"Love Helzberg. Won't purchase from another jewelry store."
"My fiancée went to Helzberg to purchase my engagement ring. He didn't find a ring that I would absolutely love so he picked a diamond and a platinum band with diamonds and had them sent in to be made into one ring. They told him three weeks and the ring would be back. Three weeks came and went, and they wanted to give him the run around that it wasn't a guaranteed date but an estimated date. Well than don't tell customers it will be back on or before this date if it is an estimate. They said multiple times that they would contact the jeweler and get an update. No update. The ring finally arrived he noticed that the prongs on the ring were way bigger than what he originally picked out and asked why these were changed, they explained that it was because the diamond was too big of the original prongs. He was NEVER explained this or notified before changing the ring. They explained they could send it back and put the original prongs back on it if that's what he wanted. He's like I'll let her decide. 5 days after having the ring the band and prong were turning yellow. So back to the jewelers they looked at it and realized that the jeweler sodered white gold prongs onto the platinum band. They said they would send it back in and have it redone correctly. They expedited the ring, and it was back a week later. Less than 5 days later the band started to turn yellow again. Back to the jewelry store they looked at the ring and said it still wasn't done correctly that they were going to send it back in again. They said they have escalated emails up to corporate and higher managers at my location, but I have yet to hear from anyone. Hopefully they said this time will be done correctly. This is the second time they said the exact same thing. So, at this point the jeweler has had the ring for longer than my fiancée. Super frustrated with my experience and I wouldn't purchase here again. With the amount of money spent it should have been done properly the first time. I have received nothing but excuses. An experience that should have been great has been anything but. When it come to our wedding bands, I will be purchasing elsewhere to avoid any issues that I have currently had to deal with. Also, as of now I currently still don't have possession of the ring."
"I am a first time buyer at Helzberg and first reaction when I stepped in, the lady greeted me and we looked at earrings I had told her what price range I was looking at. She said in that price range the earrings over here. Then she passes me to another lady, I guess I was too cheap for her but still a customer. The other lady was nice and patient with me. I had a coupon for first time buyers $50 off and they said can't honor it, would be one or the other discount but that is not what it said when receiving the coupon. I purchased a anniversary band and 1/4 ct princess cut earrings. Total was $1100. I had the ring re sized to a 6 1/2 and they charged me $60 for that, I thought that was a rip off. So took the earrings home and the ring stayed until a few weeks. Today I go into Walmart to get some stuff, I browse over to their jewelry section and noticed same ct earrings for like $198 and also much prettier. All I can think of is what a rip off and that I should've looked around before making a purchase like that. I am regretting it so much. First impression of Helzburg was their jewelry was not that impressive and not enough selection. If you go to see they have like a small section of anniversary bands. Overall bad impression and experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone. "
"I went to get my ring cleaned just a few days before getting married and during the cleaning process they dislodged a gem and dropped it on the floor. They were unable to find it and told me I had to wait until Monday for it to get fixed. I came back on Monday and they replaced the gem with a different colored stone and it did not fit the the previous hole it was in. Since the new gem was much smaller they tried to fill it in by pinching the metal together and it just looks awful and scratched up. They were very unapologetic the whole time and stated there was nothing else they could do. Very disappointed and upset that it now looks completely different and they completely botched the job! "
"These people have made what should be a wonderful new chapter for me and my husband a TOTAL NIGHTMARE. DO NOT BUY FROM HELZBERG DIAMONDS!!! BE WARNED! They don't care about you. My husband bought me my $4500 engagement ring/wedding set back in March of 2021 and he has paid his bill ON TIME every month like clockwork... NEVER missed a payment. He almost had it paid completely off and then they hit him with over $1000 worth of interest because he didnt pay off the ring within 6 months. Thats right! They billed him 6 MONTHS worth of interest!!! We were HIGHLY upset because up until that point he was paying DOUBLE the minimum amount. And NONE of the mattered. We called customer service trying to explain to us how they operated and they are some of the rudest, incompetent, most apathetic people weve EVER spoken to! They had such a "too bad so sad, now give us our money" attitude that we became irate with them. Regardless, we just took the L and started paying down the ring again.
Once again, he makes his payments ON TIME, and without fail and he almost had the ring paid off a second time and then my husband misplaced his account info and was late making his 17th payment for the FIRST time EVER, does Helzberg give us a grace period? No! He locates his information to log into his account and sees that they are charging him a DAILY $27 a day late fee PLUS and interest fee of $24!!! It skyrocketed the balance due back up to over $800 when he had it down to $300. Like, seriously Helzberg? Who does that?!
