Cancelled order and won't give my money back!

"Wanting to take advantage of Hollister's 20% OFF sale, i went into the store and realized most of the items i wanted were not in stock.

so, i asked the manager if i could make an in store order and have it shipped to my house.
- He said: no problem! I just need to know the item number and the size of your items.
- I said: I have somewhat 30 items i want to purchase, is that ok?
- He said: no problem (again).

so, i gave him what he needed and the total came out to be almost $400 (without the sale it would've been $600 or more).
Gave him my address, my email and tried to pay cash but couldn't.
- He said: i will just purchase a gift card of the amount your total is and buy your items with the gift card.
- I said: i want to pay cash because they have cancelled my order before and i was only trying to buy 6 items online.
- He said: this is like cash. don't worry, your order will not get cancelled. (and smiled)

I accepted his strategy on buying it with the gift card and the transaction was done!
Took my receipt and left.

Later i had noticed that he did not give me the gift card or the receipt for it.
i went back and he said: you don'y need it. just your receipt is fine.

BOOM! the next day i get an email that my order was cancelled, of course! (as i suspected)

I immediately called Hollister's customer's service number and they told me to write an email to Hollisterco and then wait 48h for a respons.

i also called the store where i purchased the items, they told me that if i didn't have the receipt for the gift card... it could take up to 2 WEEKS to get my money back, ohhh and it would probably be another hollister gift card. (why would i want a gift card from a store who won't let me buy their items? sounds senseless to me.

well, it's been almost a week and i have not heard from Hollister through email/calls/or anyt other mean.

NOTE: Hollister cancels your orders if they suspect you are re-selling. so when they have a nice sale with a code they will basically cancel any order they want to. but here's the thing...

1- who cares what i do with the items i purchase? selling, cleaning my kitchen floor or wiping my behind.
2- I have never heard of any company that DIS-encourages their customers from buying their merchandise (it sound pretty crazy to me)
3- 90% of my clothes are Hollister & Abercrombie... so when there is a sale, i will take advantage of it.
4- what if i had 7 kids and wanted to buy it all for them? i couldn't?

I think i will shop else where for a while and even convince my friends and family to do the same. this is the most ridiculous thing i have ever experienced and ever so embarrassing.

i don't have my money back, so i can't shop somewhere else for now.
I don't want a gift card because I CAN'T buy what i want from them or take advantage of the sale (it over).

Don't i have customer rights or something?
This has got to change... it is getting out of hand.

"i'm very disappoint with hollister return service , i just wanna exchange t shirt with different size and they charging me for return ansd its taking too long for return . almost 15 days over but i didn't get my t shirts and i asked for same colors but they don't have stock for colors how they are maintaining a big brand ........worst service "

"horrible experience. I ordered a Christmas present off there. I didn't receive it for about a week, and i got an email saying my order was back-ordered. Now, i've just been informed my order has been cancelled and i wont get it for Christmas. Horrible."

"I've ordered from Hollister.com a few times so far. Generally, I've had a good experience with ordering from it, but there have been a couple particular pieces of clothing that didn't come out right— one tight-fitting long sleeved cropped top was oddly fitted. It wasn't as tight-fitting as I thought it would be... it had these bumps that wrinkled up that I couldn't get rid of. I still wear it though. Another one were these palazzo pants I bought— they came with a tiny hole on them. But I didn't have time to deal with returning it so I still have it. Actually, the hole hasn't gotten bigger at all even though I've worn and washed it a lot. It's nearly impossible to notice. Besides these two articles of clothing, it's pretty good. They're pretty much always on sale so the clothes are super cheap (which is also a reason why I'd rather shop at Hollister than Abercrombie). My experience with customer service has been great. Everyone here seems to have a major problem with it, which I can definitely believe, but either I got lucky or they've made recent improvements. On my last purchase, everything seemed to be going great. But then FedEx screwed up my package by damaging it. I contacted Hollister (via email) about it, and within a few hours, they resolved everything. They shipped out another package (with expedited shipping) for what I purchased at no extra fee. They also offered free shipping for my next order, which I am pretty happy about :). "

