"I ordered on 12/2. Part of the order shipped 12/7. One item did not ship because it was back ordered. (at the tiem I placed my order it was instock). It is now the 17th and I have yet to receive anything even after 10 DAYS. Last item scheduled to ship today. I will not receive by 12/21 which is when I need them by. I called and spoke with someone and was offered no compensation what so ever. They didn't care if my daughter's Christmas doesn't arrive ontime."

"i wouldnt suggest this shopping site even to my worst enemy. you contact them with a concern about a problem they caused with your order and they tell you that everything will be fine and theyll fix it, when in fact they do nothing about it and have you wait for long periods of time for your order. "This was my first order with Hollister. I am torn with how I feel about the transaction (see last paragraph). I found a couple shirts and my niece ordered a pair of shorts and a tank top. I ordered on a Sunday and they didn't ship until Thursday. Rather than providing tracking with UPS, they provide shipping updates on the Hollister website. And unless you have cable Internet or faster, the website takes quite a while to load.
When the package arrived I noticed they sent an extra pair of shorts the same as my niece ordered but 5 sizes larger. They sent the correct pair too and didn't charge me for the extra pair, but this was still a mistake. I saw from the initials on the invoice that the package was reviewed and verified by an extra person. The mistake could have easily gone the other way.
All the items ordered were from their clearance section, but there were no discounts or shipping coupons available when I placed my order. Shortly after placing my order I started receiving promotional emails, at my request. I received one that offered 25% off and flat $5 shipping. I browsed the website to see if there were any more items I wanted. The price on the shirts I had ordered INCREASED by 57%! Imagine that. They offered a discount coupon but increased the prices on every single item by more than the coupon. Not very honest business practices. I would have ended up paying even more after their "discounts." I'm leery about buying anything else."

"I have ordered from Hollister online a dozen times, and shopped in the store many times as well. I always find the workers kind and somewhat helpful, even if slightly incompetent. I have always been pleased, and the order that I just received has left me no different. Out of all the times I have ordered online, I have received one incorrect item which I returned in a store and they refunded me the price of the item which was more than the item I was supposed to receive. "I placed an order on HollisterCo.com. I used a $50 e-gift card that I had received for buying $200 worth of gift cards in November. The e-gift card did not have an expiration date on it, and the system accepted it at checkout, leaving a balance of $1.73. It requested another form of payment to cover the $1.73. I provided a credit card. The email notification stated the gift card would be charged at the time of shipping. When the items shipped, I checked my credit card and found the entire $51.73 had been charged to my credit card. I immediately contacted CS and was told the e-gift card had expired January 31st. Nowhere on the e-gift card was that reflected nor was it mentioned in the email with the link to claim the e-gift card nor when you clicked on the link and were directed to the e-gift card was this reflected - AND the system had accepted it as valid!! After going around a couple of times, I told them fine, I would refuse the package when it came, and never shop there again. I was notified that I would not be refunded the original shipping cost which I understood (but wasn't happy about because I still felt this was fradulent conduct on their part). Well, yesterday I received confirmation that the package had been returned back and they docked me an additional $7 for shipping and handling - over the original s/h cost of $8!! Retailers have told me for years to refuse the package and never charged me additional s/h for doing so! I, like the previous rater, am not new to online shopping. I've been doing for 10 years now, and have NEVER had an experience like this one. I plan to report them to BBB and dispute the charge on my credit card as well. I also will not purchase gift cards for my children anymore or allow them to shop there."
"BUYERS BEWARE. Do not shop at Hollister.com. This was one of several online retailers we shopped at during the holiday season. Our experience? Clothing claimed to be 'in-stock' on the website turned out to be backordered upon payment, the payment and confirmation email receipt did not match, and the $50 gift certificate promised on purchases over $150 was never mailed. What did we do? Contacted customer service and they claime to be 'investigating the issue'. It's been 2 weeks now and the only response is automated replies on us following up on the inquiry. They refuse to provide explanation or be of any helpful assistance. As a seasoned online shopper, Hollister.com is one sure to pass up. "