Thank GOD we recently came into some money and are just going to go ahead and pay the whole balance off because if it werent for that, wed probably be paying that bill well into our golden years! Helzberg banks through GENESIS FINANCIAL and its literally like selling your soul to Satan himself. Theres no flexibility, there's no grace, theres not even any consistency!!! He was told that he owed an entirely different amount in an email that THEY sent him than what showed up on their website. They dont care about the customers they care about how much money they can **** out of you.
They need to change these ludacris policies because they wont retain customers! Between the inconsistent billing statements, the rude condescending customer service people, and the overall egregious way that they try to **** you dry of your money with ridiculous late fees and interest fees they have lost a customer FOR LIFE!! I will NEVER, EVER in ALL my years of breathing EVER make the rookie mistake of shopping here again. My mortgage company is more forgiving than these relentless vultures and people like this DISGUST me! Anyone one who comes across this review and thinks im being dramatic or over exaggerating, I implore you to read the other reviews!! I am NOT the only one who Helzberg and Genesis Financial has swindled out of thier money!
My husband and I had to compromise if we were going to pay our mortgage or this stupid little ring because of their GREED! Theyre like a bad cold that you cant get rid of! But then again, I guess i shouldnt expect anything less from a company thats owned by Warren Buffet!
Reader, take this review as well as many other reviews like this as fair WARNING. If you do do business with them, you better make sure that youre i's are dotted and your t's are crossed, because one mistake and youll be paying these people for YEARS to come.
Helzberg, Genesis Financial, and Warren Buffet... Get your sh*t together.

"Order Movado watch as a gift. They sent a broken watch, had to return. For 2 weeks and multiple calls to process. Upon another call, I was told they accidentally sent a refund instead of shipping another item and the refund can take up to 30 days. This company is such a rip off."
"Had the ring for 4 months a diamond falls out, send it back to get repaired. Got the ring back and another diamond falls out, send it back and no one can give me an answer.i should be reimbursed for all the bull*^+t.havent even had it a year.this place is a ripoff"
"Bought a 5000$ ring for my wife, the diamond fell out. Too bad they said, we will put another one in for 800$. Went to pick up the ring and what do you know, not 800$ but 1000..... Liars and thieves selling junk... I called the Corporate office and told this story in much greater detail to a woman. She said she was writing it all down and turning my complaint over to somebody.... It's been years now and still waiting for any response at all from Helzberg........ This company is owned by Warren Buffet...... I guess we know how he got rich......."
"I took my diamond ring in to get repairs done & appraised. My repairs total $454.59 plus the appraisal fee. I asked what was the warranty on the repairs that was done. The rep. told me as long as I brought the ring in for inspection it was a lifetime warranty. I remember saying oh great. I took ring into The Broadway store on 8/20 the rep. Told me due to covid no inspection would be done. She stated I will mark your card. (Which I still have) on 10/21/21 I took my ring to Stonebriar store because I notice a diamond was missing which was why the ring was repaired in the first place. This is when I find out my ring was not warranted. I began to explain to this store rep. What I was told she advised me to call customer service. I called explained to a young lady by name of Christy #5218396. She tells me she will need to call store who repaired the ring to see what they have to say. I was like really you think they will remember our conversation. To this day I have heard nothing from her. The store manager from Broadway called did all his apologies for me being told the wrong information. My question to him was had it not been covid19 my ring would have been checked this may have been prevented. And due to your rep. Telling my ring was lifetime warranty I was ok with the reschedule inspection. No one seem to understand my point. Supervisor ask for me to send pic of card so he could see it. I sent the card with his store #112 on it and initials of rep. JH. All he continued to do was say I am sorry. I have spent good money at this place, no one wants to take blame for the lie I was told. I dont want the lifetime warranty, at least the company can pay the 129.00 I am being charged to get my ring fixed. I am very upset with this suppose to be 5 star company. I will never do any business with this company again. "
"I went in and met with Andy Simms and believed everything I was told - namely, that if my spouse didn't like the ring and setting I had purchased, they would refund me in full. In short, nothing could have been further from the truth - but they did offer to put me in touch with a "reputable diamond consignment store." Thank goodness for that!
I'll never step foot back in their establishment and anyone thinking of purchasing a ring should consider another store. Very bad taste in my mouth, still."
