"The first “Pro” from Home Advisor that came to my house to view the project and provide an estimate was very unprofessional."

"HomeAdvisor has created a masterful system that **** dry and then dumps contractors. First they imply to customers that the entire service is free, so there's a lot of window shoppers/price estimators...the only problem there is that the contractor gets CHARGED $$$ for every single "lead," no matter how ridiculous or impossible it is. I perform building inspections and was sent a "lead" that wanted solar panels installed. Do you think I got a refund? NO! Their phone line doesn't work? NO REFUND! Customer doesn't speak English? TOO BAD!

You'll also get requests in the middle of the night (which you miss of course) and then H.A. has the gall to say that you should have responded within 2 minutes. By the way, there is no way to turn off leads at night, so...you lose a LOT of money this way. I strongly suspect some of the leads are fake, just to extract more $. I also turned off leads for 2 weeks while I was on vacation, yet magically I still received--and was charged for--two leads. Their leads are not cheap, so please do not use HomeAdvisor to "window shop." Better yet, don't use them at all, look at some reviews and just contact companies directly.

It may also be of interest to people that HomeAdvisor absolutely burns through customer service reps, probably because they realize they are working for such a despicable company that completely screws the pros it depends on."
