"I have been using HomeAdvisor for just over a year now. The leads are very sporadic. I do home improvement work. When you get a lead, you are 1 of several that get the information. A lot of times, the customer won't respond to your calls. Or, if they are the wrong category, it's very difficult to get a refund. Seems always a reason you can't get credit. Tried to expand my leads, but they are SO EXPENSIVE! For gutters and covers the lead cost was around $15.00 each. Not bad but after you receive 10 and you are now out over $150.00, you see that the cost per lead that is good is $45-75 each. Window or siding leads are incredibly expensive. These lead range from $78-99 each. The leads I received from this category were names I could not even pronounce. So 10 leads at $80 average each=$870! That means i'm in the hole almost a thousand bucks before even talking to a potential customer. A couple of days ago, I received a bill for over $200 for the "annual fee". Well, i'm not paying it. I pay more than enough for leads that also paying an "annual fee" is out of the question. I just sent them an email canceling my service. I really don't know any contractor that is still using this service. Most, like i'm now doing, are switching to google adwords. So, use HomeAdvisor at your own risk. Take a look at the videos on Youtube. All the same story."
