"Harriet Carter is one of the worst companies that I've ever purchased from. I got their catalogue and saw the item. The price was reasonable so I figured I would order. I thought it would be quicker to order online and this company is reputable so I would go ahead. Boy was I wrong.
I live in NY and they're in PA so shipping time should be less than a week. After about two weeks without receiving anything I called them about the status of my order because they wasted no time charging my credit card. When I called and asked if my item had been shipped, the customer service person claimed that she didn't know. What??? This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. After a few choice words from me, low and behold, my item arrived the next day.
It was like they were sitting on the order and I had to call to get them to ship it. Not to mention when I received the product, it was missing an accessory. Sending it back would be too much of a hassle so I didn't bother. Plus they are super slow so who knows how long it would've taken for them to send a replacement.

DON'T BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! They are the worst.

"I ordered several items from them at once and it took a very long time for them to ship the order. One of the items was backordered and it took months to arrive. Items were fine and low priced but they really need to improve their shipping speed or they will lose a lot of customers."

"Was very dissatisfied with their service. I ordered two different items - one for a gift - and received email confirmation that the order had been shipped. So far, so good. Received incomplete order, invoice stated that one item had been back-ordered. Took almost 2 months to receive it. They communicate poorly and seem not to care about satisfying customers,"