"I purchased a ring on the 9 th of April. I didn’t get it until the 19th. It’s not what my fiancée wanted but I can’t return it because it’s too late according to Helzberg customer service. Apparently your stones begin to depreciate after 30 days. I would have thought better of your company."
"Seller was nice but when chain broke they refused to fix it and said i have to pay for it since it was more than 30 days. How could i get to them when America was on a stay at home order and Helzberg was not a nessary business. How is that fair? Dont waste your money"
"Rated somewhat satisfied due to Helzberg handling there store closures very poorly. Our local location in CT is closing. We were never notified. We found out when I called to have my jewelry inspected for warranty purposes. We were told to contact customer care who were horrible and not personable or knowledgeable. Each one (yes I had to call several times to get close to any type of guidance for future warranty inspections) sounded like they just woke up. Had such great experiences with our local location and the employees. Absolutely horrible experiences when they decided to close many of their locations. We are now being told we have to visit our closest location of over 50 miles away OR ship our jewelry (engagement and wedding rings included) via UPS to a facility to be serviced. This is not only unsecured and unreliable, but not one Helzerberg representative (local or customer care) made me feel any type of confident I would ever see my jewelry again when I ship it. Not to mention, we are being told our lifetime warranty cannot be honored at any other jewelry location. Reasoning for my review is to make future customers interested in Helzberg purchases aware to be a bit smarter and make your sentimental jewelry purchases at a much bigger jeweler chain than those like Helzberg Diamonds who actually have partner (sister) stores OR have common sense to contract with another local jeweler chain for servicing their Helzberg customers accounts/purchases. Very unfortunate situation made out to be a nightmare and lesson for customers. What a mess!"
"Ordered two name plate necklaces for my daughters, they both arrived tangled and knotted I’ve never seen anything like this!!!!! Waited forever now my kids will be without their Christmas gift I’m beyond ****! Never again I will be going higher up how the hell do you send tangled jewelry!!!!!"
"I have multiple rings from Helzberg, but after the experience I recently had with my wedding ring, I will not be returning to them for anymore and I will also not be recommending my friends/family there. I will be steering them elsewhere. I sent my ring in to get it sized down and to get the stone replaced that had fallen out. Due to COVID and the birth of my son, I missed a cleaning. This was totally on me and I expected to have to pay after I learned that I was behind on a cleaning. Although, I would like to add that it is the 21st century and them not logging cleanings on anything except paper is a little absurd. Pen does fade whereas a computer log of cleanings is stored for as long as needed. But I digress, what I did not expect was to turn my ring in during the middle of August for the repair/sizing and to not hear anything from Helzberg all the way into October. With no contact from them, I finally contacted them at which point they acted like they did not know anything about the ring. The lady had to call me back with information. She then told me they would have to call back after they heard from the repair place about the ring. Why they had no information about the repair after over 6 weeks of time to work on it is beyond me. They call back later with a very high diamond replacement price. I ask them to find a cheaper one. They eventually find me one for $300 so I tell them I will speak with my husband. I call back after speaking with him and ask the guy to relay to the girl to go ahead and replace it for the 300. A few days later I still have not heard on a time frame for the repair, shocker, so I call the store again. The lady tells me she has not gotten the message, but now that she has she will have the jeweler start the repair...midway into October. Long story short, if you want to chase down your ring you paid for and pay for repairs after chasing them down go ahead and shop Helzberg. If you want someone who will call you and keep you informed about your expensive wedding ring or someone who will get it back to you in under two months, I highly suggest going elsewhere. I will update with date of wedding ring return and repair review when I receive it back as I still do not have it back on my finger. "
"Wow! The quality of service from a reputable company was disgusting. I ordered a wedding band for my fiancé online due to covid on May 24. Our wedding was a destination wedding on July 23. Upon returning home I tried to exchange the wedding band since it was too big. We went into the local store since they were open again and was told we could only return online orders online. At the store they measured my now husbands finger to provide the correct size for the exchange. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service. They would not return the ring since it was 1 day past the 60 day window. Despite having gone in person to exhange within the time frame. Customer service continued stating they have a 30 day return policy l which is incorrect since the receipt of purchase states 60 days unless it is a watch which is then 30 days. Not to mention the ring that I purchased went up in price and they could do nothing to honor the rate of purchase. Now I have to wait 48 hours to hear back. DO NOT WASTE your time here. They lie. The only rings that can be returned are a mans size 10 or womens 7. No where was that mentioned when ordering online!"
