"I cannot thank the staff enough. They saved my day today in the middle of my Christmas sessions. I came in panicking because my camera broke. The quick and incredible service they gave me set my mind at ease. (Trust me, I was in pure breakdown mode.) Sheri went above and beyond my expectations to get me back to work quickly. I cannot say enough good things about her and the staff there. I've been a customer at Henrys for many years and they continue to WOW me with their service, advice and knowledge. No better store in my opinion. Thank you!!!!!"
"I rang Henry's on Bank St, Ottawa in advance to check they would be able to take ID photos to the specific requirements that I had for an Immigration question. Assured me several times that they did. Took time out of my busy morning to go over there to only find that they were not able to do the ID photos I needed. The member of staff I dealt with looked at me like something that had been dragged in to the store on the sole of a shoe. Looked at my paperwork, pushed it back at me and said "we don't do these". No apology, no offer of assistance or suggestions to try other businesses.
Sorry, as a professional photographer, I will never use Henry's for any future purchases, whether camera bodies, lenses or accessories. Terrible experience."
"1. The location was not updated from oakville to Dundas
2. Went there at Dundas and try to pick up Polaroid film and 1 person told me she’s with a customer and just get it myself.( although the customer she’s assisting still thinking and looking at a camera). I looked and found the film and no one will help me to pay it. I think there were at least 4 or 5 customer service around but all are trying to assist a customer looking for a camera. Most customer are still just looking and yet no customer service to assist me. I figured out that your customer service are on commission and scared to leave a customer looking for a camera bec anyone can **** that customer from them and me just buying a $29.99 amount, no interest to help me. Any way after at least 20 mins inside the store I left not buying the film and I noticed no one cares. I will never suggest or recommend Henry on anything either camera or accessories. Worst customer service ."
"I've just recently gotten into photography, so I've been acquiring new equipment for the past several months. Although I wasn't loyal to any particular vendor at first, and purchased a number of items from Amazon, I have become a loyal customer to Henry's on Wellington Road in London, ON. The staff all know me by name, have been very patient with answering my questions and guiding me in the right direction in terms of purchases, and they match prices found on Amazon. I like the personalized service from a staff who sincerely seem to care about my satisfaction."
"They will process your credit card payment even though your billing address doesn't match credit card's billing address. It can be taken advantage of by hackers and scammers. They also deliver packages without signature so anyone can take your package and you have no way of proving it."
"Ordered a lens on sale @ $200. Waited 10 days then called to ask why it hadn't shipped. Was told it was on back order and would be about 3 months. Cancelled my order, then saw the product updated the same day to $260 and "ships within 7-14 days". Shady"
"I wanted to purchase 4 GoPro Hero 4s and was told by friends and family to buy from Henry's as they are specialized in the field of video and photography. As I made my way through traffic and arrived at their London ON north location, I found the store closed. Unfortunately the store closes at 6PM despite being located in a shopping mall where all other National account stores closing time is 9PM.
I made my way across the road to Best Buy and executed my purchase. As a result, I will not ever consider Henry's as a retail option.

I bought a camera as a gift for my wife. I went in with the idea of spending about 300 for a pocket sized camera (nothing fancy) for her to carry with her all the time. I was talked up to a $500 camera which seemed okay at the time, and it was a little bigger. The bigger camera did not go over great with my wife since she wanted something smaller. This camera never left the house and was only handled a couple of times before wrapping it up and putting it back in it's original packaging. When I returned to the store to return it they would not return it for me saying immediately it had a slight scratch on the front. First off it was not a scratch (more of a dust scuff) and second it must of been there before since like i said it was only handled a couple of times. The customer rep at the store stated that they check their cameras before they leave the store. I stated that the box wasn't even opened at the time of purchase, they then recanted and said they are checked when they come into the store. This means they open every product, check it and then wrap it up perfectly like from the factory. They offered to return it with a 20% restocking fee (actually what this is is buying back their unused products at a cheaper price). I kept the camera out of principle, did not like being cheated. The lesson learned by this is basically do not buy gifts from Henry's for anyone because you can never return it if not liked. Buy your camera somewhere with more respect for their customers like The Source or even Walmart. Henry's - shame on you!

