"I went online during the holidays to look for a Christmas gift for my brother. He likes building Gundam models so not knowing where to buy them I naturally looked up hobby websites.
This is how I came across Hobbylinc.com and after looking at what they offer on their site I instantly realized that their prices for model rockets and model rocket engines were quite low compared to other hobby websites.
So I told another of my brothers about the site and together we decided to give it a try.
Although our order was delayed, due to the snow storms, we can both say that we are happy we ordered from hobbylinc.com

"What an awful company to deal with when you receive a defective product! First no response to my complaint, then a informal notice regarding the return policy, then no further communication. A defective airbrush kit that cost about $20 bucks, I was not about to spend $20 more to return it via ups, I would have expected a credit or for hobbylinc to replace it with one that worked. Well if I were you NEVER use them as you might as well talk to a Blake hole, complaints go in but nothing comes out, not even hope. The last thing anyone needs these days is a business that pushes customer service off to the side figuring who really cares, well I do and I spend a lot of money amusing myself with hobbies. Unfortuneatly hobbylinc will ignore you and you will probably feel the same way I do. It is VERY MUCH worth my time to a) deal with a biz that is responsive, b) can have the sack to fix things that they send that do not work. C) appreciate the customer they have and try a little bit to keep them happy. So, don't buy from these idiots, if you get something that is broken, good luck trying to contact some that gives a rats behind. I eo not believe they really care about losing one small customer, but you know something, it speaks a lot to realize quickly that hobbylinc really does not give a crap. "
"I was missing 2 items from my shipment and I wrote to their customer support. Turns out the description on their site was incorrect - as I found out later due to manufacturer information. They kindly offered to pay for return and refund. I decided to keep the product since it was not worth the time. I think this might happen to any retailer the important thing is how they handled the situation. Thank you !

"Due to a very competitive price for the product I needed, I decided to buy from this store despite high shipping costs. They still beat other online stores despite the shipping. I got the initial order confirmation e-mail moments after submitting my order, and a shipment confirmation three days later. The item arrived well-packaged six days after my initial order. However, when I opened it, I did not receive the product as advertised on their website. The product page said the advertised price were for three brass strips; I received one. I e-mailed customer service as they have no phone number for online order issues, and I received a response about 24 hrs later telling me I have to return the item, and then they'll decide to either refund my money or send me a new one. No mention of my return shipping costs for a large, priority mail tube. Very irritating, since all I want are the 2 missing strips, not the inconvenience of re-packaging the incorrect order, paying for return shipping, and then waiting to see what they decide. Will not order from again in the future.
UPDATE: The company finally processed my return, and after return shipping costs, I am out $12 because of THEIR mistake. My refund wasn't even for what I originally paid. Poor business practice if you ask me. I don't care if it was the manufacturer's error - why should it cost me $12 for Hobbylinc's mistake? (I ended up finding the item, correct quantity, for the exact same price at Ace Hardware.) Bear this in mind when placing an order: if their website ends up showing an item wrong, it will cost you a bit of money. I'd shop elsewhere, and definitely will in the future. The reviewer after me is lucky that they could make due with their incorrect shipment; I could not. "
"I Love this company. They have a Huge selection and consistent low prices. I always know I am getting a good price ordering from them. Ordering is easy and communication is great. I have had great customer service over the years (used them since 2000) but then again I'm not 'one of those customers' if you know what I mean. "
"If you are looking for customer service, look elsewhere. On January 19th I placed an order for a SCX 10080 slot car set. When I placed the order I was told that the order would be shipped out on the 22nd and I would have it between the 26th and 28th. I thought this is perfect because my son's birthday party was on the 30th. On Monday the 25th I checked the status of my order and I saw that they were still awaiting payment. Mind you, I placed the order online then I had to call Hobbylinc.com to give them my credit card number directly and at that point they had my payment info. So on Monday the 25th I sent an email to see what was going on and I was told that THEY made a mistake and they could not get me the set in time for my son's birthday. I went back to the Hobbylinc.com website and saw that the set was "in stock" but yet they couldn't ship it out until Friday because they were waiting on a shipment to arrive. Hmmm, call me old fashioned but If you say something is "in stock" that means you have it on your shelf somewhere and can retrieve it in a short period of time. I suspect that many online retailers don't stock much of anything and have products drop shipped directly from the distributors. Anyway, I pleaded with Hobbylinc.com to do something like expedite the shipping from wherever the set was coming from and they refused. They left me between a rock and a hard place because now I only had 5 days to find the set elsewhere and pay for expedited shipping myself. I find their lack of customer support unacceptable. As someone who owns a small business, I am a man of my word. If I make a mistake, I will do everything in my power to correct it. Even if it means making less money because it's all about happy customers returning over and over again."
