I recommend them to anyone.
And gamers? You will burn ass with the XPS 600! Guaranteed."

"I ordered an Area 51 5500 desktop from them online on Sunday, read some of the scary scenarios in here on Monday, and cancelled on Tuesday. I never got a verification email, which seems to be a business shortcoming of theirs. Their sales help was friendly, and gave me no problems when I cancelled my AmEx card authorization--but the computer was only at Phase 3--money approved.
Thanks to all of the useful comments in Reseller Ratings. I have owned three Dells--two laps and a refurbished desktop--and only had a keyboard problem on one of the Laptops...which Dell never could fix properly. In spite of that I went back to their website today and ordered an XPS 600 loaded to the gills, with a 24" Digital Flat panel and WIN Media Ctr 2005, and still paid less than Alien Nation, even tho I had to pay sales tax.
I can't comment on anything about Alienware since my only experience was a cancellation...which went quite easily."
