"VERY SATISFIED

Frankly, I was a little on-edge about ordering through a reseller. But since i couldn't have an Asus G55VW built to spec from Asus, I went with HID who could make the modifications I wanted.

HID swapped out the stock hd for a Samsung solid state hd, upgraded the operating system, swapped out and added the RAM of my choice, swapped the wireless card to one by Killer Wireless and removed the optical bay and replaced it with a hard drive caddy for a second SSD to be added in the future when I need it.

The machine arrived very quickly--maybe four business days and was built as ordered.

Support: There were a few driver glitches here and there, which when I first discovered, my heart sank, recalling the awful support experiences I'd had with HP and Dell previously. But contacting HID was straight forward and I was put through a support tech who knows what they're doing. Even when something tricky popped up (a weirdness with the Atheros LAN Ethernet driver functioning properly) HID support remote-accessed in and after a half hour or so had resolved the problem, which was more complicated then just reinstalling a driver. That would have never happened with HP in a million years.

So all in all I have the exact machine and specs that I want and if something goes wrong there's help on the other end of the phone.

I am pleasantly surprised by this company.

I purchased a base Alienware M14x and could not be happier with the service and response. These guys will most definitely be doing my future upgrades (I don't like to switch/buy laptops every two years at all so I keep my boxes for a long time).

They answered all of my questions and emails promptly.

I did read the prior reviews both positive and negative, yet it was the best decision Ive made. Im very happy with my machine and the service.

"Excellent professional knowledgeable service orientated computer business.My computer replacement screen arrived quickly and was very well packaged.

"Order m18xR2 pre-order. Can't be happier!

I was first really hesitant about buying it outside of Europe.
But I must say that I rarely speak to such an relaxing and reasuring support as there!

TED (Yes caps because this guy deserves the best!)

helped me from the beginning till almost the end.
I see no trouble and just went to order a 3000$ custom laptop without a doubt.

And when i had a doubt. I just mailed him and reasured me with how they would make sure it would never happen.

Their prices are extremly low. Ofcourse not much cheaper than the normal dell.com/alienware shop... But they cant go much lower. But they just offer so much more!

Their shipping cost are a bit high.. But ofcourse. What do you expect when it ships such an heavy and costly laptop.

Now i only wait till it is deliverd. But waited a long time for this to appear in the Netherlands.. But since it didn't it appear there I found this amazing special shop!

"Just bought M14x and I ordered a personalized plate , they email me it will be done . But when I received my M14x there is no personalized plate. And after I finished paying them money , I emailed them they won't answer you !!"

"After purchasing and receiving (way fast!) a new Dell laptop that was specially built by Hidevolution, I experienced a problem with the laptop. I found many online user forums and chat-rooms that proved the same problem was being experienced by other new users of Windows7 on other laptops and pcs, but not ones built by Hidevolution. I sent information to Ted and then had an online connection with Vivian (between Vivian and the problematic laptop). It took Vivian a couple of hours to sort out the problem. Tho she admitted she had never seen this particular problem before or heard of it, it still took her only a couple of hours to find the problem and then fix the problem and explain the whole thing to me. Where other folks have been looking at that same problem for months (years?) and have not yet come up with the solution or, worse, come up with various bogus fixes, Vivian, on the other hand, nailed it! And she did it graciously and professionally and with great patience with the laptop and with the processes and with excellent communication with me and my questions. I used to be an IT professional and remember just enough IT stuff to know I needed Vivian .. and just enough to watch her work on the remote connection and know that she knew exactly what she was doing. Can't recommend Ted and Vivian and Hidevolution highly enough. They are honest and professional and knowledgable and gracious way beyond the ordinary."

"Ordered an M17x R4 3D with GTX 680m back in 30 AUGUST 2012...Been looking for an M17x with 120Hz 3D screen with GTX 680m video card and no store has them in stock till end of September...i stumbled upon HIDevolution and suprised that they have it! Great customer service, More options than DELL/Alienware...They were very flexible with payment options and changes I did while my order was processing...Got the laptop quick! Very Happy! "This is my Third order from Hidevolution. So, third order = a very satisfied customer.
I did order my Asus gx800vh from Hidevolution and I must say they are very reliable, accurate and flexible in whichever you would like to customize. As usual Ted was super helpful.

"MORE THAN SATISFIED

i just received my second laptop from them, one was an AW m14x R2 and the other was dv6 CTO, i live in the middle east and i was trying to get a CTO from the US, it was truly a nightmare, but after three years of trying i finally found HID and at last my dream came true, Ted is simply amazing and believe me when im saying this "WORDS CANT EXPRESS HOW HAPPY I AM", for anyone outside the US and wants a to buy a laptop this is your best bet and im saying this out of experience.