"Henrys customer service stays in 1909 as labelled on their website.
I am very surprised to see such bad online shopping experience nowadays. One purpose of this review is for me to check back a few years later whether this company is still on the market.
I placed an order for a lens yesterday and got an email today to asking for credit card verification. Once I am on the call, the person is kind of questioning me like a fraudulent criminal. After he finally get over the procedure and I said :That is different from other company.(word by word, not one word more and one word less). Before my next sentence, this amazing guy jumped right at me: You are INSULTING us...I will cancel your order.... you have to go to local store to buy.... (see how logical this guy is :-) )
I gave up talking to this guy and told him to transfer to the supervisor. Of course the supervisor was not there. I left a voice mail with a call back number.
5 minutes later, I saw the order status changed to Cancelled on the web site without even calling me back or email.
Up till now I still did not see a cancellation email and I started worry they charged my credit card without proper cancellation.
Good luck with your shopping with them.

"Firstly, this store used to be good, but looks like they made enough profit now and don't need more sales. I ordered a Nikon D610 online, order showed up as authorized within a few minutes on Henry's site, it also showed up on my credit card which i confirmed with my bank. I called next day at 4pm only to find that they were waiting to confirm my credit card details, strange that no one actually called me. I confirmed my details of course and paid extra for priority shipping. The rep asked me to call back for a tracking number as they have no way of emailing my tracking number. When i called back in an hour, good news was Henry's got my money, still no one had any idea when the product would be shipped. I emailed customer care, which said the product was no in stock in the warehouse, so it would be shipped (by regular mail) from Waterloo (to Toronto) and then shipped by priority mail from there. Made no sense to me, as they shouldn't charge me if they don't have stock! If im paying for priority mail, if the item can be shipped straight from Waterloo... so i asked this question" why am i waiting after paying for priority, and why can't you just ship from Waterloo to my address?" and the account manager promptly cancelled my order. However, Simon decided not to refund my money, as of today its been 5 days and Henry's still has my money, for a product they never sold me! I recommend not buying anything online from Henrys, their systems don't talk to each other, employees are unresponsive and clearly callous, and account managers couldn't care less. "
"I ordered a bag that was still in stock (1 item left). Later I noticed that it was cheaper at B&H so I emailed to ask for a cancellation. I got a answer that said it was a special order and it couldn't be refunded. I replied to explain and got a second answer ... the exact same first reply, copy and paste !!!!
Incredibly rude and bad customer support."
"After being treated like a 5-year old who doesn't understand things and being treated like a liar twice by customer service, I decided I don't do business with them anymore..."
"I've ordered many items from Henry's
Mostly backdrops
Good prices and fast shipping"
"I ordered the Sony 70-200 f/2.8 lens from Henrys because they had by far the best price available in Canada. I placed the order Sunday, it shipped Wednesday and arrived Thursday. The lens was factory-sealed, with all accessories in their original packaging. The whole thing was very well-packaged: the manufacturer's box was surrounded in bubble-wrap and then placed in a generously-sized box lined with shredded cardboard -- a practical and environmentally-friendly alternative to styrofoam pellets!
A few days after it arrived, I found a store in Montreal advertising the lens for $150 less. I emailed Henrys and they processed a credit to my card: no hassle, no questions asked.
I would definitely order with them again!"
"Beware of Henry's they will sell you open box items at regular prices. I bought a high-end Canon DSLR camera and when I came home I found out that it was open box because it was missing an accessory, and the plastic wrappers did not come sealed. When I explained that to them in one of the stores, they thought that it was my fault, and would not offer a refund or exchange unless I pay a restocking fee. Crooks!"