"First time ordering something from Hollister, and I was super excited because their bikini tops were on sale for like $8-$10! So I bought four tops and waited for my shipment to come in. Shipped out on 6/25, said it was going to arrive 7/6. Well, once 7/6 came around, my package was no where in sight. I checked the tracking again to see where it was. The last update was 6/30, "In Transit." I e-mailed customer service and they said for me to wait, as shipments to Hawaii take at 12 business days. So I waited even more. It's the 12th business day (7/13) and I asked customer support the status of my shipment, since it still hasn't arrived. Turns out the carrier (Fedex Smartpost/USPS) lost my shipment. Seriously?! Never ordering from this site again, no matter how good the sale is. "

"Hollister is the worst online store ever! I placed several orders and each one was cancelled on there end. I finally called to find out why all of my orders kept getting cancelled and they said someone would clear it up in thext 48 hours. That was two weeks ago. It's really sad beacause where I live we cannot get surf type clothes. I can only imagine how much revenue they lose every month/ year due to this same problem for other customers. They really need to get it together. "

"Worst customer service ever. I never received my package. I called and they told me that I need to wait an additional 12 days for them to even think about this problem. The tracking info shows the last scan on 2/19/15. Customer service reps are rude and probably have no idea what they are doing. I called a few times regarding this problem. I got a different answer every single time.
Terrible company to deal with.

"Ordered my package a week ago and it hasn't even shipped yet, even though the expected DELIVERY date was today. I'm going away next week for college when I need it (I ordered a coat) and I probably won't even have it by then, nor can I cancel the order because apparently it's already processed. I sent an email asking about the shipping but all I got was a "wait 48 more hours," which I did. It's really stupid that they can't just go check and ship the order, since everyone here has been complaining about their shipping as of late. They even gave me a 20% off coupon on my next order like lol yeah as if I'd shop here again. "

"Honestly the worst when it comes to shipping. I placed my order early (3:30am) Dec. 1st. It didn't get shipped out until Friday Dec. 5th. Today is the 11th the day it is suppose to be here and the items are still not delivered. Their processing and their shipping times are horrible. I will never place an order with them again. And neither will my four cousins who also ordered on the same date as me and have yet to recieved their items. "

"Hollister is the worst shopping store in the world. There are no reason that they cancelled what customers bought. It seemed that they dont like selling for us. I placed an order for 3 times and it was canncelled without noticing and reasoning. I planned to buy some clothes for my family on Christmas, but now I have to plan these stuff again It sucks. Don't ever waist your time on this stores. "

"the worst ! don't wast your time. don't know what they are doing or are so arrogant that they don't care. horrible customer service and website , place order and it was canceled 2 times tried to reorder and it took 40 min to re order items from canceled order, said they send you a confirmation for 48 hours . why so long? every other company send in 2 minutes. to top it off never even got a confirmation. only ordered again b/c kids wanted for christmas Who runs this company? their phone number for customer service rings a fax line. So bad its funny. never again "

"Customer service and support for Hollister.ca is horrendous!! Responses to why my total was higher than what it should have been: don't know taxes in Canada (who cares? i told you what they are!!!), can't see Cdn site because I am in the US (then what good are you for providing cust service to Cdn customers???), can't modify order because paid with Paypal (Yay, great for making that clear!). Laschandra on chat gave me misinformation which resulted in my getting charged shipping by placing two orders instead of one. Colette on the "chat" function has has the IQ of mouse. Did not answer questions and responses were incomprehensible. My 15 year old was absolutely amazed at her stupidity! I say screw Aber and Hollister if they cannot provide decent customer service to Canadians! What total BS! never ordering these sorry excuses for retailers again."

"Awful online purchase.

Ordered on 31st of August and was told it would arrive by the 3rd of September...it got here on the 8th. The shirts sizing guide was completely off; I'd measured my torso to make sure that the shirt would fit, and the measurements did co-inside, but upon trying it on when it arrived...it was HUGE.

When it comes to returns, there is no other option to send it other than UPS, and also in the (huge) box that it arrived in otherwise it wouldn't be accepted - plus they forgot to include a returns label. If I was to return, it would mean a cost of £9.00 that would be deducted from my refund...and the same applies for an exchange and the £9.00 would not be reimbursed ....RIDICULOUS!

Never ordering from Hollister again.