"I placed an order of Dell alienware m14x at 1 of June.Payed by Paypal. This laptop was marked as "in stock" with 1-3 day shipping. On the 5 of July I received the letter from paypal service that "Evolution Computers Inc (shipping) has cancelled the shipping label for the reason below:
Postage Destroyed" I wrote three letters asking what it means but i didn't receive any answer. though they answered quickly enough before I payed =). Hope everything will be OK, but sudden silence of technical support not so good sign.

Wrote them using another email and they give me my trecking number very qui?kly. It was shipped at 4th of June and now i keep it in my hands. All is good, and laptop is great.

"It's been five days since I received my new laptop. I would say this is a bad experience of buying laptop from HID evolution. Their customer service sucks, sometimes they did not reply emails for some reason I d never know. I mean, before I made the purchase, they were good at communication, however, after that, they just ignore you. For two times, the only chance I get their replies were after I spoke to the agents via phone, but were these replies useful?? They are just not in time.
For the product, I bought a brand new Asus G75, but the touchpad was already dead before I receive the computer. On the phone, their agents said this was not their fault. But it was a brand new laptop with some minor modifications, how could it be with a broken touchpad on it??? I never used the touchpad to play games!! I called Asus for one hour to do troubleshooting yesterday after the call with your customer service, and nothing was happened with the touchpad. It was hardware problem. I will ship it to Asus, and it will cost me more money, and more importantly, I spent too much time on this shix.
Anyway, that's what I want to say to HID evolution, whether they can see it or not, I would share this online and let more ppl know.

They told me to call them so that they can help; however, no one answered the phone. I have to leave the feedback without choice because I at least spend two days on solving this problem and wait to see if I could get some helps from them. I was disappointed that they told me to go to Asus for help. Okay, I am shipping the laptop to Asus by using warranty, and now they come back to me said they will make sure to help me. What is this?? Who could be that irresponsible of their customers? I quit, I mean I am not professional and I cannot disassemble the laptop and take the risk to make it even messed up.

I do not want to push people, but I do not want anyone to push me neither. If they could keep a good communication with their customers but not to avoid helping people at first time, I would not be this mad even I have got a laptop with broken touchpad.

Now, I need to use the warranty to fix a BRAND NEW laptop.

"I placed my order for a customized ASUS G75VW gaming laptop on May 3. At the time, the product was listed as "in stock." Their customer service page mentioned that in-stock items are generally processed and shipped out within 1-3 business days. I gave it a week (ok 6 days), but my order status was still "processing." So I gave them call to receive an order status update and was told by a helpful representative that they have not yet received the laptops from ASUS but they expected them the following week and would ship out soon, i.e. the product was never in stock. Since then, the product page has been changed to "preorder" instead of "in stock." Obviously, I'm disappointed, but as of May 16, I'm still waiting on the machine, or at least an order update: it's still "processing." I'm still really looking forward to this product.

I was hoping to get this in time for Diablo III's release on May 15. This didn't work out.

May 19 Update: Still no update. Noticed the ETA on the product page has been pushed further to May 22. This is terrible. I should have ordered from http://www.xoticpc.com. They have the product IN STOCK, and the same config would have been about $100 cheaper PLUS free shipping. They also sport better reviews off this site... I should have done a better job looking into merchants.

May 22 Update: Still no update. Credit card charged 3 weeks ago, and still no progress or update as of today. The product page still says "ETA May 22." Oh hey, that's today. I wholly expect some sort of discount and some free upgrade to overnight shipping for this ordeal. A three-day weekend is coming up and it would then be a travesty to not get to enjoy an epic gaming laptop I expected over 2 weeks ago.

May 23 Update: Finally got an email that it shipped, due this week such that I only miss out on 1 day of the upcoming 3-day weekend. Now I just hope that it actually arrives and then that the product is without issues so I don't have to deal with this company ever again.

"Disappointed. I ordered an ASUS G75 Laptop from their web site, because they describe the product "In Stock". After 5 business days waiting to receive a confirmation of shipping (their policy says that for "In Stock" products, shipping day is from 2 to 4 business days), I opened a ticket to ask about the status. They told me that they didn't have the stock and were waiting for Asus to deliver them! I feel cheated. Why they said they have the product "In Stock", when they don't? They ought to describe the product as "Coming Soon", "Out of stock" or anything else, so people know before placing the order. Additionally, they really rush to charge my credit card, and I still don't know when I will receive my order. They ought to charge the amount only when the product is ready to ship. Even still today, the product shows as "In Stock", and is a lie. I should have ordered from another site that publish true information."

"Pros:
Fast response to a question i had about the CPU/RAM.
Excellent paste job, this greatly influences the performance.
Low price.
Fast delivery.

Cons:
Forgot to add the power adapter for European plugs.
Did not get the personalized nameplate but that was most likely because the R3 (my order) was replaced by the R4 before the payment was transferred.
