"Ordered a charger, some batteries and some other small things from Hobby King. Their prices for lipo's are great obviously and compared to buying them in my own country this saved me at least 100 euro's. Took a while to ship my order so I e-mailed them and they said they needed additional proof of my creditcard, so I sent a picture of the last few digits of my card and my name visible and the order shipped. Was able to track it nicely and then my order just showed up all of a sudden. Everything in perfect order and they even added a cool plastic Turnigy sticker. In all I think it took a little less than a month to get it to my doorstep, but I wasn't expecting anything better so it was fine. Would order again from them. Though I'm aware of the risk of needing to deal with dustomer service if something is wrong, but that's calculated into my decisions."
"After 10 days, no shipping update on just simple items. They said it was due to something with a factory/warehouse in China, and had no idea when it would be shipped. My account was never updated with this information either, I had to wait for several tries to connect with support chat.
Now they say it will take 4-6 weeks to get my refund, after I canceled the order. That's ridiculous.
I should have checked out resellerratings before buying from this vendor."
"I have ordered a bunch of items from Hobby King. You get fantastic deals on Lipo batteries. Also ordered a battery charger and a few battery monitoring systems and other small stuff. Yes, their shipping is painfully slow. To avoid frustration just assume it will take around a month until you get the stuff. I don't think I will ever buy something expensive from them, they tend to not sell spares or are out of stock of things a lot and customer service is nothing to brag about. But when you can buy a Lipo battery for $15 which would cost $90 somewhere else, and the battery is just as good as the expensive version, it's worth putting up with the wait."
"THE GOOD: I did a lot of research on where to buy my solo pro rc helicopter and found HK to be the cheapest by far. I ordered the copter from the U.S.A. warehouse on a Friday morning and it was at the house on the next Monday for only $4 shipping!!! It works perfectly!
THE BAD: I wanted to order some spare parts and batteries at the same time, but the copter was only in the U.S.A. warehouse and all parts were in the China warehouse. Therefore I had to place 2 orders and pay shipping twice. It has been almost a week and the order has yet to be shipped. Also, the shipping time frame is long, could take a month to get here from china.
THE UGLY: Live online chat with a representative is completely pointless. none of them tell you the same thing, and their explanation for the delay is that their order volume is very high. I don't care about your problems, send my order.
VERDICT: If you are on a time crunch, don't order from China. If you have the time though, their prices can't be beat."

"I have been sourcing RC stuff from Hobby King for over a year now, with no problems. These people are in China, so expect the mail times to be a bit longer than something ordered from the States, but that is to be expected. You cannot really beat them on price."
"I too have been ordering from them for almost 2 yaers off and on and I too have had received some defective parts right out of the box. That has happened to me with other vendors as well. Their real problem is indeed their lack of meaningful and satisfying customer service. It did take over a month to get a defective battery issue resolved and it was indeed a difficult and frustrating task. I still have 2 receivers that were defective upon initial receipt that they have not replaced and are certainly still resisting doing that. So, customer service is their real and serious problem which I'm sad to say, is not likely to change. I have mostly enjoyed the products I have purchased from them but I must now look elsewhere."

"Bought some items from Hobby King for my sons rc car. After weeks the parts finally arrived and were found to be faulty. A further £9 to return to Hobby King for inspection. After constantly chasing the status of the return was told they were faulty and I could have a replacement or credit - not the refund I requested. Money refunded on 29th Oct after having to esculate a paypal claim. My advice is dont use Hobby King or if you do make sure you pay by paypal so you have some security on a charge back. Still out of pocket £9 as they will not refund return postage."

"I purchased a plane from these scammers. I paid $90+ dollars to ship it to the USA and it wasn't here in the alloted time. I have spent numerous times on Chat for a product I still haven't received. They blame it on Hong Kong post and state they would send me an e-mail with updates and check with Hong Kong post. I have never received a single e-mail. Back to Chat I go. I then see that the warehouse ships another plane 7 days after the initial order. They never shipped the initial order!
I asked for a partial refund or credit and that fell on deaf ears. It's now been 13 days since the initial order and still no package. Do as the others say and buy from someone else. Stay away from this company unless you want a major headache."
"I bought a Monster Mustang P.51 1.55m from HobbyKing.It came in a little over two weeks, not to bad. When I went to put it together I seen there were no control horns. I looked at the instuctions and they didn't even show them. They wanted me to take a pitcher of the missing items and circle them.How can you take a pitcher of something you don't have. Bottom line is, don't buy from HK buy from Hobby Lobby. You won't be sorry."
